ESTEE LAUDER PURE COLOR ENVY PAINT ON LIQUID LIP COLOR // PRODUCT REVIEW

One on my fave brands is, and always have been is Estee Lauder - they simply have so many products that are amazing. As a beauty blogger, I naturally have more beauty products than most and I am fortunate to be able to try out a lot of new products, yet there are countless products from

Estée Lauder that I continue to repurchase again and again, such as for instance their Advanced Night Repair serum and eye serum, Double Wear Foundation and concealer, and not to mention their mascaras, just to mention a few.. So when new products are launched, I always get that little bit more excited..

And now Estee Lauder has just launched the Pure Color Envy Paint On Liquid Lip Color, which is a collection of ultra-saturated liquefied lip color in three bold finishes, Matte, Metallic and Vinyl, in 20 intense shades, 10 of which are matte, and 5 metallic and 5 vinyl.

These Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor are so comfortable on the lips, some of the most comfortable lip products I’ve seriously tried in a very long time, thanks to containing a Time Release Encapsulated moisture concept with Hyaluronic Acid, along with nourishing oils including Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil and Sunflower Oil, all of which cares for the lips as you wear them. Again, they are so super pigmented, that a single swipe is sufficient for a fully saturated lip.

According to Estee Lauder the three formulas are;

  • Matte - Paint on long-wearing drama. Make a statement in liquefied matte pigments that define style. Matte but never flat.
  • Vinyl - Paint on shine. Paint on sexy. Fits your lips like a curvy vinyl dress. Radiate confidence in a luscious wet vinyl polish.
  • Metallic - Paint on dazzle. Paint on daring. Demand attention with daring metallics that wrap lips in high-impact chromatic shine in gleaming brushed chromes in super-hot shades that last all day.
The Matte Pure Color Envy Liquid Matte Paint-On Liquid Lip Color delivers a full coverage matte finish in a weightless long-wearing liquid formula. Often matte lipsticks are very drying on the lips, but again, that is not the case with these, they are so beautiful on the lips. Estee Lauder claims they stay put and wont budge for 8 hours, though personally I get about 6+ hours wear, including while eating lunch and drinking water and coffee, which I think is still pretty amazing. Once it fades, it does so evenly and with a nice stain left behind on the lips, which you can however remove with a makeup remover for waterproof makeup. The darker shades;

I tried these shades;

  • Naked Ambition - a dusty pink nude shade
  • Bronze Leaf - a brownish nude shade
  • Pink Zinc - a mid-pink shade
  • Heart Crush - a darker reddish mauve shade

I do love a good bold lip, so needless to say that the Heart Crush shade is my fave amongst these. Second would have to be the Naked Ambition, I am not too fond of too pale shades, but the touch of pinkness in this shade makes it so gorgeous.

L-R: Naked Ambition, Bronze Leaf,
Pink Zinc, Heart Crush, Wine Shot

I have not tried any of the Vinyl shades, so I will move onto the Metallic shades, of which I tried the following shade;

  • Wine Shot - a dark red berry shade

And this shade is absolutely gorgeous, just my style. It gives you intense deep colour, with a gorgeous shine thanks to being infused with small and large particle pearls, with the metallic chrome finish reflecting light.

It feels lovely and smooth on the lips and very hydrating to. In terms of wear, it still it doesn’t quite last as long as the matte shades, however it still hangs in there for a good part of 5+ hours, again while eating and drinking, which I still thing is pretty impressive.

Overall I have to say that these Pure Color Envy Paint On Liquid Lip Color from Estee Lauder really are impressive. They feel incredibly soft and smooth and comfy on the lips, and look absolutely amazing, and the colour range is beautiful too. I did find that the darker shades bled slightly, however, using a lip liner primer (I use a clear one!), completely solved that issue.

They come in stylish square tubes, with the navy and gold lids, and I love that you can actually see the colours of the lipsticks through the clear tubes. Common for Estee Lauder lip products is that they smell absolutely amazing with their beautiful fruit scent, though the scent is a little more subtle than other Estee Lauder lipsticks that I have.

They have a little foot doe applicator that makes applying them easy, though I do feel that the intense saturated shades mean that its more ideal to apply them in front of a mirror.

They really do deliver exactly what they promise, smooth and saturated colour payoff that feels great on the lips. I am so in love with these and already have my eye on a few more shades, especially some for the bolder red shades.

If you love liquid lipsticks, you’ll seriously love these, I swear they incredible and the best I’ve tried to date!
