Industry News: essence launches trend edition “me & my ice cream”

I think most of us have fallen for the products from the brand essence, which continuously brings out special trend editions of products of high quality at amazingly low prices. And now essence has done it again, launching the trend edition "me & my ice cream" consisting of thirteen amazingly cute looking products, right in time for spring and summer..

I am particularly loving the Shimmer Pearls, don’t they look gorgeous, and such a cute retro packaging too! And the Cream Blush sounds pretty amazing too.. Oh, and how cute are those pastel nail polishes..

Product News: OPI’s Glimmer of Hope for Breast Cancer 2013

As most are probably aware, October is always Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and consequently a number of products are always released where some, if not all of the profits are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This year OPI is supporting breast cancer research with a new limited edition Pink of Hearts 2013 dual pink nail art pack complete with pink ribbon stick-on decals and crystals. 100% of profits will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

 

 

The OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 contains limited-edition 'More than a Glimmer' and OPI’s classic soft pink 'Pink-ing of You', complete with 10 pink ribbon stick-on decals and sparkling crystals.   Each bottle of nail lacquer has a special pink-ribbon cap wrap in support of breast cancer awareness. 

'More than a Glimmer' is a unique blend of silver, pink, and teal glitter set in a clear matte base. The result resembles brushed chrome subtly reflecting surrounding colours for a look that commands attention in an understated way.  For optimal matte, brushed chrome finish do not apply top coat.

I always stock support Breast Cancer, and always make sure to stock up on 'Pink' products in the lead up to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as I absolutely love OPI nail polishes (and how gorgeous are these shades?), that this OPI nail art pack is already on my shopping list..

Product News: Essie Launches Sleek Stick Nail Stickers

I absolutely love Essie Nail Polishes; they have the most amazing colour range, and the finish and staying power is fantastic. And very important to me, unlike other nail polishes, they are DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free.

It has taken the nail polish brand some time getting on the nail sticker trend, but finally Essie is launching their own range – which for someone like me, who has ten thumbs when it comes to applying nail polish and doing nail art, is just fantastic news.

Essie’s new ‘Sleek Stick' nail wraps come in 12 classy designs.

Unlike other nail stickers which often have very loud patterns, Essies designs are softer and more simple with pastel colors and simple embellishments, supposedly inspired by textures spotted "on the catwalks of New York and Milan."

Top row, left to right; don't cheetah on me, oh my gold!, steel the show, croc 'n chic, love to love you, and so haute!

Second row, left to right; a to zebra, glam it on, sneek-e, embrace the lace, over the moon, and stickers stones.


For those of you who are new to nail stickers, it is very simple. You find a size that fits your nail, stick it on and file the excess off until the sticker matches the length of your nail. That’s it. All done. How easy is that. And if you are careful, they will last you for two weeks. (Good excuse to make hubby do the dishes!!)

The Essie Sleek Stick Nail Wraps include a nail file and cuticle stick.

As always, they are not yet available in Australia, but in the US they retail for US$10.25. I believe that this is a few dollars more than the nail stickers from i.e. Sally Hansen, so when the Essie stickers become available here in Australia in the end of January 2013, I guess we can also expect them to cost a little more than the AUD$14.95 the Sally Hansen stickers retails for here.
