PRODUCT REVIEW: MADARA ORGANIC SKINCARE FROM BIOBEAUTY - BRIGHTENING AHA PEEL MASK, ULTRA PURIFYING MUD MASK, DEEP MOISTURE GEL, SUPERSEED AGE RECOVERY FACIAL OIL AND BOOST AMIMO-FILL 3D AMPOULES

Increasingly interested in natural skincare products, I was recently offered to put a selection of products from Madara Organic Skincare from BioBeauty
Madara Organic Skincare, is a Latvian certified organic brand, and I’ve put the following products to the test over the last month or so;

Brightening AHA Peel Mask*
Ultra Purifying Mud Mask*
Deep Moisture Gel Day for Oily Skin*
Superseed Age Recovery Organic Certified Facial Oil*
Boost Amino-Fill 3D Lifting Booster Ampoules*

The Madara Brightening AHA Peel Mask is made using natural active fruit acids and Vitamin C from Quince along with hydrating lactic acid and soothing Elderflower extract. It is designed for all skin types, fir skin that is dull, showing signs of ageing, or suffers from blocked pores or acne. The rinse-off mask helps chemically exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells, give the skin a deep cleanse and unclog the pores, diminish the appearance of pigmentation and fine lines, while also helping to stimulate cell turnover and regeneration of new skin cells.

This mask is absolutely perfect for my pigmented ageing combination skin. For more sensitive skin, it can be used for just a few minutes once a week, but for skin like mine, combination or oily skin types, it can be used a few times a week and up to 15.

It tingles slightly on first application, but it quickly disappears. And once removed, my it leaves my skin feeling cleaner and softer than ever, clearly removing all dead skin cells and unclogging my pores too, as my skin is also appealing less greasy - but without being dried out - and is more clearified too. It also has the most gorgeous fresh and radiant glow. With regular use, I am convinced that using this mask has helped clear up some deeper set acne and clogged up pores that I’ve been struggling with for a long time, for an overall clearer and younger looking brighter skin.

The Ultra Purifying Mud Mask is made using among others kaolin clay to help absorb any excess sebum and impurities from the pores, along with Nordic-forest lake mud (Sapropel), which contains over 50 different micro-elements, including unsaturated fatty acids, polysaccharides, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, to help gently detoxify, hydrate and deeply nourish the skin, and boost the immune system and regenerate cells. It also contains lactic acid to help exfoliate and lavender to calm and soothe the skin.

It can be used on all skin types, once a week for sensitive skin, or twice a week for oilier or acne prone skin like mine. And after leaving it on for just 10 minutes, my skin is looking and feeling so clean and refined. Pores appear smaller, and my skin is simply feeling so soft and has a lovely matte look too, with all excess oil clearly removed. With regular use, I’ve found that it has helped minimise and clear up some stubborn blemishes as well as I’ve found that I’ve generally been getting less breakouts, and those that I’ve had, are smaller and not quit as angry. It does become a little ‘stiff; when it dries, which some may find uncomfortable, but personally I don’t really mind, but if you do, you can always simply remove it a little earlier.

The Superseed Age Recovery Organic Certified Facial Oil is a dry oil containing 10 rare regenerating dry oils designed to deeply rejuvenate and restore tired skin. It also helps neutralise all the environmental stresses and pollutants, thanks antioxidant from Black Currant seed, St.John’s wort and Sea Buckthorn oils. It also helps regenerate and restore tired skin, while also help hydrate and renew and fight the signs of ageing such as lines and wrinkles, pigmentation along with scarring with the added Pro-retinol A from the rose hip oil, Arctic berry and red vegetable seed oils. Finally, the added oils high in carotene, including Tomato, Rowanberry, Carrot seed, Cranberry seed, Raspberry and Strawberry seeds to also help reduce sun damage and reactivate the skin’s regeneration process.

I’ve been using a few drops of this oil in the evening. It does take a few minutes to absorb fully, and hence why I prefer to use it at night only, poor to my night cream. But I love how it leaves my skin feeling softer and smoother and the fact that it doesn’t make my already acne prone skin become more congested or make it breakout out. I also believe that it is helping not only add some extra intense moisture to leave my skin looking more refreshed and plump and more radiant too. I also find that it has helped reduce the appearance of some pigmentation and age spots and soften some scars and marks from past acne, as well as helping to heal current imperfections and scars too.

The Deep Moisture Gel Day for Oily Skin is a light gel designed for oily and combination skin types to help excess sebum production, minimise pore, reduce shine and soothe irritated skin.

The gel is quite light with an almost watery consistency , and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it soft and moisturised, but without any greasiness - as long as you don’t apply too much, as if you do, I can become a little sticky, but that’s only a good thing, as it’ll mean the bottle will just last longer. It works brilliantly under makeup, and I’ve found it helps make makeup stay looking nicer for longer, so clearly doing its job controlling excess sebum and thus shiny throughout the day.

After using for a few weeks, I’ve also found that my skin overall appears to be less greasy, which I really love. During the winter months, I do find my skin need a little extra, such as the Superseed Age Recovery Organic Certified Facial Oil serum underneath, but during summer when my skin tends to become even greasier, I can imagine it will be enough on its own.

The Boost Amino-Fill 3D Lifting Booster Ampoules are designed to help fight the signs of chronological ageing such as lines and wrinkles, loss of volume and plumpness, and sagging and weakened skin. They contain a potent concentration of Plant Origin Lifting Biopolymers to immediately tighten and lift the surface of the skin by forming an elastic, resistant and continuous 3D lifting network and also improve the skin’s texture, boost firmness and softness, and smooth lines and wrinkles. The ampoules also contain Amino Lipids to restore the connective tissue by promoting both the production of collagen, and firm and plump the skin by stimulating the recovery of volume-producing cells that have been damaged by age.

To use, you twist open an ampoule and apply a few drops to clean skin, morning and evening prior to any other serums and moisturiser. You’ll have to use the full contents within 24 hours, and there is enough in an ampoule for two applications, although you can stretch it to three uses if you like, and you can still manage to do within the 24 hours.

While the little ampoules are great for i.e. travelling, and I assume they’re packaged that way to ensure optimal potency, I would personally prefer if they came in a pump bottle in stead, so you don’t end up wasting product.

The Booster has the consistency of a light moisturiser and absorbs easily without any greasiness. They’re best used as a 10-day course, and hereafter 2-3 times per week to support the effects.

They leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth, and almost immediately after each use, I can both see and feel that my fine lines and wrinkles are looking reduced in appearance. After using for 10 days, I have rather enjoined using these in my skincare routine, and I see my skin looking somewhat firmer and younger looking too. A great treatment if you’re wanting to treat your skin to a little extra TLC or in the lead up to a special event.

Overall, I have to say that I am rather impressed with these products from Madara. The products are gentle, yet super effective and deliver just as promised. And as well as being natural and certified organic, I also love that they are cruelty free too. After trying these products, I am definitely keen in exploring more from the brand.
