SCRUBALICIOUS BODY SCRUBS // PRODUCT REVIEW + GIVEAWAY

Today I am going to talk about some the most delicious body scrubs you’ve ever heard of - and read on, as I’ve teamed yo with Scrubalicious to give away a few too..

The Scrubalicious Body Scrubs is an Australian brand, and the products are made in Australia by the owner, Michelle, using nothing but natural raw ingredient that are good for you, good for the skin, and good for the environment. This also means that these body scrubs are made without preservatives, synthetic additives, toxic ingredients, artificial fragrances or chemicals that impact the skin and body, and environment negatively.

There are two different scrubs in the Scrubalicious Body Scrub range, the Coconut and Vanilla Scrub and the Coffee & Orange Scrub that has a beautiful

The Scrubalicious Coconut & Vanilla Body Scrub comes in an all white jar, and the actual scrub is is a pale beige tinted scrub. It is made using just raw brown sugar (hence the colour of the scrub!), coconut oil, ground coconut, sweet almond oil, macadamia oil and vanilla extract.

The raw sugar helps exfoliate the skin, while it also contains a natural glycolic acid that reacts with the upper layer of the epidermis to lose up the dead skin cells and give the skin a gentle exfoliation to help unplug the pores and remove blemishes, while also helping to smooth and firm the skin.

The added added vanilla bean has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, while the coconut oil, macadamia oil and sweet almost oil helps cleanse the skin, hydrate and provide important nutrients and antioxidants, including omega 6 and 9, for improved skin health

This scrub has a gorgeous vanilla scent with a touch of coconut. Personally I am not fond of too strong coconut scents, so love that the dominant scent in this scrub is the vanilla.

The Scrubalicious Coffee & Orange Body Scrub comes in the all black jar, and the actual scrub clearly shows that one of the key ingredient is coffee, as the scrub has a darker brown shade.

Along with the ground coffee, this scrub also contains raw brown sugar, coconut oil, macadamia oil, sweet almond oil and orange essential oil.

This scrub has some of the same benefits as the Coconut & Vanilla, as it helps to exfoliate the skin and unplug the pores, while cleaning, hydrating and add nutrients to the skin. The coffee adds antioxidants to help fight premature ageing. The added orange essential oil not only helps give the scrub the most gorgeous uplifting sweet citrusy orange scent, it also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, and helps boost the production of collagen and increase blood flow to the skin.

Both of these scrubs are absolutely divine, each on their own, and both feel so lovely on the skin. Grainy, but not too rough, and leaves the skin feel so soft and smooth, and simply glowing after each use.

You can use them a few times a week, and thanks to the added nourishing oils, according to Scrubalicious, no need to moisturise afterwards, though I must admit I feel it never hurts to apply a body cream too to lock in the moisture and for extra care.

It is difficult to pick a favourite between the two, and I think it really comes down to personal scent preference - and as coffee and citrus scent would be my favourites, needless to say that would also be my preferred combo, and I find it the perfect way to give me body (and mind) a good wake up call in the mornings. If you’re more into the slightly sweeter, and a little more tropical coconut and vanilla scent, then this would be the one for you..
