PRODUCT REVIEW: CURTIS COLLECTION BY VICTORIA

I always get excited when I come across new brands, so when I was asked to trial some products from Curtis Collection by Victoria* I happily accepted, here are my thoughts;

What They Say:

Mineral Shimmer Blush: Get glowing with this luxurious, silky, powder blush. What I Say:

Having never before tried any of the Curtis Collection By Victoria products, I thought I’d look a little into the brand, and was pleasantly surprised when I realised that it is an Australian owned brand, offering a range of mineral makeup products using the highest grade minerals, and designed to treat the skin with the most powerful natural ingredients, while providing the highest quality and the most cutting edge formulas. Sounds pretty good to me!

As a stay at home mum, I have many days where I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I always do my eyes. I simply feel that I look tired and washed out if I don’t. And one of my must have products is a liquid eyeliner. This Luxe Liner has a long felt tip that makes it easy to draw a super fine and controlled line above your eyes.

It has a very fine tip so you can draw the thinnest of lines, or you can either retrace the line or use the side of the applicator to achieve a more bold and dramatic look. Regardless one sweep is more than sufficient for a solid line. The eye liner stays put all day without budging, sliding or fading, even on my sensitive eyes that easily water, yet it is easy to remove at night with makeup remover. 

 

Years ago, when thin eyebrows were in, mine were plucked, and plucked and plucked, with the result that it today is difficult to grow them out to the thickness and fullness that I want. So again, I rely on a good brow product to help. The Brow Stain Brow Definer has a super fine tip and it allows a precise application, and make ultra fine lines to both define and fill in even the tiniest gaps in your brows, while leaving you with a look that is so natural you wouldn’t even know that you ‘cheated’ and used a brow pen. It is very long lasting, again staying put all day without sliding or fading.

In saying that I always do my eyes, I am also pretty reliant on a good blush. With a teething toddler, it is rare these days that I get a good night’s sleep, and consequently my face often looks a little tired – and that’s where a good blush is vital in adding both colour and glow to you face, making it look like you’ve just had a good beauty sleep.

 

The Mineral Shimmer Blush is powder blush is enriched with antioxidants A, C & E to care for your skin while you wear it, while it is also free from oil, talc, dyes and fragrances. The shade Airess is a beautiful peachy-pink shade, and it has a beautiful silky finish and a small amount of shimmer which will give you a nice and subtle radiant glow.

The shade is simply perfect for an everyday wear. The blush is easy to blend. And again another longwearing product that stays put, as in the end of the day, the blush still looks freshly applied. I can already tell that this blush is going to be a favourite!


The products are super stylish in their in their matte black packaging, which I really love. I also love the small and compact design of the blush, which makes it easy to pop into your cosmetic bag for applications on the go.


So there you go, some amazing products from Curtis Collection by Victoria. I am so pleased to have been introduced to this local brand as their products are nothing short of incredible with their high quality. They are so easy to apply and such a pleasure to work with. So if you haven’t already, I highly recommend that you check out the large product range. As for me, I’ve got my eyes on some of the Mineral Lip Mousse, the foundation, and the Eyeshadow quads which all look out of this world too….
