FRAGRANCE FRIDAY: DKNY BE DELICIOUS BY DONNA KARAN / PRODUCT REVIEW

It’s Friday, so its time for another Fragrance Friday - and today its about another one of my favourites. I’ve already used up several bottles, and already have a backup, as I just can never tire of this beautiful scent. I am of course talking about the beautiful DKNY Be Delicious EdP by Donna Karan.

The scent, which comes in the cutest little glass bottle with a silver lid, shaped like apple, and thus immediately gives away how you will find the scent - a fresh apple scent.

The DKNY Be Delicious contains the following notes;

  • Top Notes: Grapefruit, Cucumber, Magnolia
  • Middle Notes: Tuberose, Rose, Lily-of-the-valley, Violet, Green Apple
  • Base Notes: Woodsy Notes, Amber, Sandalwood

This is such a gorgeous fresh fruity, green and aqua scent. The infusion of the apple and the cucumber makes it absolutely gorgeous, while the touch of the grapefruit, gives it a touch of zestiness too. The added florals, and for me, especially the white strong ones such as lily-of-the-valley and magnolia, two of my favourite flowers (I have a garden full of magnolias, and if it wasn’t because the lily-of-the-valley is actually poisonous to my dogs and little kids, I’d have them too) - give the scent a beautiful floral dimension too. I am not usually a fan of heavy woods or amber, but in this case, I do think that they addition is great as otherwise I think the scent could easily be way too heavy.

This scent is an Eau de Parfum, which means that it is more concentrated, and this has a great lasting power and easily lasts on my skin from early morning to night.

There are a few other versions of the DKNY Delicious fragrances, and while they are beautiful too, this fresh and juicy green apple scent, is my favourite. The scent was launched all the way back in 2004, but it is seriously so beautiful, so no wonder it is still a popular scent.
