What I Say:
I have to be honest and admit that until just a few weeks ago, I’d never heard of INDIA haircare or I.C.O.N before. But a quick research revealed that apparently Penelope Cruz, Antonia Banderas, Madonna, Avril Lavigne, are all said to be big fans.

INDIA from I.C.O.N. captures the essence of health and beauty incorporating ancient practices with the restorative oils of Moringa to add luster and strength to hair; Argan to nourish and revitalize; and the fragrance of Amber to invoke past, present and future peace. The women of India use these oils to heal. I.C.O.N. uses them for hair-yurvedic benefits to transform hair from dull and lifeless to silky, manageable and full of shine

Now I have quite long and thick hair, which has been coloured countless times, although I have to admit that since being pregnant I have not had it coloured once as I feel the chemicals have not been safe for our unborn bub, so I am now counting down the days until I can finally get it touched up again! Anyway, due to its length it has been through quite a few hair colourings, hair straightening and hair styling sessions, so needless to say that, although my hair is in a fairly good condition, at times my hair is a little dry, especially at the ends.

And from the very first wash using the India Shampoo and conditioner, I was impressed. Just one wash with the shampoo was sufficient to make my hair feel clean, yet without making it feel squeaky clean. The thick white creamy shampoo is very concentrated so only a little is needed to work up a thick creamy lather. And even before using the conditioner, I can feel how soft my hair is.

The conditioner is also thick and concentrated so in spite of my very long and thick hair, I only need to use a little. It is instantly absorbed into my hair. After leaving it in my hair for a few minutes, it is easy to rinse out, without making the hair feel greasy or weighted down.

Once towel dried, I add a couple of sprays of the Healing Spray into my hands and hereafter worked through my damp hair. It may be easier to spray directly onto the hair, but I just prefer the control of putting it onto my hair first.

And afterwards my hair is very easy to comb with next to no tangles. After leaving it to air-dry, my hair is left feeling thoroughly moisturised, and so silky soft to touch. And it has a nice healthy shine.

The Healing Spray is an oil, that treats and conditions the hair, and helps repair and seal split ends, but even so it is light that it penetrates the hair instantly without leaving it feeling greasy, weighted down.

I normally only wash my hair every second day, which is more than sufficient for my hair, and the days I do not wash my hair, I usually use a little hair oil in the ends for extra moisture and shine, and also to help tame any flyaway hairs. And let me tell you, the India Oil worked perfectly for that, leaving my hair feeling silky soft and glossy.

Once of the first things that I noticed about the products is that they all have a very strong musky oriental scent of amber and spices. Compared to most other haircare products which usually have floral scents, this can be a very intense and overpowering scent, you’d have to get used to. But luckily the scent does fade somewhat once the hair is dry, and certainly becomes a lot more bearable, although your hair still has a gentle musky scent.

All in all, the INDIA haircare products are amazing, and really do live up to their claims as after just a few uses, I could both feel and see that the Moringa oil and Argan oil used in the products were doing my hair a world of good, it not only looked healthy and shiny, it felt incredibly soft too. The products come at reasonable prices for such high quality products, and I love the fact that the products are free from sulfate, gluten and parabens. So if your hair is in need being rejuvenated, I highly recommend you try it!
