MOTHERS DAY GIFT IDEAS - PART ONE

Mother's Day is not far away, so over the coming days I'll me sharing a selection of my gift idea suggestions, that will range from electrics, beauty and lifestyle products, so there'll truly be something for every budget and taste. Here's the first part..

Product Review: Mary Kay Peach Satin Hands

I have always tried to look after my hands, applying hand cream countless times throughout the day. So much so that I have hand creams anywhere imaginable, from my car, various handbags, next to my computer, on my bedside table, on the coffee table, and of course, in various handbags that I use. So when Mary Kay asked me to trial their Hand Pampering Set, I happily accepted, so here are my thoughts on the *Mary Kay Peach Satin Hands;

What I Say:

My hands go through a lot every day. Having two large dogs, and a baby, I naturally wash my hands a lot. And add to that the countless nappy changes on my little boy throughout the day, followed by washing hands! No wonder my hands are often feeling a little dry.

The Mary Kay Satin Hands Hands Pampering Set is a three step system that promises to help keep hands feeling renewed, soothed and pampered.

The Hand Softener is to be applied to clean dry skin or for extra hydration it can be added to skin that has been dampened with water prior to application. And as soon as you’ve applied it, you can feel the ands feel exceptionally smooth and moisturised, even areas that are very dry, are instantly feeling so deeply hydrated.

I have actually never tried an actual hand scrub before. Not saying that I’ve never scrubbed my hands before, as I do it from time to time with any leftover facial scrub I may have on my hands after exfoliating my face, but that is about it.

 

 

The Peach Satin Hands Smoothing Hand Scrub promises to cleanse and exfoliate the hands in one step leaving the hands feeling smooth and soft. And my, is this stuff amazing. The hand scrub contains seed powder from peach and apricots to help gently buff away dead surface cells. Mary Kay suggest using 1-2 pumps, but just one small pump applied to damp hand is more than sufficient. It is easy to massage into the hands, and once the scrub has been rinsed off, your hands are left incredibly soft and smooth, in fact, I don’t remember them every being so smooth. Even my dry cuticles have enjoyed the scrub, and now clearly looking a lot healthier too. I seriously cannot believe how soft my hands are, and that is even before using a hand cream!

Regardless, I finish the treatment with the Peach Satin Hands Hand Cream, which among others contains sesame seed oil. And this cream absorbs into my newly scrubbed hands instantly – and tough I didn’t find it possible, my hand are left even softer. Gone is the feeling of ‘workers’ hands, from doing dishes and garden work (and not to mention the hard work of moving house and packing up boxes!). My hands simply feels and looks so much nicer and healthier than I ever remember them doing before.

As the names suggest, all the products have the most amazing summery scent of peach, it is just divine, and I love that the products are fragrance free, so this scent comes from the natural ingredients used in the products.

The Hand Cream and the Hand Softener both come in up-side-down tubes, while the hand scrub comes in an easy to use pump bottle, which I really like. And while the tubes are also easy to use, it would have made the whole ‘kit’ so much easier to use, if all products had come in pump bottles.

 

 

What I Like:

• The products are very concentrated, so will last you a long time
• Creams absorb instantly into the hands, leaving them so soft, and without a greasy residue
• The scrub leaves my hands feeling softer and healthier looking than they ever have before
• Products smell amazing fresh from the added peach extract, and do not contain added fragrance

What I Don’t like:

• I really haven’t got any negatives to say about these products, but if I had to be picky, it would be that the hand cream doesn’t contain any SPF, which would be a welcome addition

Overall, this is such a lovely pampering set for your hands. Having never before tried a hand scrub, it has really opened my eyes to the difference it makes to the look and feel of your hands, giving them such a pampering session a few times a week. It only takes a minute or two, and is well worth the effort. And all the products smell absolutely divine, making them such a joy to use. So if you are looking to pamper your hardworking hands, I highly recommend that you try this Peach Satin Hands Hands Pampering Set, I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!
