PRODUCT REVIEW: BELLA BOX JANUARY 2018

Can you believe it, we are already a full month into the new year. How time is flying. But it also means the arrival of the January Bella Box... Let's have a look at what's inside the box...

Karen Murrell Lipstick - Full Size - RRP: $30 / 4g
I am already a huge fan of Karen Murrell, and absolutely love these all natural lipsticks that are loaded with nourishing ingredients and so lovely to wear. I was lucky to get one of my fave shades, Rymba Rhythm, which is a gorgeous red shade that I just love to bits.

Blaq Meteor Shower Scrub - 50g - RRP: $24.95 / 200g I have heard a lot about this body scrub that contains activated charcoal to detoxify the skin, as well as meteor dust to leave the skin iridescent, so I cannot wait to put it to the test. It sounds amazing.

Swisse Blood Orange Brightening Facial Serum - 4ml - RRP: $29.99 / 30ml I haven't sadly tried many products from Swisse, so look forward to trying out this serum which contains among others Sicilian blood orange, olive leaf and licorice root extract along with vitamin B3 and jojoba oil, and promises to brighten the skin and give it a luminous appearance. Sounds pretty good to me.

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Natural Activated Charcoal Sheet Mask - Full Size - RRP: $4.95 / 1 mask, 30g This mask contains activated charcoal to give the skin a deep clean and minimise the pores along with hyaluronic acid to leave the skin bright, fresh and glowing. Sounds just what my blemish prone, dull skin needs. Bring on pamper night.

1000 Hour Instant Brows - Full Size - RRP: $9.99 / 1.4g This is a brush-on tinted mascara eye brow mascara that helps quickly and easily create a fuller brow with just a few strokes, while looking very natural. This is my preferred type of brow product as it is simply so easy to use, so I cannot wait to put this one to the test.

Bonus products - Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Moisturiser with Rose & Macadamia Oil, 2 x 12ml These are great bonuses, and between the two sachets there is hopefully sufficient cream for the full body. They promise to deeply hydrate the skin while repairing it ad leaving it lightly fragranced. I am yet to try them, but can only imagine that they will have the most gorgeous rose scent so I can't wait to put them to the test.


So there you go, the first Bella Box of 2018, and I have to say that I am very impressed. The Karen Murrell lipstick alone, and I was happy. But add up all the other items, and it makes for one incredible box, also as I will actually look forward to using every single product in the box. PRODUCT REVIEW: KAREN MURRELL LIP PALETTE

I am sure you recall me raving about the Karen Murrell lip products - first the incredible lipsticks, which you can read all about here, and not very long ago some beautiful matching lip liners were launched, which you can read more about here. But I am not the only one who is in love, as a Karen Murrell lipstick is now sold every ten seconds globally, which says it all. They are nothing but incredible. And hence the new Lip Palette is added to the range. 

Like the lipsticks and lip liners, what's so incredible about these lipsticks - besides the beautiful colour range - is that they are natural and made without any of the chemical nasties or toxins. In fact, the lip palette is made from the same nourishing ingredients as the lipsticks, which include natural ingredients such as among others evening primrose oil to soothe and moisturise, avocado oil to nourish and hydrate, cinnamon oil to plump the lips, along with carnuba wax to make sure that the palette wont melt in the warmest of climates.

Like the rest of the lip range, the colours are made with naturally derived pigments enhanced with naturally derived titanium dioxide and iron oxides.

The Karen Murrell Palette itself is just beautiful. It comes in the most divine packaging featuring a beautiful painted floral 'sleeve' and the actual palette is just as stunning. The black slimline palette has a stunning floral design and the Karen Murrrell logo printed in gold on the top of the palette, along with gold edges, which makes it look so incredible luxurious. Inside you'll find a full sized mirror, and a double ended brush applicator to make application on the go super easy.

And then there's the colours - the Lip Palette contains five of the best selling shades including:

• Scarlet Blaze - a purple tinged red wine shade 
• True Love - a classic red 
• Coral Dawn - a bright coral-red shade 
• Poppy Passion - a bright pink 
• Carnation Mist - a pink toned mauve 

Like the lipsticks, these are lipsticks are beautifully soft and smooth, and feel so lovely and comfortable of the lips. The lip brush makes them easy to apply, and perhaps do make them last a little longer on the lips, I am not sure, but I generally get about 4+ hours wear, though a little longer with the darkest shades such as Scarlet Blaze and True Love. 

The range of colours in this pack is incredible, and it gives you a shade for every occasion and mood, which each one so beautiful, that it is near impossible to pick favourites, as I know I'll be using every single one of them - but if I must, I do currently really love a good bold lip, so needless to say that I've been reaching lot for Scarlet Blaze, True Love and Coral Dawn.

