PRODUCT REVIEW: ORGANIC NATION SUPERNATURAL8 REVOVERY OIL, BLACK RICE SCRUB, HYDRATION DAY CREAM WITH STEM-CELL AND VANILLAMINT BODY MOISTURISER
Some time ago I was lucky to go to an event introducing a range of new products, one of them was Organic Nation Bioactive, and while I immediately started using them and loved them, I for some reason only just got around to writing my through about them..
Organic Nation is an Australian owned and made brand, using nothing but the best and most powerful non-toxic certified organic ingredients powered by cosmeceutical science, and selected for their potency and ability to repair, heal and transform the skin, and one thing that makes them unique and sets the brand apart from other organic products, is that the are using a stem-cell science, along with Vitamins A, C and peptides for proven results.
I tried the following products,
Vanillamint Body Moisturiser with Aloe and Superberries*
Black Rice Scrub with Ginseng and Ginko*
S8 Supernatural8 Recovery Oil*
Hydration Day Cream with plant stem-cell science*
The Organic Nation Vanillamint Body Moisturiser with Aloe and Superberries is an intensely hydrating body lotion with aloe leaf juice and super berries, that help even the skin tone and improve skin’s elasticity.
The cream also has added shea butter to moisturise and protect, tazman pepper, riberry and mutari berry to add longterm hydration and antioxidants, along with essential oils from vanilla and peppermint to add a gorgeous warm and fresh scent and leave the skin feeling refreshed.
This Body Moisturiser is at the higher end of what I’d usually spend on a body product, but that said, it is seriously divine. It instantly leaves my skin feeling so silky soft and smooth, without any greasiness, but with a nice healthy sheen, and I just adore the fresh peppermint scent, such a refreshing change from the usual floral scented body products.
The Black Rice Scrub with Ginseng and Ginko is the most gorgeous facial cleanser that exfoliates, detoxifies and cleanses the skin, to remove dead skin cells, excess sebum and impurities for smoother, softer skin with a healthy glow.
The Black Rice Scrub is beautiful to use – it deeply cleanses and detoxifies the skin whilst exfoliating and resurfacing. It contains the powerful antioxidants Ginkgo and Ginseng and Lavender, Vetiver and Jasmine essential oils, Vetiver known as “the oil of tranquility” to provide a warm and earthy aroma.
It is made using crushed black rice to gently buff away dead skin cells, along with Ginko and ginseng to help enhance cellular function and stimulate cell regeneration, while also purifying the skin, and finally, activated charcoal, a natural antibacterial agent that cleanses the skin deeply and detoxifies pores. It has a gorgeous natural warm floral scent thanks to the added essential oils from Lavender, Vetiver and Jasmine.
The scrub can be used 2-3 times per week, and it is seriously magic. I admit that, whilst I love a chemical exfoliator, there is also nothing better than a physical scrub where you can actually feel the scrubbing particles, and especially when it is as gentle as this one. It is very concentrated so you only need the smallest amount, and it leads my skin softer and smoother than ever, helping to keep my pores clearer and thereby reduce breakouts, but certainly also mean that my skin looks so much better and more radiant without makeup.
Then there’s the S8 Supernatural8 Recovery Oil, which is an anti-ageing recovery oil made from a blend of powerful plant oils and super fruit vitamins to help soothe, repair and deliver exceptional hydrating and fortifying benefits to the skin. Ideal to detoxify, smooth and balance normal or uneven skin.
The oil is designed for all skin types, and it can be used as a night treatment, or alternatively, by adding 1-2 drops to your day-time moisturiser.
It is called S8 as it contains the oils from 8 different plants, including Camellia, Argan, Grape Seed, Rosehip, Jojoba, Olive, Neroli, and Lime, to add deep nourishing moisture, heal the skin, ease inflammation, regulate natural oil production and reduce prevent blemishes and acne, brighten and plump the and reduce the appearance of scars.
With my breakout prone skin, I am always cautious when using facial oils, but I didn’t need to worry, as the actual oil is quite light and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on my skin. That said, I have preferred to use it at night as am alternative to my usual night cream, simply as I generally feel that oil serums reduce the longevity of my makeup during the day. The oil is again quite concentrated, and I need less than a full pump to cover my full face and neck. It has a gorgeous fruit floral scent from the neroli and lime essential oils.
I’ve been so enjoying how it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth, and more plump and hydrated. I am not entirely sure that it has made a difference to the amount of breakouts that I tend to get, or reduced the appearance of my old acne scars, but I do love that my skin appears brighter, more even and glowing.
Finally, I have also been using the Hydration Day Cream with Plant Stem-Cell science along with nourishing plant emollients. The cream contains among others Indian gentian leaves that help stimulate the skin to self-regenerate and improve the look of ageing skin, along with Kakadu plum, high in vitamin C to slow the skins of ageing, promote collagen and smooth texture. In addition, it also has jojoba oil and Argan oil to help reduce acne breakouts and heal wounds, improve skin tone and elasticity whilst leaving it nourished and hydrated. It has a lovely scent from the added Rose and Neroli essential oils.
The actual cream is designed for all skin types, and has a very light, almost gel-like consistency. Again, with my combination skin, I like that it absorbs so quickly, and while it is quite moisturising it is not greasy on my skin, which also means that it works perfectly under my makeup.
Finding a moisturiser that has anti-ageing benefits, yet work with my blemish prone skin, can be quite tricky, but the mere fact that it is not making my skin breakout, means that I’m really enjoying this moisturiser, and how it leaves my skin so deeply nourished.
Overall I have really enjoyed using these products and will continue to do so. I often find that organic products are very basic, which is not necessary a bad thing, because basic can be good - however, I find that Organic Nation has managed deliver products which are even more effective and advanced for which I really applaud them.
I am particularly loving the Body Moisturiser and Black Rice Scrub, and definitely keen on trying out more from the brand including especially the Detoxifying Clay Whip Masque, Enlighten3 Skintone Anti-Anti-Ageing Serum and Skinfood4 Vitamin Anti-Ageing Serum.
