PRODUCT REVIEW: COSRX AHA 7 WHITEHEAD POWER LIQUID, SKIN AND LAB PINK CLAY FACIAL MASK, HEIMISH CLEAN BALM AND BENTON SNAIL BEEN ESSENCE FROM LET'S FACE IT!

I am generally very new to K-Beauty, but been super impressed with what I’ve had the chance to try so far - I naturally jumped at the chance when I was offered by Let’s Face It to try a selection of K-Beauty products..

Let’s Face It is an online beauty store bringing the best of Korean skincare into the Australian market. I put the following products to the test;

  • Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid*
  • Skin & Lab Pink Clay Facial Mask*
  • Heimish All Clean Balm (sample)*
  • Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence (sample)*

The Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is a chemical exfoliator using 7% glycolic acid from sugar cane to exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores, brighten dull spots and pigmentation, along with 75% apple water rich in vitamin C and antioxidants and AHA to act as a natural exfoliator also adding hydration to the skin, as well as niacinamide (B3) to help regenerate the skin, boost collagen production retain moisture.

It can be applied to the skin with a cotton pad, but personally I prefer to dab it into my skin using my fingers for less wastage. You then wait approx 20-30 minutes before applying another product such as serum or moisturiser, so you do not ‘dilute’ the product.

On first application it tingles every so slightly, but it is just a sign that it is working. But if you’ve got sensitive skin, it is recommended to start slow and use every few days and then gradually build up usage. My skin is not sensitive so after a few uses, I’ve been able to use daily. And I’m really enjoying it as it is leaving my skin feeling so much smoother. I also feel it has helped reduce congestion and breakouts, and overall simply leave my skin looking more even, glowing and radiant. It is also quite inexpensive, and if you do as I do and dab into the skin with your fingers, a little will go a long way too.

The Skin & Lab Pink Clay Facial Mask is designed to help cleanse and purify the skin by absorbing impurities and dead skin cells without drying out the skin, leaving it brighter, firmer and glowing. The key ingredient is pink clay containing minerals to nourish the skin and retain moisture while gently exfoliating and removing excess sebum.

It also contains pink flower complex, aloe vera leaf extract, jojoba seed oil and broccoli extract to add antioxidants, minerals, fatty acids and vitamins to the skin, add intense hydration, heal acne, stimulate collagen production and soothe the skin. It is to be used on clean skin, and left on for about 10-15 minutes before rinsed off.

It has a lovely subtle sweet floral scent, and I like that it unlike many other clay masks, doesn’t dry completely and thus doesn’t leave your face feeling tight, dry and uncomfortable. Once rinsed off, my skin is feeling so soft and smooth and looking clean and glowing. I am not sure I’ve noticed any difference in the overall brightness, but I do feel that regular use has helped my leave my skin less greasy and clear up existing breakouts faster. The mask is also great use on specific problem areas, such as the t-zone.

I also tried a few samples including the Heimish All Clean Balm and Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence, and I’ve for obvious reasons only used each once or twice so hence just my initial thoughts about these.

The Heimish All Clean Balm is solid balm made with botanical ingredients, including Shea Butter to moisturise the skin and improve skin elasticity, Citrus Herb Oil to relax and calm, Coconut Fruit Extract to condition and soften and White Flower Complex to balance the skin and improve skin tone.

Once massaged into the skin, the solid balm transforms into an oil cleanser to cleanser to melt away and remove makeup quickly and easily. I love how it easily removes all my makeup, including long-wearing and waterproof, yet leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

The Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence is made using snail secretion filtrate, niacinamide, peptides and bee venom to help improve skin tone and texture, help heal acne and an overall clearer and younger looking smoother and plumper skin. It also contains peptides to help stimulate collagen and skin regeneration. It has a light watery slightly runny consistency and it absorbs quickly into the skin without stickiness. I like the light consistency of this, and how it does add some extra moisture and nourishment to my combination skin, without making it feel greasy. It does leave my skin feel soft and smooth after each use, but obviously after just few uses I am unable to speak of any difference in my skin tone or breakouts, but overall first impressions are good, and I’d easy to apply and

Finally, just how gorgeous is that Let’s Face It Headband, with its little pink ears. It’ll be sure to leave you looking super cute at any pampering session.
