The other day I telling how my little boy is so excited to be starting prep at school in the new year, and going to the school and meeting his new classmates and teacher the other day, just made him even more excited.
Yes, after a year of kindergarten, as a mum, I am already used to the making of lunches, but now in school, it has to be done five days a week, so the variety is even more important, especially for someone like my boy who has never had a big appetite.

As you’ll read, I did find that lunch box and bottle a little on the smaller side for a school kid, but perfect for kindergarten, so today I am excited to be talking about the new Smash Bento Bite Lunch Box and Dual Wall Glow in the dark Bottle.
The Bento Bite Lunch Box is bigger in design, and it has lots of features, including;
- Removeable inner tray (1100ml), with 6 deep compartments for a variety of food, fruit and snacks of all sizes
- A snack pot (85ml) that is leak proof, so perfect for yoghurts, dips and juicy fruits
- Ice brick - underneath the inner tray, there is a skinny ice brick that helps keep lunches cool. It is removable so it can go in the freezer overnight.
- Sealed lid that helps prevent spills to keep the food fresh
- Child friendly latch that is easy to open for little hands
- A durable outer case to protect the lunch box from drips and bumps
This is such a clever lunch box and I love how it allows for a range of different foods, yet separates them without any risk of spills. Nothing worse than a soggy sandwich. I also love that it comes with the ice brick to ensure the freshness of the food.
The lunch box comes in a turquoise and bright green design wit dinosaurs for the boys, and in a pink and purple version for the girls.
Then there’s the Dual Wall Bottle, which has the same cool dinosaur design to match the lunch box (but is also available in a matching one for the girls lunch box). I love that the bottle is not just BPA free so there’ll be no plastic nasties contaminating the drink, and that it has a dual wall to help keep the drink cool for longer, and that it is easy for little hands to hang onto and open too without any spillage. With 500ml it has a good size to keep kids supplied with water throughout the day, and they’re sure to love the glow in the dark feature.
