Product Review: Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser

Today I’d like to share with you a review of a tinted moisturiser that I’ve been loving lately. Here are my thoughts on the Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser;

What They Say:
"This super-absorbent tinted moisturizer not only hydrates, but creates a soft-focus effect that minimizes the look of large pores and fine lines. Hydrates, prevents water loss, calms skin and improves elasticity while providing water resistance to 40 minutes. Creates a soft-focus effect minimizing the look of pores and fine lines. What I Say:

I recently fell in love with the Liquid Minerals and the Rose Dawn Bronzer from Jane Iredale, so I was so excited trialling the Dream Tinted Moisturiser as well.

When I first got this Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Medium Light, I first thought that it was incredibly pale and no way it would be a match to my medium neutral skin tone. But I was wrong. Although looking so pale and with a bit of a greyish tint in the tube, this blends into my skin perfectly.

The cream is very light and is so easy to apply to the skin. It gives a very light matte coverage, and somehow it evens my skin tone and covering redness, minor pigmentation and blemishes and smaller scars better than better covering tinted moisturisers, yet it looks like you are almost not wearing any foundation at all. I found it easy to apply using my fingers, although you can achieve an even more even result if using a foundation brush.

The Dream Tint blended into my hands - basically invisible!

The tinted moisturiser promises to add moisture to the skin, and you can really feel that it does. It not only provides a nice coverage to the skin, it also makes the skin look plumper and stops it from settling into fine lines throughout the day, all while giving the skin a nice and natural glow.

It lasts well on the skin without making my skin feel greasy or shiny throughout the day, even without using a primer first. And after using for several weeks, I am so happy to say that it is not causing my blemish prone skin to breakout or feel congested.

I also love that it contains SPF15, although for the Australian climate a little higher SPF would always have been preferred.

The Tinted Moisturiser is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which makes it so perfect for blemish prone skin like mine. It is also 40 minutes water resistant, so if you should get caught out in the rain, it won’t start to wash off your face.

Some foundations, especially those with SPF can be tricky to fully remove at night, but this tinted moisturiser, in spite of being water resistant too, removes easily with my normal cleanser, and once removed, my skin feels amazingly soft and moisturised.

The Tinted Moisturiser comes in a slim tube with a screw lid, and because it is so slim it is easy to pop into your makeup bag.

What I Like:
  • Evens out my skin so nicely, yet it looks like I am not wearing any foundation at all
  • Gives my skin a nice natural healthy looking glow
  • Stays put all day without settling into fine lines or making my skin look shiny or greasy
  • It doesn’t make my skin break out
  • Has SPF15
  • Is 40 minutes water resistant

What I Don’t Like:
  • It would be nice if it had a higher SPF
  • It is a little pricey

Overall, this is without a doubt the best tinted moisturiser I have tried for a long time. It evens out my skin tone and covers some minor scarring, without looking like you are wearing any foundation at all. It stays put all day on my combination skin, looking natural and glowingly healthy. It is a dream come true as it gives me the more flawless looking skin I’ve always dreamt off. I highly recommend it!

Have you ever tried any of the products from Jane Iredale? Do you use tinted moisturiser? Or do you prefer a higher coverage?
