K-BEAUTY ELIZAVECCA KANGSI PACK AND LINDSAY GOLD MODELLING MASK FROM STYLE STORY // PRODUCT REVIEW + GIVEAWAY

K-Beauty…or Korean Beauty as it is short for, is something everyone is raving about these days. This country just seems to have managed to be a step ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to the development of new beauty products and trends, with these beauty products using unique ingredients or adding new skin steps into our routines that we had never through of before.

Many of these brands are now arriving at our shores, and one of those stores that stock a range of K-Beauty products, is Style Story Australia. Style Story Australia was one of the first to arrive, stocking many the key Korean beauty brands. I’ve put a couple to the test, and make sure to read on to find out how you can get to win a set to try for yourself too.

Both of the products that I’ve put to the test, uses the key ingredient gold which is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits, as well as it can help;

  • Increase the skin’s elasticity to help reduce wrinkles, fine lines and prevent premature ageing
  • Increase blood circulation and metabolism of skin cells and waste, and thus help reduce blemishes
  • Decrease skin dryness as it increases the skin metabolic rate
  • Even out the complexion, enhance youthfulness and make the skin look for glowing and radiant

The Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy is a face mask that contains that is super luxurious thanks to one of the key ingredients being 24K Gold extract, which has been added to help improve the skin’s elasticity and tone.

In addition, the mask also contains;
  • Propolis to fight against ageing skin and inflammatory skin conditions for firmer, more toned skin and a smoother appearance
  • Adenosine that penetrates into the skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles

Overall, the mask is also supposed to help with uneven skin tone by brightening the skin, reducing pigmentation, while also balancing out the skin, reducing oiliness and moisturising the skin.

The actual mask as a beautiful and luxurious shimmering gold colour when it comes out of the tube, and it is to spread over the skin. As it dries on the skin, it slowly turns white, and after the recommended 15-20 minutes on the skin, it has turned completely white. And while it is dry, I like that it is not feeling tight on may skin. Once rinsed off, my skin feels so soft and smooth, and also looks very radiant and glowing. I can also feel that my skin is less greasy, but without my skin feeling dried out, and some larger pores, especially on my t-zone do look noticeably smaller in size too.

This is a great mask, and I really like that it works on both blemishes and has anti-ageing benefits at the same time, its the perfect match for my skin tone.

Now, I have not noticed any permanent brightening benefits on my skin, but I do like the immediate radiant glow it gives my skin, and how it really does seem to make my skin less greasy - so I find that this mask is a great pick-me-up, just prior to going out for extra radiant glow.

Oh, and how cute is that tube with the little piggy jumping in the golden puddle with the little gold ‘ghosts, and not to mention that little waving ghost at the top the pack. Absolutely adorable.

Then there’s the Lindsay All-in-One Gold Modeling Mask Pack, which is a rubber mask that you mix your self, which also means that it fits perfectly to your skin, as the gel simply adjusts to your face shape.

This particular Lindsay All-in-One Gold Modeling Mask Pack is said to be good for all skin types, and again contains gold as the key ingredient, promising to rejuvenate dull skin, and leave the skin looking more rested and refreshed, and with a radiant glow thanks to the added minerals.

Having not tried this type of mask from Linsay before, I naturally followed the instructions to the full, which was pretty easy. You simply put approx 7 spoon of water, using the include spoon, and then mix it into the powder in the sachet until it has a gel consistency. You then apply it to the face, making it a little thicker on the edges of the face, to make sure it is easy to lift off after the recommended 15-20 minutes when it has become a rubbery mask. Hereafter you finish with a toner and can then apply your makeup as per usual.

I found it quite easy to apply to the face, and even though I thought I applied it quite generously, I did find that I had way too much mask, which I found a little wasted, so ended up applying it onto my neck too.

The mask itself feels so lovely, cooling and soothing, and simply very relaxing on the skin, which was just a lovely. It was also very easy peel off, without any discomfort - I think everyone has tried a peel off mask that hurt to peel off - but not this one. It was quick and easy. Afterwards you simply discard of the mask.

Afterwards my skin simply looked so refreshed and glowing, and also felt incredibly soft and smooth.

Apart from feeling that I wasted a bit of the face mask, I really liked the idea and effect of this Gold Modeling Mask, not only did I feel it was so relaxing and soothing to my face that I am sure it had helped relax my usual facial tensions, but I also really liked the lovely radiant glow my skin had afterwards.

Overall, I am really impressed with these products, and love how different they are to anything I’ve previously tried, and no doubt, the added gold does make them feel very luxurious to use - while still being very affordable.

I definitely feel they are worth a try, and would not hesitate purchasing either of the masks again, as well as I am now keen to explore more products from both brand, and delve even further into K-Beauty.
