PRODUCT REVIEW: FABY NAILS

Today I’d like to share with you a nail polish brand that is new to the Australian market, Faby Nails;

What They Say:

Styled in Milan Italy, FABY is the newest and most innovative professional nail brand to hit Australia. Offering more than 205 lacquer shades, treatment products, lacquering gel and including an exclusive Men’s Only Collection, FABY is not afraid to push the boundaries in terms of innovative products. This Cruelty Free brand is made without all those nasty chemicals such DBP (DibutylPhthalate), Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor – FABY is the Big 5 Free.

RRP: $19.95 – Available from Faby Nails

What I Say:

I love it when new nail polish brands emerge, only sadly many of them are still loaded with the harsh chemicals, so it excites me when I hear that another nail polish brand that takes this serious, has landed on the Australian shores. And these nail polishes from Faby Nails are not just 3-Free, containing no DBP, Tolulene or Formaldehyde, they are 5-Free taking I a step further and have also excluded formaldehyde resin and camphor. And considering that these chemicals can potentially be quite harmful to your health, this can only be applauded.

And personally, right now, being pregnant, I have to admit that I am not painting my nails as much as I otherwise would, simply because of the chemicals in the nail polishes, but these Faby nail polishes have made me a little more comfortable with it.

Faby Nails in Valentina's Day

The nail polishes are very easy to apply – even for someone like me who is otherwise quite hopeless applying nail polish, and that’s all thanks to the special flat brush that makes application easy and quick, and streak-free too. And I also really love that they dry so quickly so I can get on with things.

Faby Nails in Innocent Fantasy

The polishes last around 4-5 days before they start to chip at the edges, and that’s without a top coat – and with frequent hand washing throughout the day, so personally I find that very reasonable.

I tried three colours;

  • Innocent Fantasy – a soft pastel pink, symbolising young love
  • Valentina’s Day – a scarlet red shade symbolising love
  • Hold My Hand - a bright pink fuchsia shade

Faby Nails in Hold My Hand

And each of the colours are stunning in their own right, and at $19.95 each, I also find them reasonably priced, and certainly competitive to other nail polishes on the market of such high quality. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate adding more colours to my collection, although with 205 shades in the range, the choice of shades would be a difficult one.

Ever heard of Faby Nail polishes? Are you concerned with the chemicals used in nail polishes?
