PRODUCT REVIEW: ASAP DNA RENEWAL TREATMENT FROM RY
Today I'm going to share with you an exciting new launch from asap, the DNA Renewal Treatment… I've only recently tried some of the products from asap, and really loved the products, which you can read more about here - so I was very excited to put this newbie to the test.
And even more so as this products is so advanced… the treatment helps target the skin's own natural DNA repair process while giving it maximum hydration.
it contains among others a telomere technology, which are DNA repair enzymes that are designed to assist in the protection and repair of DNA damage, along with a Multi-Peptide Complex that helps enhance cellular longevity and vitality. But it doesn’t stop there as it also contains a self-regenerative stem cell technology and polyglucuronic acid help boost elasticity, collagen and cell renewal, which in turn helps promote a firmer skin, where lines and wrinkles are reduced, for an overall younger looking skin.
Asap claims that the DNA Renewal Treatment is clinically proven to give:
While it also;
In short this is an advanced anti-ageing product that is designed to not only help repair past damage, but also help protect your skin from future damage, as it also contains an anti-pollution complex protects the skin from pollution induced damage and reinforces the skin's natural barrier
The treatment is to be used at night om cleansed skin on the face, neck and décolleté, after other serums, and prior to moisturiser, or it can be used 2-3 times a week to maintain a youthful appearance.
The treatment comes in a luxe looking grey pump bottle, and the actual product has the consistency like a very light moisturiser/serum, and it absorbs into the skin immediately, without leaving the skin feeling greasy or tacky, but rather with a nice matte finish, so you barely notice it is there - and it is therefore also great for layering with other serums and moisturisers on top. It has a subtle and pleasant floral scent that quickly fades.
With my combination skin prone to breakouts, I am always concerned with new anti-ageing products as often they are simply too rich for my skin, quickly leaving it feeling congested and making it break out, but that has thankfully not been the case - on the contrary, I actually think it may have helped clear up and prevent new breakouts!
I've been using this treatment serum for about a month now, the first few weeks nightly, and hereafter 2-3 times a week, and have to say that I am more impressed with the results that I have already seen. My combination skin seems clearer and in general more refined, as well as it also seems more even in tone with pigmentation and sun damage clearly reduced in appearance, and consequently my skin looking more radiant and younger looking. While I never feel that my combination skin lacks moisture, I also feel that my skin is deeply moisturised and plumb, and that fine lines therefore appear to be less noticeable.
Overall I am really impressed with this DNA Renewal Treatment, as I feel it has such a significant effect on my skin in a very short period of time, - yes it is an extra step in your skincare routine as it is to be used prior to your serum, but if you are serious about anti-ageing and are looking to treat pigmentation, sun damage and dull uneven skin tone, then I highly recommend that you give it a try.

PRODUCT REVIEW: ASAP SKINCARE FROM SOHO SKINCARE
I recently tried some products from the brand asap for the first time, and I really loved them, so when Soho Skincare offered some different products for me to try, I happily accepted.
The asap Daily Facial Cleanser, is a very gentle cleanser that lathers up into a soft foam that gently cleanses your skin, removing all makeup (although I didn't try it on my eye makeup, always using a specific eye makeup remover on my sensitive eyes). The formula is oil free so it is perfect for combination and oily skin like mine, and in fact, because it also contains AHA, it not only removes makeup and impurities, it also gently loosens and removes dead skin cells, - hence giving the skin a gentle chemical exfoliation to reveal clear, brighter and smoother skin.
also gently foams to cleanse your skin and remove make-up (including eye make-up). It washes away impurities in one action, without drying or irritating your skin.
I personally like to se it as my second cleanse, after having removed my makeup with a specific makeup remover, as it thereby gives my skin a deep cleanser. And it immediately leaves your skin feeling soft and noticeably smoother, and also less greasy, so in my case, I felt that it also helped clear my skin and stop it from breaking out.
The asap Daily Exfoliating Scrub with AHA is a dual action facial exfoliator that contains both tiny beads to manually scrub the skin, as well as AHA to chemically exfoliate the skin and gently remove dead skin. The exfoliating scrub is very gentle, so it can still be used daily, and personally I prefer to use at night before bed so I know my skin is completely clean and free from makeup, build up of excess sebum etc - and after use, my skin is left incredibly soft and smooth, and over time my skin also seems more refined, as well as my skincare products seem to absorb better and quicker into my skin. But I have also noticed, as because my skin also appears to be less greasy, it also means that my makeup stays put looking nicer for longer.
Finally, the asap Moisturising Daily Defence is a moisturiser suitable for all skin types, which is designed to replenish essential moisture in the skin. It contains among others Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide to help increase moisture levels in the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as encouraging the development of collagen to improve the skin's elasticity and even out the skin tone.
I am yet to see the moisturiser have any effect on either lines, wrinkles or skin tone, but I do enjoy using this lightweight moisturiser as it absorbs quickly and easily into my skin, and without any greasiness. It is, however, clearly giving my skin intense moisture, which shows in my skin feeling and looking soft and smooth, and with a healthy glow. And as it is so light, it doesn't seem to make my skin feel congested or make it break out, which is always a bonus - especially seeing it also contains SPF, which I often suspect is the main culprit in making my skin flare up! And speaking of SPF, I do love that it comes with a massive broad spectrum SPF50 to protect my skin from harmful UVA and UVB, to prevent further premature ageing of my skin.
