And just like that, its Friday again, which also means that it is time for anther instalment of Fragrance Friday... yeah, I know, had a smaller break, but fingers crossed the fragrance features can make some regular occurrences again. Anyway, today Fragrance Friday is all about the newest scent from Delta Goodrem. Following the success of the first fragrance by Delta Goodrem, called Delta, she has now released a second scent Dream by Delta*. According to Delta is “Dream is all about having the belief that dreams can and do come true,” Delta says.
The fragrance contains among others;
- Top Notes - juicy nectarine, wild moon flower, whipped orris,
- Middle Notes - almond milk, gardenia petals, iris
- Base Notes - blonde woods, heliotrope
The Dream fragrance is quite different to the Delta fragrance. It is a warmer and more floral woody musky scent, which also makes it a more sensual scent, also not least to the added gardenia, which I feel always adds depth to a fragrance.
I am not usually fond of woody musky scent as I find they can be quite overpowering, but I think thanks to the added nectarine and also almond milk, it also has a sweet slight powdery fruitiness that somehow pares it back a little - and also means that it is also suitable for both night time and day time wear. Though essentially, the name, Dream, along with the dark blue bottle, and that it is a slightly heavier scent, does make me prefer to use for a night out.
The Dream fragrance comes in a similar bottle to the Delta scent, only this one is deep and dark blue with a stunning blue metallic lid, as well as the gorgeous star and moon charm hanging around the neck of the bottle. The dark blue bottle makes it look absolutely stunning, and also in my opinion, gives it a more luxurious feel.
I admit that I still personally prefer the first Delta Scent, Delta, for the pure reason that I prefer fresh and fruity scent, which it is. However that said, Dream is a gorgeous scent, warm floral and sightly woody musky scent, and definitely one that’s worth checking out.
