PRODUCT REVIEW: VTECH FRIDGE NUMBERS

Yet again time for another toy review with the aid of my boys, and today we are going to talk about the new Vtech Fridge Numbers.. 

The Vtech Fridge numbers is a cool little electronic reader device which comes with 20 interactive tiles. The little tiles are magnetic so they can stick to the fridge - but personally I very quickly discovered that our stainless steel door got tiny scratches from being dragged around on the door, so have stopped our boys from playing with it there - but if you have a white fridge door or other magnetic areas, these may be better suited.

You can place the different interactive tiles in the little dog, Scout's picnic basket, and hear him say what's on the time, the various fruit and vegetable names, or the number. He also says things like 'Can you find one banana for my picnic lunch?', and when you place the matching food tile in his picnic basket, you'll hear the numbers and a 'Great! One banana. I have one banana in my picnic basket'. If you press it again there are little games, such as 'Bananas are a fruit. Can you find another fruit?'.

The reader comes with 10 colorful number tiles and 10 matching food set tiles, and also helps encourage skills such as;

• Matching numbers to quantities 
• Counting 
• Colours 
• Food types 
• Singing 

The Vtech Fridge Numbers is intended for kids aged 2-4, and it is so perfect for our two year old. He thinks it is so much fun inserting the little tiles and discovering what the little cute dog will say next. And he loves that he recognises more and more of the images and words. And because of this little reader, within minutes of playing with it, he started saying so many new words!!

The reader itself is quite small and light, so it is also perfect for bringing with you when going to cafes etc, to keep your little one entertained, though you do naturally need to keep an eye out for the tiles.

So all in all this is really a fantastic interactive toy, that will keep your little one entertained over and over again, while encouraging learning, so highly recommended.
