I have just had my hair coloured for the
first time in months, I was so overdue for it, mainly because while I like it
when my hair is newly done, I simply hate sitting at the hair dressers, and as
I have long thick hair it takes hours – too many hours for me to bring my
little boy along, so those appointments have to be done on Saturdays when my
husband is home from work, and I can go out on my own. And lately we’ve just
been so busy that it has been impossible to get done. But a few weeks ago I
finally got there, and now I of course want to ensure that I maintain the
colour for as long as possible, so I happily accepted when I was asked to Trial
the Klorane Shampoo and Conditioner with Pomegranate for colour treated hair*.
Here are my thoughts;
What They Say:
Klorane Colour Enhancing Treatment Shampoo with Pomegranate Extract repairs and
nourishes coloured or damaged hair. It protects against progressive colour discharge and loss of radiance.
Hair colour retains its intensity and shine. Its cleansing base is enriched
with regenerative agents so that hair remains soft, silky and easy to style. It
is hypoallergenic. It is formulated to minimize the risk of allergic reactions.
Klorane Colour Enhancing Conditioning Balm
with Pomegranate Extract repairs and regenerates the hair fibre deep down to leave hair soft and
supple. Protected from deterioration, hair colour remains as intense and glossy
as the first day. The colour fixing properties of this
balm are re-inforced by a lipo-repairing complex which nourishes colour-damaged
hair. It is
hypoallergenic, formulated to minimize the risk of allergic reactions.

What I Say:
The first thing I noticed about these
products from Klorane were the beautiful pink shaded products, so feminine and
girlie. And the second thing I noticed was how amazingly fresh and fruity the
products smells thanks to the botanical ingredients! Absolutely amazing.
The shampoo is very concentrated and it
only takes a little, and it foams up easily and gently cleanses my hair, and
although I only wash it every second to third day, just one wash is all that is
required for my hair to feel super clean, yet without being dried out. Rather
my hair feels hydrated even before I use the conditioner.
The conditioner is thick and creamy, and as
it needs to be left in the hair for 5-10 minutes I do feel it should be called
a treatment instead. You can feel it absorb into the hair, leaving behind all
its goodness, and come time to rinse it out, it is quick and easy with no
greasiness or residue left behind. My hair is left easy to comb, and after I’ve
left it to dry naturally, as I mostly do, it is incredibly soft, super shiny
and looking very healthy. And I love that that gorgeous scent of pomegranate
continues to linger softly in my hair too.
Klorane promises that these products will
make colour last on average twice as long, as the products contain a patented
pomegranate extract that is rich in tannins, which binds the colour onto the
keratin of the hair, preventing it from fading, while the high concentration of
anti-oxidants help maintain the hair’s radiance.
And I have to say that I have not noticed
that the colour of my hair has faded or gone dull in the period that I’ve used
the products. I guess it is one of those things that is difficult to measure as
it usually doesn’t happen overnight (or should I say from wash to wash), but
rather it gradually happens and then suddenly one day you suddenly feel you
desperately need a touch-up!
However, even so I really enjoy using these
products, and while I do not suffer from sensitive scalp or skin, I still love
that the products are designed to suit even the most sensitive of skin types
too. And I also love that the products makes my hair feel so wonderfully soft
and looking so shiny and healthy.
And add to that that the products smell totally
amazing, come in super cute bottles and at a very reasonable price too. These
are the first hair products I’ve ever tried from Klorane, and let me tell you,
it won’t be the last!
