Today I’d like to share with you my thoughts on the *June edition of the Notox Box;

The box contains 5- 8 products including in a mix of full sized, travel and sample size products
All products are natural, organic, ecofriendly or ethical, organic food, health food or super-foods, natural and organic skincare and beauty products, wellness, eco home or healthy lifestyle products.

RRP: $25 per box – Available from Notox Box

What I Say:
I really like the idea of exploring healthier option within both beauty, food, health and home, so I really like the concept of the Notox box where I get introduced to so many new healthier options. If you haven’t seen my review of the May Notox Box, you can see it here.

This month’s box arrived in a bright green postage box with a lot of ‘feel good’ little sentences on the lid, such as ‘Love what you do’, Stay healthy & happy’. ‘Dream big’, and ‘Define your own success’, and as always it was full to the rim, and quite heavy too, and these are the goodies I found inside;

Slendier Konjac Lasagne Sheets – Full Size

We eat lasagne all the time. At least once a week, and especially now that our little boy is starting to eat ‘normal’ food, as lasagne is one of his favourites, and it saves me having to cook a meal for us and another one for him. These lasagne sheets are made from konjac root, which is high in fibre and low in fat, as well they have reduced carbs, are low calorie and gluten free. I have never tried konjac before, and I am not quite sure about these. They are a completely different texture to normal pasta sheets, as they are kind of like a large noodle. I love my traditional Italian lasagne with pasta lasagne sheets, but still being quite adventurous with what I eat, I will certainly give them a go. I am not particularly trying to lose weight, but on the other hand, eating less calories, could mean having a few spare ones for some more fun things (=chocolate ;-)

Brookfarm Toasted Macadamia Muesli – Sample 75g

I love muesli, and if I don’t eat muesli for breakfast I eat porridge, or plain old oats that where I add raisins and fresh fruits to myself. And if I have sweets cravings in the afternoons, and I have a good muesli in the pantry I often snack on it. This muesli contains no preservatives, and is using sun ripened macadamia nuts, grains, bran, currants and sultanas and cranberries all roasted in Australian bush honey. Yum. I cannot wait to taste this.

Vital Organic Vanilla Rooibos Tea – Full Size/10 tea bags

I have to be honest and admit that I prefer coffee to tea, but I only drink it in the morning in trying to cut down a little. But in winter when it is cold, I do tend to have a cup of tea in the afternoon, although I generally tend to drink peppermint tea or a lemon tea, this will be a nice change, and I like that is naturally caffeine free, and is high in antioxidants and great for headaches, so I wish I’d had this last week when I had a major headache. I have never heard of Vital tea before so it will also be nice to try out this brand.

Herbal Fresh Hands Hand Santiser – Sample size, 50ml

The only time I use a hand sanitiser is when I’ve had to change my little boys nappy and there is no soap and water nearby, such as when you have to do an emergency stop by the side of the road and make a quick nappy change, then a sanitiser definitely comes in hand. And I like that this one is all natural and not full of chemicals. It uses alcohol to disinfect and apart from that only contains purified water, gelling agent and olive leaf extract, which is also a nice change from the usual products with a long list of ingredients you usually cannot pronounce let alone know what is. only has 4 ingredients, none of which are hard to pronounce. So this one is going into my nappy bag as soon as I’ve used up the current one.

Absolute Organic Chocolate with Quinoa Flakes – Full size, 100g

This chocolate bar was on top when I opened the box, and really made my day. I prefer dark bitter chocolate, so this organic 70% cocoa chocolate bar, is right up my alley. I’ve never tasted chocolate with quinoa before, and doubt that I would have bought this myself, but it is actually surprisingly nice with the crunch, so a pleasant surprise. And I love too that this bar doesn’t have any nasties included – but unfortunately I guess I’d better share it with my husband.

Chic Nuts Roasted Chickpeas – snack size, 25g

I am not sure I would have bought this myself, but these are really nice. They are made of whole roasted chickpeas seasoned with sea salt and garlic, and as they are high in protein they are a healthy snack when you’re a little peckish. So nice with a healthy alternative, and a refreshing change from the nuts I usually snack on, so will definitely purchase these again in the future.

So there you go, the contents on this month’s Notox box.

And yet again the box has managed to introduce me to some new brands and healthy food options, which being a little conservative with the food I buy at the supermarket I might never have even seen, so I look forward to testing out every single one of them (ups, the chickpeas kinda disappeared as I was writing this..

