PRODUCT REVIEW: VESTIGE VERDANT ORGANC PEET MASK, PURE BRILLIANCE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER, ABSOLUTE HYDRANCE DAY CREAM AND COMPLETE RECOVERY NIGHT CREAM

Some time ago, I put a range of products to the test from a Vestige Verdant (you can read more about them here!). I really enjoyed the products so excitedly accepted when I was offered to trial some of the brands updated as well as new products.

Briefly, about Vestige Verdant, the brand believes that your body is a temple, which is why all their products are of the highest quality and made with the belief that organic skincare is the only way forward, and that skincare products must be health improving without risk. The brand is clearly not just popular, but also effective, as as it has received several awards and remarkable recognitions from industry relevant beauty magazines, including but not limited to: Vogue and Cosmopolitan.

I initially tried the Vestige Verdant Organic Peat Mask, and really enjoyed the mask - except for one thing, the scent of it. And I mustn’t have been the only one commenting on this, as Vestige Verdant has listened, and now changed the formula. It only contains Sphagnum Peat Moss Extract and Aqua, but the way it has been produced is different, with the result that it is now even smoother in texture AND it has next to no scent. Bonus.

It is such a great mask, helping to reinvigorate and detox the skin, while also helped to tighten the skin and smooth wrinkles and fine lines, boost blood circulation, decrease greasiness and acne and restore the natural pH level of healthy skin. This mask works absolutely wonders on my ageing yet blemish prone skin, and all in just 3 minutes.

But let’s talk about all the new products from Vestige Verdant, including
  • Pure Brilliance Micellar Cleansing Water
  • Absolute Hydrance Day Cream
  • Complete Recovery Night Cream

First there’s the Vestige Verdant Pure Brilliance Micellar Cleansing Water, which is an organic cleansing water enriched with micelles. The minuscule deep cleansing micelles absorb impurities, grit and grime without excessive scrubbing or damaging your skin. The formula also helps remove makeup and excess oil and sebum from the skin, but without drying out the skin.

I found it easily removed my general makeup, and without any issues and without having to rub or scrub my face, but that it did struggle a little with my waterproof mascara. Consequently I’ve been using my regular waterproof eye makeup remove and then used it to remove the remainder of my makeup - though I personally like using gel cleanser and smash water in my face after wearing makeup all day, - so I have been using it more as my morning cleanser, to rid the skin of all the gunk accumulated on my skin throughout the night. And I love not just how easy it is to use - simply spray a few squirts on a cotton pad and wipe over the face, no rinsing needed. And I love that it feel so soft, clean, soothed and clearly refreshed.

I love the fact that it has a spray nozzle as it makes it even easier to use it does have a slightly odd scent, but it is very subtle and quickly fades, but the black glass bottle, along with the premium formula, without a doubt, makes this Micellar Cleansing Water the most luxurious one I’ve ever used.

Then there’s the Vestige Verdant Absolute Hydrance Day Cream is an energising day cream loaded with essential vitamins, nutrients and organic ingredients that helps protect the skin from environmental damage that causes premature ageing. One of the interesting ingredients in the cream is Snail Secretion Filtrate, or Snail slime, which contains nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans, and antimicrobial and copper peptides, and said to help the cells produce collagen and elastin, even out skin tone and smooth its surface, and add hydration.

The cream has a gentle delicate scent a super light consistency, and absorbs fairly quickly into the skin without any greasiness, which with my combination skin, prone to breakouts I really like. It also works great as a base for makeup during the day. I also like how it is mad without silicone or mineral oils, so it doesn’t clog up my pores, or make it break out.

The moisturiser leaves my skin feeling so silky soft and smooth, and refreshed too, and within days, my otherwise dull and tired looking skin also appears to be smoother and also more glowing and radiant.

Finally, there’s the Vestige Verdant Complete Recovery Night Cream. This cream is designed to make the most of the skin’s natural cycle, and help it repair and restore itself while you sleep.

Like the day cream, this night cream uses Snail Secretion Filtrate, or Snail slime, as one of its key ingredients, with the hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans, and antimicrobial and copper peptides, helping the cells produce collagen and elastin, even out skin tone and smooth its surface, and add hydration.
It thereby also helps fights signs of ageing by slowing and preventing skin ageing process, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, tightening the skin, restoring the skin’s elasticity, minimises pores and helps to normalise sebum secretion, leaving the skin looking smoother and younger.

The cream is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin types. Usually night creams targeting signs of ageing, can be very thick and heavy, which is not ideal when you like me also have combination skin very prone to breakouts - so it was lovely surprise that this cream, while still quite thick and rich, absorbs quickly and easily into the skin, and without leaving my skin feeling greasy or like it is drowning in moisture. Rather my skin is actually, and surprisingly, enjoying the intense moisture, and after a few weeks use, is left feeling softer and smoother than ever, and with lines and wrinkles appearing minimised as my skin looks plumper, and consequently, I guess you can say that my skin does look younger. I have noticed any major difference in terms of my increasing pigmentation, but the fact that my otherwise dull skin looks more healthy and more glowing, is fantastic.

Like the day cream, this cream comes in a black jar with a black label, which looks fantastic, and very luxurious too.

Overall, these products really are great and luxurious to both look at and to use, and in fact I actually enjoy all of them, so cannot pick a favourite - and will be sad the day they’re all used up. But if I do have to point one out, it would be the Peet Mask, as it really is magical, and doing wonders to my skin, and in just a few minutes.

I love the fact that they are made using natural and organic ingredients, completely free from any chemical nasties including no parabens, silicone- or mineral oils, that can irritate or clog up my breakout prone skin. If you’re looking for some high quality organic products, that really do live up to to their claims, they you really should give them a try.
