PRODUCT REVIEW: HOT WHEELS CARS - PERFECT FOR THE KIDS' ADVENT CALENDAR

Boys will always strive to be like their daddy. And when daddy is a keen motorsport fan, needless to say that my two boys are love cars too. And especially Hot Wheels. The little cars that fit so easily into the little kids’ hands, and are available in more different types that you can ever imagine possible, from all the colours of the rainbow to motorbikes, cars, utes, vans, trucks, busses.. helicopters, you name it! Oh, and even special edition ones such as the Bat-car or the Joker-mobile!!

Yup, my boys are obsessed. I love that they are high quality, none of that flimsy thin plastic that breaks if dropped - and of course all little kids are going to drop their tops - these die cast cars are made to last. Yeah, the paint can chip off (but it does take a lot to do so!), but even so, the car will still be perfectly fine.

So combined, my boys have an epic collection of Hot Wheels cars in the house. They always want just a few more. Or, Mummy, I haven’t got one like that. And yes, Hot Wheels continuously bring out new models, so you can keep building up your collection.

As well as the quality, I also love that they are so affordable. For both our boys, we have actually used these little cars as ‘poo and wee presents’!! Yeah, you read it correctly. When we were trying to toilet train them, we would reward our boys with a car at the end of the day, if they’d had no “accidents”. And I really think it helped. Sorry, I totally didn’t mean to turn this feature on Hot Wheels into a toilet training feature, but what I’m trying to say is that the cars are so cheap, that giving them a car, even daily, is quickly cheaper than buying nappies time and time again, and the encouragement is, I think making them trained faster, they’ll have a car to keep, you avoid the mess, and save money too - all while giving your kids toys. WIN-WIN if you ask me.

The little cars are also perfect for little pressies for friends, and will also be perfect for advent calendars, or even Christmas pressies too.

If you’re kids are not already into Hot Wheels, you must get them onto them. They can play with them for years to come, which in my opinion makes then great value toys too.
