Product Review: bhave Magnify Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner

I have long hair which is thick, and due to its length it is a little heavy and consequently always flat and lacking volume. I am always looking for new products to help maintain my hair, so when I was offered to trial the *bhave Magnify Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner, I happily accepted. Here are my thoughts;

What They Say:
The Magnify Shampoo is “A lightweight, volume boosting formulation that gently cleanses while adding vitality and volume to all hair types. Enriched with keratin and macadamia oil. Suitable for normal, fine, limp or oily hair and scalp”.

The Magnify Conditioner is “A lightweight conditioner that adds vitality, body and bounce to all hair types. Enriched with keratin and certified organic argan oil. Suitable for normal, fine, limp or oily hair and scalp”.

RRP: Shampoo or Conditioner, each $32.95 (300ml) – Available from select hair salons

What I Say:
I recently reviewed the bhave Hydrator Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Leave-in Crème (if you haven’t seen my reviews, you can see the shampoo and conditioner here, and the leave-in review here), and as I really loved those products, I automatically had high hopes for the Magnify Shampoo and Conditioner as well.

The Magnify volumising shampoo and conditioner contains a blends of keratin, vitamin E and pro-vitamin B5 with certified organic aloe vera, evening primrose and macadamia oils, and certified organic aloe vera to balance the scalp and hair and restore pH levels, to help prevent against hair breakage while improving hair strength and elasticity, heal the scalp while moisturising the hair, strengthen, nourish and add shine to the hair.
My long hair is generally it is quite healthy, but due to its length, needless to say that it has been through countless summers, hair colourings and heat sessions, so it is a little dry at the ends with some split ends. The length also means that it is a little heavy, and consequently very flat with very little volume.

I usually wash my hair every second day, and rarely do I feel that I need to wash it more than once. When shampoos do not contain sulphates I often find that it can be difficult to get the shampoo to lather properly, but that was not the case with the Magnify shampoo. It easily lathered up into soft foam, and just one shampooing was needed to make my hair feel wonderfully clean, yet without my hair feeling squeaky or stripped for moisture.

Afterwards I used the Magnify conditioner, and my hair instantly absorbed conditioner. After a few minutes I rinsed out the conditioner, which was very easy to do, unlike other conditioners where you keep rinsing and rinsing and keep feeling there is residue left in the hair. Instantly my hair felt so soft and it was free from knots too.

Combing it afterwards is so easy as it is free from knots and tangles, and once dry, my hair is left silky soft, and is so easy to manage. My hair looks so shiny and healthy, yet without being weighed down. My hair feels light as a feather, and with significantly less fly-aways than I would usually have. Often I find that volumising shampoos and conditioners achieve their result by being less moisturising and consequently weighing the hair less down - but the Magnify shampoo and conditioner has not compromised, and have still deeply nourished my hair from roots to end.

I really love this shampoo and conditioner and how it with continued use it is making my hair feeling less weighed down, and consequently feeling and looking a lot healthier! My hair simply has a lot more body and volume than normal, while at the same time moisture seems to have been restored, even in the dry ends and it just looks healthier and shinier than ever. And as an added bonus, I love the fact that the these keratin-enriched products give your hair effective nutrition, without the use of harmful additives such as sulfates, phosphates, and parabens, while still remaining colour-safe as well as.

Both the shampoo and conditioner come in white round cylinder bottles with a flip lid at the top. I really love the simple and sleek design of the bottles, and they are easy to use in the shower with wet hands too. I also love that the colour of the writing and the sticker on top of the lids are different in colour, lavender for the shampoo, and grey for the conditioner, which makes it easy to quickly distinguish between the two in the shower.

Both the shampoo and the conditioner have a nice floral scent, which is very pleasant and far from overpowering. And once my hair is washed and dry, it smells absolutely gorgeous, yet again without being too intense or overpowering.

All in all the Magnify shampoo and conditioner really are fantastic products, and if you like me have flat hair with no volume or body whatsoever, then I highly recommend that you try it. You really won’t be disappointed.
