MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FROM MOIYA SCENTS

And just like that, and we’re already into May. Seems only yesterday it was Xmas and New Years, and not Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Over the next couple of days, I’ve got some great gift ideas to share with you, just in case you’re struggling for ideas. Today its all about Moiya Scents..

Moiya is an Australian brand founded by Melissa Young, with the candles and Fragranced Diffusers created to capture the well-being of our mind, body and spirit. The products are all made in Australia too, using the highest quality fragrance oils, and there’s several different groups scents in the range, all presented in sleek white or black glasses - and you no doubt know how much I love sleek interiors and monochrone, so a perfect match for my modern house too.

I tried the Sante Soy Candle*, which in case you don’t know, means ‘Cheers’. it is a triple scented soy candle, made with the following notes

  • Top: Pear, apple, fruit juice
  • Middle: Citrus, pineapple & caramel
  • Bottom: Vanilla, rum, raw sugar

It is a such a beautiful sweet fruity scent from the sugar and caramel mixed with the apple and pear, while the vanilla gives it a slight warm powdery feel and the citrus helps ensure that it is still fresh and not too overly sweet. It is such a gorgeous scent that reminds me of summer, and warmer sunnier days.

The candle can burn for up to a massive 80 hours, and you don’t even have to lit it, just take the lid off for the beautiful scent to spread throughout the house, although of course when you do burn it, it smells even more divine.

I’ve also been enjoying the Moiya Scents Amour Scented Diffuser*, which means ‘Love’, and it comes in a sleek clear glass bottle, with a sleek simplistic white label, rose gold ‘collar’ around the neck of the bottle, and black reeds.

The scent contains the following notes;

  • Top: Green, orange, apple, cucumber, fruit
  • Middle: Gardenia, floral, rose, peach
  • Base: Musk, vanilla

The diffuser has a porous freshness from the green, orange, apple, and cucumber, which I really like, but with a touch of floral notes from the gardenia and rose, and a touch of sweetness from the peach and vanilla, and while I am not a huge fan of musk, this added note, I believe, helps ensure that it remains fresh and crisp, yet not too overly sweet.

The diffuser comes with 10 reeds, and you can add as many or as few as you like. I’ve placed the diffuser in our powder room, and being a small room, I’ve only added 4 reeds, to try not to make the scent too strong, and in my opinion it is more than sufficient, but you can of course use less if you prefer, or even more if you want the ‘full strength’.

And it smells absolutely divine. It is recommended that you flip the reeds two to three times per week, and the scent will generally last up to three mounts, depending on the conditions where it is placed.

These scented home products are so beautiful and luxurious, and every bit as beautiful as they look, and any mum with be sure to enjoy these for months to come. A bunch of fresh flowers may look and smell divine for a week, but these beautiful scents will have her home smelling divine for months!
