PRODUCT REVIEW: SCHOLL VELVET SMOOTH EXPRESS PEDI ELECTRONIC FOOT FILE AND SMOOTH INTENSE SERUM

With a toddler it is limited how much time I have to myself, and I will happily admit that my feet are one of the first things to be neglected – and summer only seems to make my feet look even drier and hence even worse, which is not something that thrills me seeing I live in sandals most of the summer. But I’ve found some products which can help make your feet feel (almost) as soft as baby feet in record time. Here are my thoughts on the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File and Smooth Intense Serum;

What They Say:
Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File is an electronic foot file that effectively removes hard skin on the foot. The ergonomically shaped device features a fast rotating micralumina head that makes easy work of hard skin, exfoliating the foot through a gentle and safe rotating action. The foot file comes with a replaceable head for up to 12 treatments, and is ready to use with four AA batteries included. Skin is left smooth and soft after application.

RRP: $49.99 – Available from Priceline, pharmacies, variety stores and supermarkets

Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum provides intense hydration for dry feet. It contains hyaluronic acid and green caviar to deliver hydration. The formula also features petavitin, which binds to the skin’s keratin to maintain moisture balance. The serum should be applied after using the Velvet Smooth Express Pedi or whenever skin is feeling dry.

RRP: $14.99 (30ml) - Available from Priceline, pharmacies, variety stores and supermarkets

What I Say:

The Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File is basically an electronic foot file that works with the use of AA batteries, and it quickly removes hard skin on the foot, yet it is so gentle that you don’t need to worry that it will shave too much off. If you have very dry feet, it does get a little messy as the dead skin cells are shaven off, so I recommend doing it either outside, or at least sit with a towel underneath.

The bright blue device has an ergonomically shaped handle that is easy to hold, and it has a simple on and off switch and one speed. It has a rotating micralumina head – which is the sand paper that files your feet through its rotating action. It is claimed that the foot file is good for up to 12 treatments, but I am yet to use it that many times to see if that is true, but I guess that it essentially depends on how dry and cracked your feet are. But the good thing is that you can buy replacement heads for $19.95 for two new heads, so you don’t have to buy a whole new foot file, which helps justify the high $49.95 outlay.

It is a little noisy, but I guess that most electronic devices are, including for instance my epilady shaver or even my facial brush!

I have been using the Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum along with the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File for the past few weeks, and it works an absolute treat. The Foot File is quick and easy to use, but when combining with the Intense Serum you get the softest feet you’ll ever have. As soon as you apply it, you can simply both see and feel the results. The skin is visibly smoother and silky soft, and any signs of dry skin instantly disappear.

It comes in a convenient pump bottle and it has a lovely fresh fruity and floral fragrance. The Intense serum contains hyaluronic acid and green caviar and it really does deliver intense hydration, as well as it contains petavitin, which binds to the skin’s keratin to maintain moisture balance all day.

Most foot creams that I have previously tried are thick and sticky, so they take forever to absorb into the skin, and the last thing you want to do is put on your shoes afterwards. But not with the Intense Serum, it is so light and thin, it spreads so quickly and easily, and instantly absorbs into the skin, without any greasiness or stickiness. It is amazing that such a light serum can offer such an intense moisturisation!

At $14.99 for a small 30ml bottle, you may think it is expensive, I mean, foot creams usually come in larger tubes, but don’t be fooled, as it is seriously concentrated so just one small pump of the serum per foot is more than sufficient.

Overall, I am really enjoying using this Express Pedi Foot File and the Smooth Intense Serum as these products really do cut down on the time it takes to keep my feet soft and smooth, and use by use, it takes shorter and shorter to maintain my feet. So if you, like me, have dry feet, then I highly recommend that you try this Express Pedi Foot File along with the serum too. You won’t regret it. I know I am enjoying wearing sandals a little more this summer, knowing my feet are the softest and smoothest they’ve ever been.

WINTER CARE FOR HANDS, FEET AND NAILS

When the temperature drops during autumn and winter, so does the humidity in the air outside, while the indoor heating leaves the air drier, with the result that the skin on your body, including your hands and feet and not to mention your nails and hair, are often left dry, dehydrated and looking worse for wear. In a series of posts over the next few weeks I’ll give you my selections and suggestions of products that will help you keep your skin, nails and hair a little bit healthy this winter..

Let’s start with the hands, nails and feet..

Between having two dogs that both like to give me ‘kisses’ on my hands, and a baby with frequent nappy changes, I wash my hands a lot during the day, which in itself is enough to leave my hands and nails dry. But add to that a baby with a cold, and you’d need to wash your hands even more frequently not to spread the bacteria.

