PRODUCT REVIEW // JEUNIFIQUE REJUVI-NITE SERUM (SPONSORED)

Today I am going to talk about an Australian brand I’ve only recently come across, Jeunifique. The brand makes products using sustainably-sourced, cruelty-free whole botanicals, free from sulphates, parabens, lanolin, mineral oil, SLS, and artificial colours and fragrances.

I have put the Jeunifique Rejuvi-Nite Serum* to the test. It is designed for all skin types including dry, normal and acne-prone skin types, showing signs of ageing, loss of elasticity or dullness to help detoxify, nourish, hydrate and boost the skin’s own immunity, while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and soothing inflammation, for a more glowing youthful skin.

It is made using potent botanical actives , and key ingredients including;

  • Vitamin A in a 0.2% concentration to help firm and revitalise the skin, and reduce skin pigmentation for a more even and brighter skin tone
  • Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) to help the skin retain hydration, and increase skin elasticity
  • Vitamin B5 to deeply hydrate and add anti-inflammatory properties to help stimulate the skin’s healing processes
  • Hyaluronic Acid to add hydration, and improve appearance of fine lines for a plumper and smoother skin
  • Levulinic Acid, a natural plant acid to promote the conditioning and toning of the skin.
  • Allantoin to moisturise and nourish the skin
  • Mandarin Cold Pressed Oil to calm and soothe stressed skin and combat acne, age spots and scarring
  • Matrixyl 3000, a combination of two peptides, to stimulate collagen and elastin production for a more youthful firmer skin

The serum comes in a simplistic little black bottle with white writing, and I love its sleek design and the fact that it comes with a pump makes it easy to dispense just the amount needed without wastage. It has a lovely subtle sweet fruity citrus scent from the mandarin oil, which I really love too.

I have been, as recommended, using it as a night serum only - as it contains retinol, which is known to make the skin more sensitive to the sun. I have been using it on clean skin, prior to my usual night cream. It is quite concentrated, so I only need a small pump to cover my full face and neck.

Retinols can be both irritating and drying out the skin if you’re not used to them, and hence they are often in oil based serums, to counter this, which can make them appear greasy, so I love that this comes in a super light gel-like serum, which immediately absorbs into my combination skin without any greasiness. I also love how it instantly makes my skin feel so silky soft and smooth.

Lines, wrinkles and pigmentation are results of years of exposing the skin to the elements, so you cannot expect miracles over night. But after using the serum for a good 3 weeks now, my first impressions are definitely good. I am not sure that I as such can see any major difference in my lines or wrinkles, or the appearance of my pigmentation. However, I do love that it has not made my skin greasier, congested and make it break out, as well as it hasn't caused any irritation or dryness. But I can see that my skin is deeply nourished and moisturised, and can feel that it feels silky soft and smooth - and as a consequence it is also looking plumper, more revitalised and fresher too. My skin  also has a lovely healthy glow.

Overall this Rejuvi-Nite Serum really is lovely and my skin is clearly enjoying it. It is well priced considering the high quality, and I love the fact that the Australian made product is free from all the chemical nasties and chemical free too. I’d certainly be keen on trying more from their beautiful range.
