PRODUCT REVIEW: NAKED BEAN COFFEE CREAM BODY SCRUB, FACE SCRUB/MASK AND BERRY SOUFFLE

One of those ingredients that is really 'in' at the moment is coffee beans used in skincare, in products such as coffee scrubs. I've put some products from Naked Bean to the test...

Naked Bean is an Australian brand, which is actually not made far from where I live in Melbourne. Gotta love local products. Naked Bean promises that their scrub range is different, thanks to containing an array of naturally derived ingredients, plucked from nature and expertly developed in Australia including fresh roasted Robusta coffee beans with organic berries to deliver a smooth, yet highly hydrated skin. The products also contain ingredients such as Coconut Oil, Green tea extract and Witch Hazel extract.

One of the products I put to the test was the Naked Bean Coffee Cream Body Scrub. Often coffee scrubs come in either bags or jars, just looks like ground up coffee, and I am not sure if its just me, but when you scoop it out in the shower, you tend to drop so much on the floor, and consequently waste so much. So I really like that this coffee scrub is a cream version that comes in a tube to make it even easier to use. The scrub is made using the fresh roasted robusta coffee beans and organic Lingonberries & Billberries, and it promises to stimulate the skin while targeting cellulite. Now, I don't really struggle with cellulite, but using it once or twice a week, I have I have found that it makes my skin soft and smooth thanks so also containing ingredients such as shea and cocoa butter, and it is the perfect way to rid the skin of not only dead skin cells to make way for more glowing skin, it is also the perfect prep for self-tanner. It naturally has a gorgeous scent of coffee mixed with fruity berries, which you can only love.

For the face, there's the Coffee Cream Face Scrub/Mask, which is a creamy face scrub that also double as a face mask. The creamy mask contains robusta coffee, bilberries and lingonberries, and promises to help clean, exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin. The actual mask is quite gentle, but is still very efficient in gently exfoliating the skin, leaving it soft and glowing. And when left on the skin for 3-5 to dry, the added kaolin also helps draw out excess sebum and dirt from the pores, while witch hazel helps to balance the skin and tighten the pores. This scrub/mask is quite gentle, so on my skin, which admittedly is not particularly sensitive, but it can actually be used daily. And with regular use this mask clearly is making my skin feel and look less greasy. Again, it has a lovely scent of coffee mixed with the fresh fruitiness from the added berries.

Finally, there's the Naked Bean Berry Souffle Hand/Body Cream. This Hand and Body Cream contains among others Lingonberries and bilberries along with cocoa butter, shea butter rosehip oil, vitamin E, green tea extract, chamomile extract, witch hazel extract, kakadu plum, aloe vera, and avocado and jojoba oil. It has such a lovely light, almost whipped formula that absorbs into the skin immediately and leaves it feeling so silky soft and smooth, without any greasiness, which I really like, and with such a beautiful fresh fruity scent lingering on the skin.

These products from Naked Bean really are lovely, and they feel gorgeous to use, and smell absolutely amazing too. And not only are they so well priced too, they are also made in Australia, from sustainable organic ingredients, so definitely worth checking out.