Overall I am really enjoying using these products from asap, and can certainly see myself purchasing these again, in particularly the Facial Cleanser and the Exfoliating Scrub have won me over!
Asap Daily Facial Cleanser with AHA - RRP: $35.53/ 200ml
Asap Moisturising Daily Defence - RRP: $77 / 2 x 100ml
Asap Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub with AHA - RRP: $35.53 / 200ml

PRODUCT REVIEW: ASAP SUPER SERUM A+, B SUPER COMPLEX AND RADIANCE SERUM FROM RY
Today I am going to chat about the Super Serum A+, B Super Complex and Radiance Serum from the brand asap which are available from the online beauty store, RY. asap is an Australian brand that makes Australian made cosmeceutical skincare and mineral makeup using innovative active ingredients.
The asap Super A+ Serum is revitalising overnight treatment product containing highly potent Vitamin A (retinol), as well as hyaluronic acid and biomimetic tripeptide to help minimise the appearance of sun damage and pigmentation and assist with a more even skin tone and texture, giving dull and lacklustre skin more glow. It also contains hyaluronic acid, tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E) and Symbiocell (cestrum latifolium leaf extract).
It also helps support the production of collagen for a firmer, plumber, smoother and more youthful looking skin. The serum furthermore also helps acne and breakouts heal faster.
As the serum is so potent it is important to get the skin used to using it by initially using it every other night and gradually increase to nightly. It also comes with the precaution of not to use it while pregnant as Vitamin A is known to cause birth defects in the unborn child!
For optimal use, it is recommended to use the Vitamin A+ serum in combination with the asap Vitamin B, by mixing the two serums together on the back of the hand.
However, as Vitamin A also makes the skin more susceptible to sun damage, it is always recommended to always use sunscreen when using this, (but you would anyway, wouldn't you!).
The Super B Complex is a serum that contains a high concentration of Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), which helps boost collagen production and reduce pigmentation, as well as it also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins B5 & B9, Resveratrol, to improve the skins texture and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
The serum helps provide and retain hydration to the skin, to make it softer, smoother and more radiant, and visibly reduce appearance of lines and wrinkles. It also helps boost collagen production and reduce pigmentation, evening out skin tone, as well as regulate sebum production and reduce appearance of redness including acne skin types.
The Super B Complex can be used both morning and evening, and it is used before other serums or moisturisers.
Finally, the asap Radiance Serum is a skin brightening serum that contains anti-ageing Biomimetic Tripeptide, a powerful AHA/BHA blend and a skin brightening botanical extract to increase cell renewal, rejuvenate skin and assist in the reduction of pigmentation, sun damage and acne, while also increasing the production of collagen and elastin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helping to hydrate, repair and regenerate protect against free radical damage. The Radiance Serum can also be used a more targeted acne/blemish treatment.
As I've been using the Super Serum A+, Super B Complex and Radiance Serums in combination over the last month or so, and it is therefore not possible to speak of the effects of each individual product.
Being in my mid-40s, anti-ageing is a huge concern for me, and I am definitely noticing finer lines creeping in, skin starting to sag a little here and there, and pigmentation getting gradually worse too. With combination skin, I have also struggled with breakouts, something that I always thought would improve with age, but so far unfortunately hasn't and in fact, due to a particularly stressful period of my life, recently made my skin go completely crazy. So these products really perfectly suited to my skin. Often anti-ageing products are so rich that my skin quickly feels congested, or anti-blemish products so drying that they are not exactly good for my ageing skin! So it is a refreshing change that these products target all of these concerns!
So I've been using the Super B Complex daily morning and night, the Super A+ Serum every second night, and on alternate nights the Radiance Serum. And I am pleased to say that it didn't take long, in fact already the first morning I could see an improvement in the look and feel of my skin, with results that is improving with each use. With combination skin I have never struggled with dry skin, but my skin is clearly more thoroughly hydrated and it shows as it is more plumb. Fine lines, especially on my forehead and between my brows are also getting significantly smaller in size.
My skin looks so much more even in skin tone, darker patches of pigmentation, as well as redness and marks from past (recent) acne breakouts, have significantly faded too, and consequently my skin also has nice radiance to it, to the point that I have had days of popping out WITHOUT wearing an otherwise all important tinted moisturiser or BB cream, something that I otherwise very rarely would do.
I also like that my skin seems far less greasy, whilst still not being dried out, clearly as excess sebum production has been controlled, and therefore I have also had near as many breakouts as I have had recently, and those I have had, have cleared up in no time.
Overall, I have to say that I am impressed with these asap products. As the name, my skin has improved almost 'asap' as I started using the products, and the results are noteworthy, both in regards to reducing lines, improving pigmentation, reducing breakouts, and giving my skin dull skin much needed glow and radiance, all without irritating my skin!
So if you too are concerned with any of these issues, then I highly recommend that you try these products.
The asap product range is huge, and also contains moisturisers, cleansers and mineral makeup, and I certainly wouldn't mind adding a few more to this skincare regimen..