And the best way to care for dry, parched and chapped skin and nails, is simply to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise to replace any moisture that the skin is missing.

Dirty Works You Soft Touch Hand Cream*

Dirty Works You Soft Touch Hand Cream has a gorgeous but gentle floral scent and comes in such a cute retro style blue tube, and it is made with cocoa butter and jojoba oil to help nourish and smooth very dry hands. It is thick and creamy, yet it absorbs quickly into the hands leaving the silky soft for hours, even after you next wash your hands. And just $5.95 it is such a bargain too so you can afford to stock up and keep on your desk, in your car, and in your handbag...!
RRP: $5.95/100ml – Available from Coles

Molton Brown Desert Bloom Intense Hand Rescue*

This intense hand rescue is scented with myrrh, which to be quite honest, I cannot recall coming across before, and OMG , it smells absolutely aaaaahmazing, with its fresh fruity and floral scent, - it is so lovely that I cannot stop smelling my hands after use. It contains African desert plant extract helps to lock in moisture, candletree leaf extract to deeply moisturise and help fight UV induced age-spots, myrrh to help improve the appearance of skin and nails (plus add that gorgeous scent!), and shea butter to condition and repair dry and overexposed hands, nails and cuticles. It’s is thick and creamy, yet absorbs rapidly, and although it leaves a protective barrier on the skin, it is in no way greasy or stick, but rather it leaves my skin feeling every so soft and clearly so deeply hydrated, ready to face another cold winters day. This is the first product from Molton Brown I’ve ever tried, and I am so in love, that it definitely won’t be the last!
RRP: $50 (75ml) – Available from Molton Brown and David Jones

Orly Rich Renewal Pucker Ultra Hydrating Creme for Hands, Feet and Body*

This cream is a fantastic multi-tasking product suitable for both hands, feet and body, and it really is ultra hydrating thanks to containing shea and cocoa butter, aloe vera, vitamins E and A, to sooth, condition and revitalise and heal dry and chapped skin and protect it for the harsh and cold winter winds. And even though the cream is so thick, it is a non-greasy formula that is quickly absorbed into the skin, leaving behind a fresh and refreshing fruity scent of red grapefruit and papaya. And before you ask, the tube may be small for a body product, but it is seriously concentrated so it will dry areas such as elbows and knees back to being soft and subtle in no time.
RRP: $10.95 (60ml) – Available from Select Stockists

Lanolips Intense Rose Hand Balm*

This Intense Hand Balm from Lanolips is made from 98% natural ingredients and is free from parabens, petrolatum, mineral oils and sulfates. It is based on medical grade lanolin, with added shea butter, cocoa seed butter and wheat germ oil, as well as it has rose flower oil added to add a lovely and natural gentle rose fragrance. As you’d expect from an intense cream, it is very thick in consistency, and it consequently takes a little longer to absorb into the skin than a normal hand cream – but once it has, any signs of dry hands immediately disappear, and my hands are left incredibly soft, and surprisingly, also without feeling greasy, so it is as perfect for use during the day, as it is for applying just before bedtime for an intense treatment for hands and nails while you get some beauty sleep.
RRP: $15.95 (50ml) – Available from Adore Beauty, David Jones, Priceline and select pharmacies

And even though it will still be a while until you’ll get your tootsies into open-toed sandals again, don’t neglect your feet – if you look after them during winter, they will be ready for show at the first sign of spring.

Scholl Eulactol Heel Balm Gold*

If your feet are really suffering from neglect, and are rough and dry and your heels are cracked, you cannot go past the Scholl Eulactol Heel Balm Gold. The cream is thick, yet it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving the skin feel greasy, and using it twice a day, you start to see results already after a few days, and soon after your feet are feeling hydrated and soft again, with no cracks in sight. With limited time to file my feet, I really like that it works on its own, and so fast too. And once your baby soft feet have been restored, used just a few times a week, will ensure they stay that way. A pedicure in a tube. Simply too easy!

