Product Review: Innoxa Antioxidant Lip Glaze

Lately I have to admit that I’ve been preferring to use lipglosses over lipsticks. They are so much easier to apply on the go, and the sheer finish a little more casual too. Here are my thoughts on the *Innoxa Antioxidant Lip Glazes;

What They Say:

"Nourishing lip glazes with high gloss & shine. Infused with Antioxidants to condition and repair lips. Available in 5 nourishing shades."

RRP: $14.95 - Available from Myer, Priceline, Terry White Chemists, My Chemist, Chemist Warehouse and leading pharmacies nationally, and Innoxa online

What They Say:
These new Lip Glazes from Innoxa are inspired by fruits and come in 5 different colours Guava, Tangerine, Berry, Apple and Plum. The lip glazes contain pomegranate seed oil, shea butter, vitamin E and green tea extracts, which to help nourish, protect and repair the lips.

The Lip Glazes give a nice glossy and shiny finish, without being sticky. And as they are so moisturising, they are so comfortable to wear too. And even when the colour wears off, the lips still feel moisturised and soft. As with most other lip glosses, they do not last long on the lips, - drink of water and most of the lip colour is stuck on the glass. However, using them with i.e the Innox Invisible Lip Shaper, they do seem to last longer, and if used on top of a lipstick, even longer again.
The lip glazes give the lips a slight tint of colour, with the darker colours also being more pigmented than the lighter colours.

And each of the colours also have a different scent, some stronger than others. Here’s a rundown of all the colours;

Guava

This is the palest colour in the range. It doesn’t give much colour on the lips, but rather just a glossy sheen that would also be perfect on top of any colour lipstick. It has a scent of coconut, which as I am not the biggest fan of coconut scented products, is my least favourite of the five colours. But that is only due to the scent, as the colour is lovely and very wearable, so if you love coconut scented products, this may just be the one for you!

Berry

This is a bright pink, but once on the lips it gives a slightly more pink glossy tint on the lips, but again this is very sheer. I am not sure if it is intended to smell of berries, but to me it has a sweet scent which reminds me a little of kids bubble gum – but in spite of being sweet, it’s still a lovely and pleasant scent.

Tangerine

The Tangerine colour has a coral orange colour, which also looks quite bright in the packaging, but again once on the lips, it just gives a sheer orangy-red tint on the lips. It has a lovely orangey scent, which I quite like.

Apple

Apple is bright red in colour, and just to repeat myself, looks very bright in the packaging, but it is also the one that shows up darkest on the lips. It has a similar scent to the Berry, but just a little stronger, but still pleasant.

Plum

The Plum is more of a dusty rose colour, and yet again looks very dark in the packaging, and once on the lips, it is also shows up darker on the lips, though still with a sheer colour. It has a slight fruity scent, with a hint of a coconut undertone, but it is so faint that I can certainly ignore it!

All in all, at $14.95 these Lip Glazes from Innoxa really are a fantastic buy. All the colours are lovely, so I do struggle a little saying which one is my favourite… but if I have to, I’d have to pick two, Tangerine and Apple – simply because they are a little darker in the tint, and different to any other colours that I currently have in my collection. But still happy to be lucky to have all five colours, as they are truly all beautiful!

    1. I love them too, in particularly Apple - and being a bit conservative and not liking to wear too bright lipsticks, this is giving me the colour, but while still being sheer and subtle!
