PRODUCT REVIEW: BELLABOX AUGUST 2018

And just like that, another month has passed. At least it means that another winter month has gone, and we’re one step closer to warmer spring weather. I can’t wait. But it also means time for the August edition of the Bellabox*, which this month has the theme "Beauty Reset", with s selection of products to get yourself ready for spring. Here’s what’s inside this month…

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Caring - Deluxe sample, 50ml - (RRP: $26.95 / 200ml)
I love the La Roche-Posay products, in particular the Effaclar range, and haven’t tried this one, so looking forward to it. It is a gentle daily cleanser that promises to remove makeup, while not irritating or drying out even the most sensitive sin. All while containing caring ingredients including Thermal Spring Water and Niacinamide. Sounds good to me.

Canvas Beauty Rose Otto Overnight Intense Moisture Mask - Sample, 10ml - (RRP: $79 / 50ml)
I have never heard of Canvas Beauty before so quite excited about that. And the Rose Otto mask does sound nice. It promises to help moisturise, firm and tone the skin making it softer, smoother and younger looking. Perfect treat for winter dry skin.

Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque - Sample, 15ml - (RRP: $64.90 / 212ml)
Another brand which I’ve never heard of before, which is what I love about these beauty subscription boxes. I am not the biggest fan of coconut scented products, but that said, this hair masque promises to hydrate and restore damaged hair, while taming frizz, which does sound like it would be a good treatment for my long coloured hair. So cannot wait to put this one to the test.

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliation Treatment - Sample, 10ml - (RRP: $59.99 / 100ml)
I’ve seen this brand popping up a lot on my instagram feed and been quite intrigued by it, so quite excited to finally be able to put something to the test. This mask promises to resurface the skin while absorbing excess oil for a smoother, more even toned and magnified complexion. Sounds amazing, so another one I cannot wait to try.

Mellow Cosmetics Precision Liquid Pen Eyeliner - Full Size (RRP:$22.50 / 1.8)
I’ve tried a few things from Mellow before, mainly from being included in subscription boxes, and quite liked them, so happy to put this eyeliner to the test too. I use a liquid eye liner most days, so always great trying out a new black one. It has a pointy felt tip that makes drawing a fine line easy, and it promises to be long wearing, smudge and transfer proof, so yet again happy with this inclusion,

Finally, as a bonus product there was also a 1ml sachet sample of the Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Primer included. I am quite new to Revlon makeup, so while I am generally not fond of sachet samples and find them a little fiddly, it’s still another one I’m excited about trying.

So there you go, the August 2018 Bellabox. And yet again I have to say that I find its a great box. It is not been the greatest box ever, but still a good box in terms of both value and variety of contents and brands. The eyeliner alone, and the box is paid for, and in addition you get all the other products. I am in particular excited about the Sand & Sky Mask and the Canvas Beauty Moisture Mask, but my hair could also do with some TLC so the Coco & Eve hair mask wont go astray, and using an eyeliner on a daily basis, the black eyeliner from Mellow will come in handy too. I don’t have particularly dry or sensitive skin, but nonetheless, using a gentle cleanser never hurts, so the Facial Wash from La Roche Posay still a great addition regardless your skin type.

The box also contained a little word search card, where you were to find the beauty brand for a sneak peak of what's included in everyone's September box. The words 'T***E' was given as a hint, and needless to say, and after finding the word in the search, I am convinced its TARTE. How amazing, I can't wait. Fingers crossed I'm right!