RRP: $13.49 (60ml) – Available from Supermarkets, Priceline and pharmacies

Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion*

Often foot creams are thick and leaves the feet feeling so greasy that you can only use it at night and with a pair of old socks on top. Not with this Peppermint Foot Lotion from Burt’s Bees. The lotion absorbs quickly into the feet without leaving them feeling greasy or tacky so you can get on with your day straight away. It contains among others menthol, witch hazel and peppermint and parsley oils which has a lovely cooling effect on the feet so perfect if you’ve been on your feet all day. It also contains ingredients to help odour at bay, so it's like a deodorant for the feet, yet it moisturises at the same time. And I love that it is made from 100% natural ingredients with absolutely no chemical nasties.
RRP: $24.95/100ml – Available from Department Stores, Priceline and select pharmacies

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Foot Cream*

I have long been a fan of the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream that I always use as a barrier cream to protect my hands when I am gardening or doing other hands-on work, such as moving house (which I am sadly very experienced at having moved twice already this year!!). And this Norwegian Formula Foot Cream doesn’t fail to impress either. The thick concentrated formula has pleasant gentle scent and instantly delivers long-lasting and intense moisture to dry feet and cracked heels, making them feel softer all day long. It has a slightly greasy formula, which makes it perfect to use before bedtime with an old pair of socks, but the effort is worth it as the next morning you wake to the softest and smoothest feet you’ve ever seen.
RRP: $7.99/56g – Available from Supermarkets, Priceline and select pharmacies

And while you’re giving your hand some moisture, don’t forget to also rub some into your cuticles and nails on both your hands and feet, as nails are also prone to being dry, breaking and flaking during winter.

Scout Cosmetics 5-Free Nail Polishes*

I admit it, I like dark clothes, and have A LOT of it. Many of them classic pieces that I use season after season and simply update with accessories. One of the things that is sure to brighten up a dull outfit, is some colourful nails, and the nail polishes Scout Cosmetics are a fantastic option. At the moment I am really loving these berry shades, including Walk of Life and Never Tear Us Apart, and you can never get too much of a classic French manicure using Just Like Heaven. They are not just  3-free like so many other nail polishes, they take it a step further and are 5-Free Nail Polishes containing no potentially harmful ingredients including Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor or Parabens.

Scout Cosmetics Nail Polish in Never Tear Us Apart

These days I rarely apply nail polish during the day when I am home alone with our little boy, as even when he is down for a nap, it would be my luck to just have applied nail polish for him to wake up needing a cuddle. But these polishes from Scout do make it possible as they are so quick and easy to apply streak-free and dry pretty quickly too. And the finish is salon quality with an amazing intense colour and high gloss, and by using the Scout Dual Top and Base Coat, you’ll not only get extra shiny nails, but also a good wear of 5+ days from your manicure.
RRP: $19.95 (12ml) – Available from Scout Cosmetics

So there you have it, these are my choices for keeping hands, feet and nails in top condition this winter…

Brand Focus: Burt’s Bees

As a fanatic beauty blogger I love it when I get the opportunity to trial new products, and I get excited and am very appreciative when products arrive at my doorstep, no matter if they are expensive or cheap – I do admit to having loving luxurious products, but in my everyday routine, I use just as many budget products! But every so often a parcel arrives that really takes my breath away, one where a lot of attention and thought have gone into – and last week I received one of the best put together parcels that I’ve received in a very very long time, this one from Burt’s Bees.

What was so amazing about this package was that the products arrived in a replica cardboard house of were Burt’s Bees started. The inside the box was full of detailed information about the products. The box also contained a booklet – well actually a little more than a booklet, as when I opened it, a video about Burt and how the company started, started playing inside the booklet. Amazing! Previously working as a marketing and brand manager, and being used to putting point-of-sale material together, I can only imagine the work, and not to mention cost, that has gone into producing this. I’m impressed.

The package also contained a USB cord, so you could connect the booklet so you computer and watch the video from there – or as I’ve done, put it into this post, so you can enjoy it too..

The box also contained some of Burt’s Bees classic products we well information cards about all the products. But before I start running you through the products, let me first quickly introduce you to Burt’s Bees;

Burt’s Bees was founded almost 30 years ago when a beekeeper was selling honey from the back of his truck, and he decided to use the leftover beeswax from the honey bees to make candles, and since then more products were quickly added to the product range.

All the products from Burt’s Bees are developed with the idea that ‘Nature knows best’ in mind, and consequently the ingredients used are all natural – 100% natural – which means that they of course are free from all the chemical nasties including phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or SLS.

