I admit that I am such a coffee drinker, and while I do enjoy the occasional tea, especially during winter of if I have a cold, I am just not fond of Matcha. Just something about the flavour that I am just not sure about.
But then this gorgeous tub of Matcha Face Gel from Ottoman3 landed on my desk..
I’ve always known Ottoman3 for their fantastic range of brow products, which I’ve previously talked about and you can read more about here - so it did come as a bit of a surprise that the brand now also has skincare.
According to Ottoman3, this Matcha Face Gel is the world’s first skin care made with Matcha Powder!! Matcha Face Gel is made using, naturally, microfine Matcha powder from green tea leaves which is a powerful antioxidant-rich elixir that helps combat ageing and damage, while also reduces inflammation, protects against free radicals, and treats all skin types.
It also contains Vitamin E and aloe vera leaf juice which helps add intense hydration while giving it a lovely refreshing scent and a soothing and refreshing feeling on the skin.
The gel is so super light on the skin, and absolutely perfect for my combination skin, absorbing instantly, leaving it feeling so soft and smooth and relaxed.
It comes in a gorgeous golden pump jar, so you do not have to constantly stick your fingers into it, which I really like, and a single small pump is sufficient to cover the full face.
It is best used prior to your usual moisturiser, so it is a kind of serum, though, in summer months where my skin tends to be a little greasier, I could imagine it would be more than sufficient on its own.
As it is so gentle on the skin, it can also be used post epilation, sun exposure or facial treatments, to help calm and soothe the skin again. The gel has a beautiful green colour and a fresh fruity scent that you can only love.
This is an absolutely gorgeous moisturiser that is a beautiful as it looks. Its absolutely perfect for my combination skin, and works perfectly used as a base under makeup during the day too. Definitely worth a try!
