PRODUCT REVIEW: W7 COSMETICS IN THE NUDE EYESHADOW PALETTE, THE HONEY QUEEN AND KABROW

Today on the blog I'm going to talk about a couple of products from W7 Cosmetics that I've recently put to the test.

At just $9.99 this has to be about this W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette is the cheapest eye shadow dupe for Urban Decay palettes that I’ve come across! It even comes in a metallic case! There are 12 eye shadows ranging in colour from a champagne nude, though pink-ish nudes, burnt nudes though to dark chocolate browns, with some of the colours matte and others with a sheen.

And as someone who rarely wears anything but nude and brown eye shadows, I cannot say that here is any colour that I don’t like and wouldn’t wear. The palette also comes with a double ended applicator that has a sponge in one end and a brush in the other. As with the eye shadow quad, you can naturally use any of the shades individually for a quick and simple look, or in any imaginable combination to create the perfect smoky nude eye.

Then there's the W7 Honey Queen Honey Comb Blusher, which is surprisingly similar to the boxed blushes and bronzers from Benefit, both in terms of how it comes packaged, but also because it has a soft little square brush included inside - and in terms of the colour range in the blush, I feel it is very similar to the Benefit Sugarbomb powder. The W7 blusher contains bronze, golden, peach and apricot shades in a honeycomb pattern that combined gives a lovely warm flushed look on the cheeks with a radiant sheen. The actual powder is soft and easy to apply, (although I do prefer to use a proper blush brush to the little one included), and it is fairly pigmented too so you can build up the intensity.

The W7 Cosmetics Kabrow Brow Thickener, is a powdery brow product that is applied to the brows with a pointed sponge applicator to help fill and shape the brows. It is super easy to use, and does have a very natural look. Consistency wise I'm unsure if its a dupe for any high end products, but I do know that the name Ka Brow is also used by Benefit Cosmetics for one of their brow products.

Overall, these are great products, especially when you consider their low price point of just $5 and $10, they you really cannot expect the world, but I have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality. No, these are not the best quality products that I've ever used, but they are still exceptional value for money, and perfect for those who are on a budget and cannot afford the splurge or simply want to experiment with new types of products. General for W7 Cosmetics is that the products are dupes for more expensive products, many of them Benefit Cosmetics, - the quality is obviously not quite the same, but again, you shouldn't expect that either at the lower price. That said, with my marketing and brand management I just don't quite agree with the fact that the products are also so similar in looks to their higher end counterparts, all the way down to the packaging that appears to be copies!
