PRODUCT REVIEW: SCRABBLE 70TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Who doesn't love a good and family game, and one that has truly stood the test of time is Scrabble. Can you believe, Scrabble is not celebrating its 70th anniversary. And to celebrate, a new limited edition sleek edition.

The anniversary edition has a stunning black game board, black tiles with gold foil-foil-printed letters, and gold-embossed packaging. It is simply stunning.

But did you know that;

  • Scrabble was invented in 1938 by Alfred Mother Butts, who trademarked the name Scrabble in 1948
  • Legend says it got its big break in early 1950s when the President of Macy’s played it on vacation, and subsequently ordered some for his store, and within a year it was a hit
  • 8 games of scrabble are started somewhere around the world every second
  • There are over 4000 scrabble clubs around the world
  • Scrabble is the most popular board game in history

So no wonder it has been so popular the past 70 years. It is simply such a great family game that can be enjoyed by all generations. And all while it also helps improve and strengthen the English language, intellectual capacity and social skills!

And this limited edition version is no doubt the most stunning one I’ve seen and it would make for a fantastic Christmas gift idea too. But remember it’s limited edition, so if you want one, you best hurry!