What I Say:
The Native Box is committed to connecting its members with Australian businesses that provide exceptional organic and sustainable products, as they believe that each dollar spent on such products cast for a better world – and believe that they can help shift the balance towards a better Australia and safer planet. The Native Box has several different boxes available including the Mum & Bub (check out my review of the Winter 2014 Mum & Bub Box), the Beauty Box (Check out my review of Winter Beauty Box), a Vegan Box, A Men’s Box, and of course the Classic Box, which I review the June edition here;

These are the goodies that were included in the box;

Bondi Chai – 2 x Sachets

I got one of the Club Cinnamon, and one of the Vanilla Honey varieties. I already know the Cinnamon one, and have a box, in the pantry – well rather, one stick left in the box, and as I really like these, and they are a perfect fix for the 3 o’clock slump and tiredness I usually experience,  and as they are 98% fat free, I don’t have to feel guilty either - so I have already added them to my shopping list. They are the closest I’ve come to a Chai in a café, and obviously at a much lower cost per cup too! I haven’t tried the Vanilla Honey option, and would probably not have purchased it before tasting it, as generally I am not too fond of honey as I often find it too sweet – so I look forward to trying out the sample, and you just never know if I like it better than the original.
Available from Coles and Woolworths

Sweet William Sweet As Dark Chocolate with Orange – Full Size, 100g

YUM – my favourite chocolate combination. Dark chocolate and orange together. And this block contains 75% sugar than normal chocolate as it has been sweetened with stevia, so you don’t have to feel so guilty when you indulge. Sadly my husband also loves Choc Orange, so I doubt I’ll be able to enjoy this on my own.
Available from Sweet William

Olivella Face & Body Bar – Full Size, 100g

Unfortunately I am not the biggest lover of soap bars as I simply find they quickly become very messy, so I much prefer liquid soap. In saying that, this soap bar is made using 100% virgin olive oil, and does not contain any parabens, dyes or animal fats, and it sis so gentle that you can use it every day, - and on your face too, which proves how gentle it is. So I may just have to give it a go.
Available from Olivella

Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner – Sample Sachets, 10ml each

This shampoo and conditioner is intended for dry hair and uses the natural power of oats to nourish the hair, so perfect for my long hair and dry ends. I love that it is certified organic and uses natural organic ingredients. I have previously tried some of their baby products on my little boy, and really liked them, so I look forward to testing this shampoo and conditioner as well.
Available from Weleda

Probiotic Solutions Cuffs & Collars Fabric Spray – Sample Size, 50ml

This fabric spray contains a blend of probiotic bacteria which is to help clean dirty collars, stinky arms and greasy shorts – and I am thinking dirty bibs as well. I love that it is made using natural ingredients, so I look forward to testing out how tough it is on stains!

Available from Probiotic Solutions

Buckley & Phillips Gumleaf Essentials Relaxing Hand & Body Lotion – Sample Sachet, 5ml

I have never heard of this brand before, but I love knowing that it is made using 100% pure and natural ingredients with added aromatherapy benefits as it is scented with essential oils, so I cannot wait to try this cream out.
Available from Buckley & Phillips

Brookfarm Power Porrij – Sample Sachet

I was very intrigued by this product, which claims to be more than just oats, especially seeing my preferred breakfast is oats or porridge during winter. But this Porrij is supposedly a gourmet porridge made using organic super-grains rich in proteins including amaranth and quinoa and golden flaxseed, so I really look forward to testing this one out as I am always up for a more healthy alternative.
Available from Brookfarm

Natralus Sample Sachets x 3; Natural Paw Paw Ointment, Paw Paw Pure Gel and Aloe Vera Gel, 2g each

I love Paw Paw on my lips during winter when they are extra dry, and also on any cuts on my hands, which in turn seems to heal quicker. I have never tried Natralus before so I do look forward to seeing how these products perform.

I also usually have a bottle of aloe vera in the house, but mainly use it during summer when (usually) hubby has had too much sun while playing sports, but still, this little sample sachet will be handy to have at hand for soothing skin.
Available from Natralus

So there you have it, this was the contents in the June Classic Native Box.

I think that the box contains a great selection and variety of products, all of which I am very happy with and will look forward to using. I particularly love the inclusion of the Dark Chocolate (who wouldn’t!), but also the Chai’s and the Porrij – it is great to be introduced to new food varieties, that are healthier. I also love the Fabric Cleaner, and really hope it does perform on tough stains, and the large Olivella Soap bar is lovely addition as well. Finally, all the sample sachets of cream and hair products – six in total, are also fantastic, and it is a lovely way of getting to try out new products before spending up big on full sized products you may not like. So overall, I am very happy with this month’s contents!