Now let me get onto the classic Burt’s Bees products which were included in the box:

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
I honestly don’t know why I haven’t posted about this cuticle cream before. I have gone through several of these jars. I love it, so no complaints from me now having a backup! It not only has the most amazing zesty lemon scent – my favourite scent, but it is also so effective at keeping your cuticles soft and hence your nails looking nicer. The small tin looks tiny, but it is so concentrated, that it will last you forever. No wonder this product has won so many awards! RRP: $14.95 (17g)

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm - Tube and Tin

I have previously declared my love for Burt’s Bees Lip Balm in my Top 5 Favourite Lip Balms, but this tube with Vitamin E and Peppermint is new to me, and I already love it. And the tin is absolutely perfect for keep keeping at the bedside table. Can you believe it, but the tube of lip balm is so popular that a tube is sold every 2 seconds!! RRP: Tube: $7.95 (8.5g), Tube: $6.95 (4.25g)

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Crème

This foot crème is very thick, and does leave the feet feeling a little sticky, so it is definitely one of those products that are best used at night with a pair of old socks on top.  But it is totally worth it, as the next morning you wake with the softest feet ever. I am not the greatest fan of coconut scented products, but on my feet I can certainly accept it, especially when the results are this good. And the added peppermint has a nice cooling effect so perfect for tired legs too. RRP: $24.95 (123g)

Burt's Bees Hand Salve
This Hand Salve is thick and quite greasy, so it really is perfect for super dry and damaged hands, including after a day in the garden. It contains sweet almond oil, beeswax, vitamins and botanical oils to help deeply nourish the skin. It has a nice herbal scent, which lingers for quite a while, which I like as it is so natural. As it is greasy, it is not ideal for use during the day, but absolutely perfect just before going to bed. RRP: $24.95 (85g)

Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Cream
This hand cream is so much lighter than the Hand Salve, so it is better suited for use during the day as it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the hands feeling greasy. It contains shea butter, cocoa butter and sesame oil to help keep hands soft and moisturised. And thanks to the added essential oils, it has a light lovely natural scent, which does linger for a while. RRP: $29.95 (90g).

Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Crème
This hand cream is slightly thicker than the Shea Butter Hand Cream, but not as thick as the Hand Salve. The concentrated cream takes a little bit to absorb into the skin, but once it has, you can feel the goodness of the ingredients immediately. It contains among others beeswax, almond milk, and glycerin to soothe and relieve dry and cracked hands. Thanks to the almond milk, it has a really strong and sweet scent of almonds, which some may find a little sickening, but personally I think it is quite lovely. It comes in a super cute old style glass jar. RRP: $19.95 (57g)

Burt’s Bees products are available for purchase from David Jones, Myer, Priceline, Target, Selected Pharmacies and from Burt’s Bees Online

So there you have it, a selection of Time-tested Burt’s Bees Classics! If you haven’t already tried these products, I highly recommend that you do!

Product Review: Premium Spa SOS Foot Scrub & SOS Foot Balm

Right now my feet are very neglected. With a baby and no longer having as much time on my hands to pamper myself, the last thing on my list of to-dos is always my feet. And it shows. Unfortunately as it is now well into the season of having the tootsies out in open-toed shoes, and I cannot say that I’m fond of showing off my dry and scaly feet. It takes a fair bit of TLC to get my feet in to summer shape, so here are my thoughts on the *Premium Spa SOS Foot Scrub & SOS Foot Balm;

What They Say:
SOS Foot Scrub with lavender, pumice & peppermint:

A gentle, foaming scrub that invigorates and revives as it polishes away rough, dry skin using the natural exfoliants of walnut & white pumice. It then cleanses and purifies with organic Australian tea tree & eucalyptus.

SOS Foot Balm with rosemary, cocoa butter & citrus mint:
An invigorating blend of anti-bacterial Australian organic tea tree & eucalyptus combined with the soothing properties of peppermint & rosemary helps to calm, revive and add moisture to tired feet and ankles

RRP: Foot Scrub: $9.95/100ml, Foot Balm: $9.95/150ml – Available from Priceline, Big W and selected pharmacies

What I Say:
This is the first I have ever heard of the brand Premium Spa, but a little research revealed that the Australian brand was actually launched some 8 years ago, only it has now just been relaunched with new packaging and some new products as well.

My research also revealed that the Premium Spa products are all made in Australia from natural, locally grown ingredients, and contain NO nasties such as: SLS, mineral oils, detergents, artificial colours, synthetic fillers, or polybeads. Huge bonus points!

And add to that that the packaging is recyclable, and none of the products have been tested on animals!

The Premium Spa SOS Foot Scrub is a creamy scrub containing scrubbing particles made from white pumice, walnut shell, and sea minerals. It has just the right amount of scrubbing particles to slough away dry and dead skin and built up calluses, yet it is still so gentle on the skin. As recommended by Premium Spa, I soak my feet in warm water to soften the skin, which makes the whole scrubbing process so much easier.

