Product Review: Le Edge + Giveaway

I don’t know about your legs and body, but mine always gets horribly dry during summer, so when I was asked to trial a new skin exfoliation tool called *Le Edge, I of course happily accepted. And keep reading, as you too will have a chance to try a Le Edge. But first, here are my thoughts;

What They Say:

"Le Edge is a hygienic personal exfoliating tool. Le Edge is precision designed to remove with ease dead skin cells and debris from the skin's surface, revealing the newer younger cells and more radiant skin. Le Edge removes dulling surface debris such as toxins, oil, dirt, pollutants and dead skin cells. This process helps to restore the skin texture and by doing so, helps to reduce the size of the skin's pores naturally.
Gentle enough for your face, strong enough for your feet, and perfect for everything else.

While some people like to exfoliate with Le Edge on a daily basis, we recommend 2-3 times per week. If you are not sure, you might want to start by exfoliating once per week and then add more sessions if you feel the need".

RRP: $39.95 – Available from Le Edge Online, and select pharmacies and beauty salons.

What I Say:
Exfoliation is the removal of surface dry skin cells. Along with the dead skin, exfoliation removes dirt and grime to clean pores and help your skin breathe and keep your skin looking clearer, smoother, softer and healthier.

As soon as I saw the Le Edge I was intrigued – I mean, it is a hand held device with surgical steel tip designed to gently physically exfoliate skin, removing dead skin cells and build-up of excess skin – gentle enough to use on the face, yet strong enough for using on the feet. With no chemicals, and just using water, Le Edge is safe to use on dry skin or even sensitive skin, and does not disturb or irritate the skin’s natural PH balance. Sounds like one amazing tool!

It can be used both men’s and women’s skin care to remove with ease dead skin cells and debris from the skin’s surface, revealing the newer younger cells and more radiant skin. It can be used to remove your old instant tan application and to exfoliate in preparation for your new tanning session. For men, it can be used as a pre-shave to lift ingrown hairs away from the skin, to help with tie rash and other shaving conditions.

At first glance the Le Edge looks a cross between a disposable razor and squeegee, and although it contains a surgical steel tip, it is relatively blunt so you don’t cut yourself, but when held on a 45 degree angle, Le Edge gently grips and glides over the skin.

Le Edge is made from high strength flexible plastic, which is contoured to make it easy to use on all areas of your body.

Le Edge has been ergonomically designed for easy use by all hand sizes, the handle of the Le Edge exfoliator comes with a rubber grip for “non-slip” use in shower or bath. It comes in pink and blue, but apart from the colour there is no difference.

I have to admit that I was a bit caution of using it on my face, but so glad that I did. After removing my makeup Le Edge gently removed any last traces of makeup leaving my skin feeling thoroughly clean and so soft and smooth.

Used on my legs it left my legs feeling super smooth and also helped to free hairs under the skin's surface so that my next shave gave me smoother results and my fake tan application went on a lot easier. Removing the dead skin cells can also help prevent ingrown hairs. Use on the rest of my body, also left my body so soft and the little handle actually made it so much easier to get to hard to reach areas such as the back of the back.

I also found that it was fantastic to use after a day at the beach – I obviously always wear sun crème, but I hate how it is always so difficult to wash off, and always leaves behind a sticky residue on my skin – the Le Edge quickly and effortlessly help get rid of that sticky feeling too!

Next I tried using it on my dry feet. As recommended I first soaked my feet in a bucket of warm water with foot salt, and hereafter I exfoliated my feet, including the very dry heels. Afterwards I moisturised my feet, and once the cream had absorbed, my feet were left so soft. I tell you, so much easier and more effective than using a foot file!!

Le Edge comes with a 12 month guarantee making this product not only extremely handy, but also very affordable and well worth the money – just imagine how much money you will be saving on body scrubs over a 12 month period!!

All in all, Le Edge really is a nifty too, that I’ve grown to love, and now couldn’t be without! It is such a brilliant multi-purpose tool designed to be used all over the body – and it can be used by hubby too! A lot more hygienic than the old loofah too!
