PRODUCT REVIEW - PETER THOMAS ROTH ROSE STEM CELL BIO-REPAIR GEL MASK AND PRECIOUS CREAM

A while ago I talked about the amazing Glycolic range from Peter Thomas Roth (which you can read here), but this range has seriously done wonders to my pigmented ageing, yet blemish prone skin. But today, I am excited to be talking about some of the the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell products…

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell range is made using an advanced plant biotechnology that isolates and replicates the perfect rose stem cells from five rose plant stem cells – Rose Commiphora, Desert Rose, Damas Rose, Pale Rose and White Rose – are blended with four rose extracts – Rosa Damascena, Rosa Canina, Rose Hip Seed and Rose Water to help invigorate and improve the look of skin vitality. Helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration, dullness and sagging as it strengthens and tones the look of skin and helps with stimulate cell turn over, for a skin that is left looking silky soft, radiant, beautiful and youthful.

The Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask* has the rose stem cells blended into a cooling pretty pink gel that has the most divine Rose scent, though some may find it a little too scented, but personally, find it absolutely beautiful.

The gel mask can be used 2-3 times per week leaving in on the clean skin for 10 minutes before rinsing it off, or it can also be used daily for intensive repair and hydration, or even over night for an intensive treatment when needed.

My ageing, combination skin is not dehydrated, but that said, the sudden change and drop in temperatures here in Melbourne as autumn as set in, has left my skin feeling little drier than usual. And it certainly also does look tired and dull and could do with a lift and boost.

The mask feels lovely to wear and has a nice soothing and cooling feeling on the skin. I have used it both as a mask for 10-15 minutes, but have actually also put some on a Sunday morning my skin felt particularly parched, and left it on for the day - and immediate when removing it, my skin is left feeling incredibly soft and and so much plumper too, and with the most gorgeous healthy radiant glow too.

It is a great mask for those with drier skin, and also as a pick-me-up when needed, or before a special night out. It would also be great to pop into the fridge and use during summer after a day out in the sun to help soothe and repair the skin again. I will also be bringing it with me on my trip to Europe next month to help my skin recover after the long haul flights.

Then there’s the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio Repair Precious Cream*, which is an intense moisturiser that can be used both morning and evening. It doesn’t contains any SPF, which some may see as a negative, but personally i actually love that, as I prefer to add my usual SPF on top when needed.
The moisturiser contains a Triple Moisture Complex to help provide deep hydration to the skin to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sagging, dehydration and dullness, for a more radiant, renewed, rejuvenated and youthful appearance.

The intense moister did concern me a little as often such moisturisers can be way too heavy and congest my combination blemish prone skin, so I was quite relieved when I realised that it is quite lightweight and non greasy, and absorbs quick and easily without stickiness, and hence it also works fantastic as a base for makeup.

It instantly feels soothing and comfortable on the skin, and you can immediately feel the nourishing effect, as it leaves the skin looking softer and more glowing. And after just few uses, my skin generally appears more plump with some lines minimised in appearance, and my skin not as dull, but rather more glowing and healthy. My skin is going to love this come the cooler months. Like the Rose Stem Cell Gel Mask, this moisturiser has the most divine delicate rose scent.

Again, Peter Thomas Roth has impressed me with their products. They are as beautiful to use as they are to look at - and just look at those pretty pink jars! And the results just speak for themselves. Worth trying if you’re looking to give your skin a little extra care and nourishment this winter.

I am now even more keen on exploring more from the Peter Thomas Range, having my eyes on Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, as well as the Retinol and Un-Wrinkle ranges, which sounds amazing for my ageing skin too!