The SOS Foot Scrub also contains lavender which has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, and peppermint to cool and refresh. It also contains bladderwrack (seaweed), which purifies and detoxifies, as well as certified organic Australian tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils, which are also both antiseptic.

The inclusion of these natural ingredients make the foot scrub smell amazingly refreshing, with the strongest scent coming through from the peppermint although you can also detect a smidge of lavender.

After use, my feet feel soft, and while it will take some more drastic measures to get my feet back to being baby soft, they are certainly softer and nicer looking than they have been for a very long time. And all without being dried out.

Yet I still follow with the Premium Spa SOS Foot Balm, which is thick and creamy. The Foot Balm contains among others rosemary, which is a natural anti-fungal and deodoriser, cocoa butter and jojoba oil for their moisturising properties, lavender for its calming and soothing anti-bacterial properties, Peppermint to cool and refresh and improve circulation, organic Australian tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils for their antiseptic properties and citrus mint to both cool and add a lovely scent to the balm. And the balm has an amazing natural scent of the combination of mint, peppermint and lavender.

Most foot creams that I’ve tried previously are extremely greasy, and you are forced to dedicate a pair of old socks when you use it, or you will be leaving greasy foot prints all over your house – but not the Premium Spa Foot Balm. Not only does it absorb into the skin instantly, it also leaves next to no greasy residue.

Both the Scrub and the Balm come in modern looking lime green tubes, with flip lids making them easy to use, and being see-through, you can see how much product you have left – not that you have to worry for a while, because both products are very concentrated, making them absolute bargain buys at just $9.95 each!

What I Like:
  • Both products are concentrated and effective
  • Contains natural ingredients and no harsh or nasty chemicals
  • Not tested on animals
  • Modern packaging, which is recyclable
  • Great budget price
  • Nice and natural scent

What I Don’t Like:
  • I really have no negatives about these products.

Overall I am very impressed with the quality and performance of these products from Premium Spa. At the low price of $9.95 each you could imagine the quality wouldn’t be that great, but the products really are premium, just as the brand name suggests. At this low price you can afford to use them frequently – and if you do, this power couple will help keep your feet looking good in sandals! I have no doubt that I will be repurchasing these again!
* Product was kindly provided for consideration, and has reviewed in accordance with my Disclosure Policy.

Have you tried any of the products from Premium Spa? How do you look after your feet? Do you ever give yourself a foot treatment? Which products do you recommend?

Product Review: Lust Have It – November Box

With a 5 month old baby, long trips to the shopping centre is no longer a reality, so this year I’ve been relying on the internet for some online shopping. Consequently I have quite a few Xmas pressies that I am now waiting for to be delivered. So I wasn’t surprised when the parcel postie rolled up this morning. But what I didn’t expect to find was this month’s November Lust Have It Box, so imagine my surprise when I spotted it there. Here are my thoughts of the contents of the November Lust Have It Box;

What They Say:
"Lust Have It boxes regularly contains products worth $60+ for only $19.95/month! Monthly box filled with 5 to 6 premium beauty samples. Delivered to your home or work each month for you to try."

RRP: Lust Have It Box (monthly) RRP: $19.95, Eco Box (quarterly) RRP: $29.95 – but read on to find out how to get a discount on your first box..
Available from Lust Have It

What I Say:
A few months ago, Lust Have It changed the look of their boxes, and I am pleased to see that this month’s box is still a box with a magnetic closure and the new white design with the blue, pink, orange and red water colour floral design.

For some reason this month’s box does not contain a card detailing the theme of the items in the box, or their value, but luckily I did manage to find all the details in this months’ online Lustre magazine, which is great as it saved me a lot of searching.

Anyway, here’s a rundown of the goodies in this months box:

Davroe Hair Wellness Colour Senses Ends Repair – Full size (RRP: $9.95/50m)

This is a leave-in hair treatment that helps strengthen the hair, and illuminate its colour. I’ve never tried any products from Davroe so I can’t wait to try this one. And I love the fact that the products are free from petrochemicals and parabens, and that it’s an Australian made and owned brand.

It also comes with an offer where if you purchase a Luxe Leave in Masque 200g from Davroe, you get a free Rebuilder Protein Reconstructor 50ml, valued at $14.95. And you also get a 20% discount voucher to use with your next order.

