SALLY HANSEN HARD AS NAILS EXTREME WEAR NAIL COLOR // PRODUCT REVIEW

With two little kids, I don’t get a lot of time to myself these days, and one of the areas I admit to often neglecting, is doing my nails. That said, I do love wearing a nail polish, so they sound of a nail polish called Hard As Nails Extreme Wear Nail Color sounds right up my alley. I mean, longer-wearing nail polish, would mean manicured nail for longer. And thats’s what Sally Hansen’s range promises. Bright colours, with smooth even finish and, and made with microfine bioactive glass along with proteins that bonds to the nails for shatterproof, shiny hard colour, while calcium rich mineral helps that resists chipping, peeling and breaking, and all lasting up to 7 days. Sounds pretty good to me.

The polishes are a little thicker than most other nail polishes, and consequently also take a little longer to dry properly, which you really have to be aware off between the two required coats, as otherwise you’ll quickly end up smearing it. Trust me, I’m pretty impatient when it comes to waiting for nail polish to dry, so that’s just want I did, and so I had to start all over! But if you take your time and let the polish dry properly between the coats, then it really is worth it.

I’ve put a selection of beautiful shades to the test, including;

174 – Camel-Ot - a beige-nude shade with subtle shimmer
194 – On Cloud Shine - a pale pink with holographic shimmer
196 – Day Cream - a classic very pale pink, perfect for a French manicure
302 – Red-Ical Rockstar - a classic, bright red shade
581 – Drop The Beat - a pinky-purple fuchsia berry shade
614 – Rock My Way - a dusty chocolate brown shade

These shades are all so beautiful, but if I had to pick favourites, I feel you can never go past classics such as the Day Cream, or the Red-Ical Rockstar. That said, I am also loving the Drop the Beat and the Rock My Way, and both shades will be perfect as we head towards autumn and winter too.

The polishes leave she nails looking so shiny, and clearly feeling harder - which is actually also great if your nails are prone to chipping or breaking. As for the wear, I didn’t quite get 7 days wear, but I also wash my hands so much throughout the day thanks to a little boy in nappies. But even so, I did manage to get 5+ days from the polish, which I find quite reasonable, plus I really love how the polishes strengthen my nails at the same time. They are also very well priced.