PRODUCT REVIEW: KAREN MURRELL STARTER POUT PACK - NATURAL LIPSTICKS

Today I'm going to talk about some incredible lipsticks from Karen Murrell. You may recall that I've recently talked about some of her other products including the gorgeous Valentines Gift Set, or the beautiful Lip Liners which were launched not so long ago, but today its all about the Karen Murrell Starter Pout Pack. 

The Starter Pout Pack comes with a moisture stick, as well as selection of five of the best selling shades; 

• Moisture Stick - a clear balm that will condition your lips and keep them soft and smooth and ready for lipstick 
• Violet Mousse - this is a blushed brownish nude shade, that suits most skin tones, and perfect for a barely there lip 
• Coral Dawn - a bright coral-red shade 
• Magenta Moon - a darker cerise pink shade with a purple undertone 
• Rymba Rhythm - a classic bright bold red 
• Camellia Morning - a lighter cerise pink that's sure to add a pop of colour on your face 

The range of colours in this pack is incredible, and it gives you a shade for every occasion and mood, which each one so beautiful, that it is near impossible to pick favourites - but if I must, I do currently really love a good bold lip, so needless to say that I've been reaching lot for Rymba Rhythm, Coral Dawn and Magenta Moon.

But what's so good about these lipsticks, regardless of the colour, is that they are so beautiful soft, smooth and moisturising to wear. And they are premium high quality and very pigmented, so it takes just one swipe for full colour payoff, with a lovely sheen. They also have a good wear of 3-4 hours, and a little more for the bolder shades - which personally I find is quite good.

And what makes these Karen Murrell lipsticks even better is that they are made without any of the chemical nasties, but only from natural ingredients such as evening primrose oil, avocado oil, sweet orange oil, cinnamon oil, shea butter and candelilla wax as well as naturally derived pigments enhanced with naturally derived titanium dioxide and iron oxides - and with no toxins, they keep you well on the inside, while looking beautiful on the outside. 

The lipsticks come in simple, yet stunning black tubes, with the words 'Nothing nasty touches my lips' and the initials KM on the lid, and they have a subtle, yet beautiful fresh fruity and floral scent, and you also cannot help but fall in love with the cute individual little boxes the lipsticks come in, in colours to match the actual lipsticks.

PRODUCT REVIEW: KAREN MURRELL NATURAL LIP LINERS

You may recall that I recently raved about some lipsticks from the brand Karen Murrell - but if you missed the feature, you can check it out here. The exciting news is that Karen Murrell has now launched some incredible natural Lip Liners to match the best of the brand's natural lipsticks.

In short, the Karen Murrell lipsticks are incredible. The lipsticks are made without any nasties, but using naturally derived ingredients only, including pigments enhanced with naturally derived titanium dioxide and iron oxides, with the brand philosophy that 'Nothing nasty touches my lips'.

Back onto the newly lunched lipliners - they are made from natural and nourishing ingredients including jojoba seed oil, candelilla, carnauba wax and Vitamin E, so they care for your lips and moisturise them as you use them. This means that these lipliners are also free from all nasties, and contain no coal tar, tricolsan, parabens, mineral oils or petrolium origin waxes or oils.

And they can be used either on their own, as a base or to define the lips prior to lipstick, helping to extend the wear of the lipstick and keep it in place, or they can be used on their own, all over the lips for a gorgeous matte finish, though personally I also love using them on their own too, with a slick of clear gloss on top.

The lip liners are so soft and smooth and apply and blend so easily, and they are so long wearing. I also love that they come with a nifty brush in one end to help make blending even easier.

There are five different shades of lip liners available, to match the most popular lipsticks from the range: 

• Cordovan Natural - a peachy-brown nude 
• Violet Mousse - a natural shade of peachy nude
• Coral Dawn - a brighter red-orange shade
• Camellia Morning - a dusty cerise pink 
• True Love - a signature red shade

I admit that I am not usually using a lip liner, which I really don't know why, as I love the result and look when I do, I think it mainly comes down to time restraints. That said, these lip liners have made me make an effort, both used in combination with lipstick, and certainly also on their own, which I've been really enjoying thanks to the gorgeous matte finish and the long wear.

The range of shades is gorgeous, and does cover the broad spectrum of shades, and individually each shade is very gorgeous. That said, always one for a good red lip, my favourite is naturally the shades True Love and Coral Dawn.

These lip lines really do complete and complement the incredible lipstick range, and I really recommend that you check both out, you wont be disappointed. I know I'll be reaching for both these and the lipsticks continuously from now on!