Aveda Botancal Kintics Purifying Gel Cleanser – Sample 7ml (RRP: $54.95/150ml)
This gel cleanser is intended for normal to oily skin types helping to remove impurities and normalise the skin, so this sounds just perfect for my skin type, and I can’t wait to try it.

Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Creme – Sample 7ml (RRP: $89.95/50ml)
Considering this cream is worth a whopping $89.95, this is a very generous sample size. The cream is intended for dry skin, and as I have combination skin, I am not quite sure how it will agree with my skin, especially not now it is summer and my skin tends to be greasier, but maybe it will be great come winter when my skin gets a little drier.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara – Sample 3g – (RRP: $38/8.5g)

I don’t think this mascara needs any introduction. I think the whole world knows about this wonder mascara that promises you so dramatically long eye lashes that everyone will think they are fake. I love this mascara and although I am already familiar with it, I love that it is included. It will certainly not go to waste. And actually to be honest, I much prefer mascaras in samples sizes over full sizes anyway, as they take so much less room in my makeup purse, and won’t hang around for ever either.

The box also included a special offer where you can get a complementary eye and brow make-upper at the Benefit Cosmetics counter at Myer. And if you purchase a Brow Arch Wax you will also receive a free brow tint.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub – Sample 15ml (RRP: $9.95/150ml)

This is a physical facial scrub that contains micro-fine cocoa beans. I have always loved the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter body products, especially while I was pregnant, they were amazing. But I’ve never tried so I do look forward to seeing how it preforms. At $9.95 for a full sized tube, it is certainly good value.

Lonvitalite C3 Red Wine Collagen Firming & Moisturising Facial Mask – One mask (RRP: $32/5 masks)

Currently breast feeding, it’s been forever since I last had even a sip of red wine, well over a year ago, since before I got pregnant. This red wine cloth mask may be the closest I’ll get for a while. It promises to seal in water in the skin, and improve skin lustre, fade wrinkles and promote regeneration of damaged cells. Sounds pretty good to me, now I just need hubby around so I can find the time to pamper myself!

Mary Kay Soothing Foot Balm – Full Size but part of pack – (RRP: $38 for a pack including Foot Soak, Foot Scrub, Foot Balm and Pumice Stone)

Summer has finally arrived, which means getting the tootsies into sandals. Finally. Sadly my feet are a little neglected and for some reason my feet always get horribly dry during summer, so this soothing foot balm will be very handy. It appears that the boxes contain any one of the foot products, but personally I am so happy to have received the balm.

Mary Kay Thinking of You Eau De Parfum – Card sample x 2 (RRP: $30/29.6ml)

I am not in love with these types of card samples as I can never seem to get enough out of it, but as I have never tried any fragrances from Mary Kay, so I look forward to trying these. And at least I got two samples, so there’s an extra opportunity to trial it!

Mary Kay Brow Definer Pencil – Full Size (RRP: $17/1,13g)

I have to be honest and admit that I don’t often define my brows. Suddenly having a baby that needs to be ready to get out the door too, means less time for me, a lot less time. But in saying that, I do like my brows defined, so this will be a useful on the days I do have time. I just have the worry that this is a black pencil, and although I have dark brows, they are not that dark, so I do worry that it may be a touch too dark, but time will tell.

Hello Fresh $30 voucher

This is an amazing concept where you can subscribe to meal boxes where there is everything you need to create the dinners for the recipes also created. You have the option of meals with meat, or alternatively a vegetarian option, and can choose if you want food for 2, 4 or 6 persons and also if you want meals for 3 or 5 times that week. With a baby I now always find that I am short of time to find new things to cook, and even worse go grocery shopping, so for me this is a brilliant option, and I will definitely try this out after Christmas. For more info, visit, Hello Fresh

As per previous boxes I love how the Lust Have It box contains a variety of different products, including both skincare, makeup and hair and body care. This month’s box includes three full sized products including the Mary Kay Brow Pencil, Mary Kay Foot Balm and Davroe Ends Repair, and the value of these far exceeds the cost of the box. In addition it also contains the Longvitalite cloth mask and the deluxe samples of the Benefit They’re Real Mascara, and as a bonus also samples of Mary Kay Perfume, Aveda cleanser and cream, and Palmers Face Scrub.

Overall, I love the selection this month, and I will start using the foot balm and hair treatment straight away. I am loving the inclusion of the Benefit mascara, as although I do have a full sized one, a back is always handy, and the brow pencil will certainly be useful at some stage too. So all in all, I am yet again impressed with not only the selection of product, but also the value for money of this box. Well done Lust Have It!
