The other week I was so lucky to be invited to a wellness event with cosmetics brand IT Cosmetics, which was absolutely amazing with a makeup masterclass with the brand’s National Education Manager, Josie Houlihan, followed by pilates (which I sadly couldn’t participate in due to hip injury), and followed by the most amazing brunch.
If you’re unfamiliar with IT Cosmetics, the products have developed by an American TV Anchor that had issues finding makeup that would stand up to the TV cameras and harsh lights. The products have been developed in cooperation with plastic surgeons and dermatologists, to develop products that are problem-solving, and loaded with anti-ageing and skin loving ingredients.
The masterclass was all about the Top 5 It Cosmetics Bestsellers you really need to try;
IT Cosmetics CC+ Colour Correcting Full Coverage Cream This CC Cream comes in three different finishes; Original, Oil-free Matte and Illuminating). It is a true multi-tasker, delivering 7 products in one, including, pore minimiser, dark spots & ageing concealer, colour corrector, brightener, hydrating primer, SPF physical sunscreen (SPF 40 for the Matte and SPF 50 for the Original and Illuminating) all while being a full coverage foundation. All in just one step.
I’ve long been a huge fan of the Original version, which contains hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins, giving the skin a full-coverage, diffusing the look of wrinkles, minimising the appearance of pores for a luminous, supple, flawless-looking complexion. It is also great at covering my increasing pigmentation, breakouts and acne scarring, but without looking cakes. I also love that it stays put for the day.
You can of course apply it with your fingers or a sponge, but the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection brush is just perfect for buffing it into the skin for an even more flawless look.
I’ve long wanted to try the It Cosmetics CC+ Pore Minimising Full Coverage Oil-Free Matte Cream*, so was excited to be able to take home a colour matched tube of that one. It is perfect for my acne prone skin as it is infused with charcoal to detoxify, colloidal clay to absorb oil and tea tree extract to combat blemishes, along with an advanced anti-aging serum made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins and antioxidants. It is also tested to reduce shine and control oil for up to 12 hours, so perfect for those of us with greasier skin. I love that it is matte, but still not chalky matte, so still looks very natural.
At the event I also got a change to have a better play with the last version, the It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Illumination Cream, and so loved it, so I made a quick detour past a Sephora shop (the only It Cosmetics stockist in Australia), so I could get my hands on it and thus complete my little CC+ family! The CC+ Illumination Cream also contains the hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins, but in addition, it also has micronised light-reflecting pigments to leave your skin glowing but without glitter or shimmer for a more radiant look.
I am not usually a fan of illuminating foundations, as I find it accentuates my lines and wrinkles, but actually I am so loving it, as it really does make my tired dull skin look like I’ve had the longest beauty sleep ever.

Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Ageing Waterproof Concealer*.
This concealer is infused with a proprietary Expression Proof™ Technology, plus anti-aging peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid, and it really is a full coverage as they say. It immediately helps cover dark circles, puffiness and pigmentation and brightens the eye area, and I love that it is contains anti-ageing and helps maintain hydration, and that it is waterproof so it doesn’t budge throughout the day, nor does it crack or settle into fine lines or wrinkles.
Its also available in a an Illumination formula, which I’m now hanging to get my hands to get some much needed glow for my dull tired skin.

To apply the CC Creams and the concealer, I’ve been loving the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush, which is a 2-in-1 brush designed with dual tips for flawless application. It has a foundation brush in one end for use on larger areas, and a smaller brush in the other end precision application in smaller spaces such as concealer under the eyes. Using the brush gives a nicer more even finish, as you can buff the foundation into the skin, yet still build up coverage naturally where needed.

IT Cosmetics Bye-Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder*
This translucent powder has an Optical Blurring Technology™using real silk to help make the pores disappear, along with hydrolyzed collagen, antioxidants, and peptides to help smooth away the signs of ageing.
It Cosmetics recommends to use this poser to set among others the concealer under the eyes, and I have to say that I was a tad sceptical - with my lines and wrinkles, I am so used to powders under the eyes settling into them - but I’ve so pleasantly pleasantly surprised as it not only made my eyes appear brighter, it actually also reduces the appearance of lines.
But it can also be used all over the face, both on bare skin, or on top of makeup, to both set the makeup and create an airbrushed finish, and minimise the appearance of pores, as well as keep the skin shine-free throughout the day.
It is also available in a pressed version, which I’d also love to get my hands on, as it will great for the handbag for touch ups on the go.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara*
This mascara promises you a 500% increase in volume in one coat, and can be built up further if needed. As someone who isn’t into false lashes, that’s music to my ears. On top, it also promises super length and super elastic strength, thanks to an Elastic Stretch Technology that stretches the look of the lashes wider and longer, and wraps each individual lash in a volume-boosting, lengthening, ultra-conditioning black cape of power and colour for stronger, thicker, and more defined lashes.
It contains lash-lifting polymers, volumizing collagen, strengthening biotin, proteins and peptides along with Super Black pigment and the Lash-Changing Power Brush to help coat all lashes, lift and separate them for a fuller lash line.
And I have to say that I am impressed. It really does deliver on all fronts, length, volume and curl - and I love the fact that it contains the lash loving ingredients so over time, with prolonged use, you can also expect to see a growth in the natural lashes, and who wouldn’t want that!!

IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil*
This brow pencil has been infused with biotin, lecithin, saw palmetto, nettle, green tea, antioxidants, grape seed, and vitamins A, B5, C and E plus proprietary Brow Power™, to help enhance the brows over time.
The pencil has a small tip to help create the impression of small fine hairs using small strokes, and a spool in the other end to brush through the brows at the end of a natural and more defined look.
Unlike other brow pens, this one has a taupe shade that is universal, as it adjusts to different brow based on pressure, with light pressure for lighter eyebrow hair colours including blonde and silver, and harder pressure for darker hair such brown and black. I am actually really amazed, but it really does work, who would have thought. It is easy to apply, and as someone who is not fond of too strong or bold brows, I love how this gives a very natural, yet defined and polished look.
