PRODUCT REVIEW // SKINSTITUT EXPERT REFINE AHA GLYCOLIC TONER AND 10% NIACINAMIDE POWER SERUM - POTENT AND EFFECTIVE SKINCARE THAT WONT BREAK THE BANK

I’ve tried a lot - and I mean a lot of skincare over the years,
💜 The Glycolic Cleanser and Glycolic Scrub from Skinstitut @skinstitut remain some of my loved and re-purchased products ever. I’ve lost count how many tubes I’ve used over the years, so been excited to try a few more products that are both new to me;

🤍 Skinstitut 10% Niacinamide Power Serum - also has Probiotic Complex, Cucumber Seed Oil and Aloe Vera to hydrate, protect, reduce appearance of pores, wrinkles and pigmentation, improve skin tone and texture and regulate oil production, while hydrating, soothing, balancing microbiome and strengthening skin's barrier function. 

▪️It can be used AM and PM, but I mainly use AM, and enjoy how the light serum absorbs beautifully, and is gentle on my breakout prone skin. Since using, I’ve found my skin to be less greasy, - and thus my makeup staying put looking nicer for longer - and having less and not as angry breakouts. In my routine to stay!

💜 Skinstitut Expert Refine AHA Glycolic Toner - this toner has 5% Glycolic Acid along with Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Witch Hazel to chemically exfoliate the skin, gently removing surface dryness, dead skin cells, and congestion, stimulate cell renewal while fading pigmentation, and balancing the skin, for a skin that is softer, smoother and more glowing. 

▪️I use it AM and PM after cleansing, and it love how it instantly leaves my skin looking refreshed and so radiant - and all without drying out my skin. I’m convinced the regular use helps my clearer too. Another new favourite!!

PRODUCT REVIEW: PERKII PROBIOTICS

Since I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis well over a decade ago, I have, needless to say often had issues with my digestive system - although I here have to say that I am very fortunate and my illness is well managed and currently under control. That said, I am mindful of what I eat and drink, and certain things does make me very uncomfortable. SO when I was asked to put some new Probiotic drinks from PERKii to the test, I happily accepted.

There are a lot of different probiotic products on the market, but PERKii is a little different. They make refreshing water-based drink with a delicious splash of natural flavour, and just one 300ml bottle of PERKii delivers a massive one billion live probiotics. These probiotics come encapsulated in microgels, which are tiny natural beads that help the probiotics survive as they pass through the acidic stomach environment and through to the lower digestive system, where the probiotics actually do their work and they are ingested.

Drinking just a bottle here and there is obviously not quite enough for you to feel any major difference to your health, but if you're in a period where you're feeling a little unwell, or perhaps taking a course of antibiotics, which is said to be particularly tough on the tummy, then these flavoured waters are certainly a great option. Or of course if you are just after a healthy alternative to a refreshing drink when you're on the go.

I love that they are made using 85% water and made wit natural flavours, including;

• Strawberry & Watermelon
• Passionfruit & Mango
• Elderflower & Green Tea
• Lime & Coconut
• Raspberry & Pomegranate

All these flavours are really lovely, although my favourites are the Passionfruit & Mango and the Raspberry & Pomegranate, and I also love the fact that they contain just half a teaspoon of sugar that comes from apples and that in total there is just 26 calories in a bottle, so you can actually enjoy this refreshing drink with a clear conscience.
