There are 8 different scents, which include everything from woody, citrus, floral and oriental, with the names;
- Heavenly Gingerlily
- Bushukan
- Orange & Bergamot
- Ylang-Ylang
- Re-charge Black Pepper
- Fiery Pink Pepper
- Blossoming Honeysuckle and White Tea
- Mesmerising Oudh Accord and Gold
I tried the scent called Bushukan which is made with a combination of black and pink pepper in the top note. Also added are petitgrain, lemon, cardamom and rosemary. The scent has been made in collaboration with Nathalie Koobus, Perfumer at Fragrances Essentielles.
This scent manages to be both spicy and fresh at the same time, something you rarely come across, but it is beautiful combination, something that will still work during the warmer months, where I would otherwise just prefer a lighter scent.
The fragrance lasts fairly well on the skin also considering it is ‘just’ an eau de toilette, so while it does fade during the day, I can still detect it at night.
The scents come in classic round bottles with silver lids, and gorgeous colourful boxes. They retail for $89 each for 50ml and are available from David Jones.
As for me, I’ve l ready got my eyes on the Orange & Bergamot, Fiery Pink Pepper and Blossoming Honeysuckle and White Tea….How amazing would they all look lined up on the bathroom shelf..
