PRODUCT REVIEW: CLINIQUE TURNAROUND ACCELERATED RENEWAL SERUM, INSTANT FACIAL AND OVERNIGHT MOISTURISER

Clinique has been one of my favourite brands for as long as I can remember, and ever since the range was launched, I have been a Turnaround fan. This range has been developed to energise and refresh the skin and give it a healthy glow, so when the newest edition along with a few trusted favourites landed on my desk, I couldn't wait to try. Here's my thoughts in the new Clinique Turnaround Accelerated Renewal Serum, along with the Revitalizing Instant Facial and Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer.

Common for these products is that they all contain chemical exfoliants including salicylic acid, to help gently exfoliate the outer layer of the skin to reveal new, fresher and softer skin. It is thus also perfect for those of us with combination skin types as the salicylic acid (which is also commonly found in blemish products), it helps unclog pores, and leave the skin less greasy. While also helping to refine the skin texture, minimise pores, lines and pigmentation.

Anyway, let's start with the Clinique Turnaround Revitalising Instant Facial. This is a facial cream has a gorgeous pealescent look, and can be used 2-3 times per week as needed. I have gone through several tubes of this, as I absolutely love it, as it is the ultimate quick-fix to instantly give the skin radiance. It can be left on the skin, or used to exfoliate - and personally I like to leave a thin layer on my skin for a few minutes, while I i.e. brush my teeth, before massaging it with damp fingers to further exfoliate the skin. It is extremely gentle, so the first time I used it, I remember thinking that it surely couldn't be that effective, but how wrong I was. It leaves the skin incredibly silky soft and smooth, and without feeling dry or tight, and it has a lovely radiant glow. It contains tiny micro glitter particles that helps with making the skin even more radiant, but just make sure that you do rinse your face thoroughly after use or you will end up looking a bit 'glittery' afterwards. It is perfect as a weekly treatment, or even just before a big event or night out, for added radiance and glow.

Then there's the new Clinique Turnaround Accelerated Renewal Serum, which claims to be a 'high-speed revitalizing serum with Multi-Renewal™ Technology fast-tracks fresh, healthy cells to skin's surface—and even helps defuse the environmental aggressors that can slow renewal. With cell turnover humming along at optimal speed, skin looks luminous, feels velvety smooth, with a virtually poreless texture and lit-from-within glow'.

The serum comes in a convenient pump bottle, and the milky white serum is so light, and absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving it silky soft and smooth, and thanks to its oil-free formula, it also leaves the skin with a beautiful matte finish those of us with greasier skin types can appreciate. This also means that it works perfectly under makeup. It can be used morning and evening, prior to your usual moisturiser. I have been using it morning and night for maximum benefit, after I've cleansed my skin in the morning, and again at night (with the Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturiser) I can immediately both feel and see that it is making my skin look so much more glowing and radiant - comparing to previously where I've just been using the Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturiser on its own. It really does give the skin a more intensive treatment.

Finally, the Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalising Moisturiser, is a night cream that works while you sleep to reveal more luminous skin. The moisturiser helps gently exfoliate and buff away dead skin cells and excess sebum, as well as clear the dulling effect of sun damage and general age-related skin concerns. It is very hydrating on the skin, but without feeling heavy or making my combination skin feel congested, something I've often experienced with night creams, and it also doesn't make my skin feel greasy when I wake in the morning - but rather, this Overnight Moisturiser actually helps keep my skin clearer and free from blemishes, and those breakouts that I do get, seem to clear up faster. I have also noticed that it has helped reduce those nasty dark and red marks after breakouts. With continued use, it simply makes my skin look so much better, as my complexion seems to be more even, and I've come to enjoy waking up to a skin that is feeling silky smooth and soft and glowing.

Not surprisingly, I am seriously in love with these Turnaround products from Clinique, as they just haven't failed to impress me. Usually you expect to wait several weeks before you can see any difference in your skin when starting new skincare products, and yes, major changes do take time, weeks, even months - but with these products, you can literally start to both see and feel the benefits from the very first use. The Turnaround Revitalizing Instant Facial is so convenient to have at hand when you feel your skin needs an instant pick-me-up, the Overnight Moisturiser has seriously made such a significant difference to my skin, making it look so refreshed and glowing every morning, even when I've yet again had a bad night sleep thanks to our two little toddlers. And finally, the newbie, the Turnaround Accelerated Renewal Serum, this is such a great addition to the range, as it really does give my skin even more glow and radiance.

And yes, with continued use, I do feel my skin is looking more refined, clearer and brighter, softer and simply healthier and more youthful too. I know I'll be purchasing these products again when I run out, and if you feel your skin is looking dull and could do with a bit of a boost, you really need try these out.
