PRODUCT REVIEW: LUST HAVE IT - AUGUST 2016

Today, the 26th August the August Lust Have It Box arrived, so nice to see it arrive in the relevant month, and this is what was inside and my thoughts... 
 

Not surprising, this months contents again arrived in a pink mesh bag - ask me and it is now time or a change..

 
Baimeni Eye & Face Serum With Hyaluronic Acid - Sample Size ($25 / 30ml)

This is serum claims to help control the excess oil that causes acne, so it is absolutely perfect for my skin at the moment as I've had a larger number of bad breakouts than usual, so I look forward to putting this one to the test. I am also excited about trying a new brand as I've never heard of Baimeni before. I also love the fact that it is an Australian brand with products made locally. Unfortunately it was claimed on the card that the enclosed sample was full size with a value of $25, but sadly not quite true as according to the brands website, you can purchase a 30ml bottle for $25! But should still be able to try a few times with the small sample.

 
Mystery Item picked by Lust Have It - The Cosmetic Kitchen Peppermint Foot Mask - Full Size (RRP: ?) I have received a few products from the Cosmetic Kitchen in previous subscription boxes, but those being mainly facemasks. I do like the idea of this peppermint mask, and must try to find the needed time to try it out, as it will sure do my neglected feet a world of good.

 
OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick - Full Size (RRP: $27)

I've tried a few items from OFRA previously and liked them all, so happy to see this liquid lipstick included, and particularly as I got a shade that I really like, a dark taupe shade Mocha. It claims to moisturise the lips and give full colour that is long lasting, which all sounds pretty good to me.

 
GOSH! Mineral Colour Pigments - Full Size ($14 / 4ml)

Last month I was excited receiving an eye shadow quad from a brand that comes from my home country of Denmark, but sad that it was in shades that were out of my comfort zone - so I am happy that this months lose colour pigments from GOSH! Are in a shade called Pink Melon, a pink shade that will be perfect to use with a taupe, brown or grey shade. And while lose pigments are not usually preference as I do find them a little messy, I do look forward to trying this one out.

 
Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo - Full Size (RRP: $28)

I have previously tried Manna Kadar from a previous subscription box, but again, as I was impressed with the quality, I am happy to receive this Bronzer and Highlighter. The little round compact features a shimmery bronzer and highlighter, in a shade that is just right for my skin. I generally do prefer non-shimmery bronzers, but as I really have nothing but matte ones, this makes for a refreshing change. I look forward to trying this one out.

 
So there you go, the August edition of Lust Have It. Overall I am quite impressed with the contents this month, and as I am actually going to use every single product this month, it is really good value for money too, - a very nice change from the previous month where being so conservative as to the makeup colours that I wear, has meant that there has been several of the items that I've not been able to use. Like the last couple of months, the products this month came in a plain, foldable plain gift box, this month in a silver box, and this is what was in the box;


Teeez Trend Cosmetics Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Classy Caramel – Full Size (RRP: $35.00)

I ready got one of these lipsticks from another beauty box last year, so as such it is not a new item for me. But in saying that, I did get a different shade, this one a warm deep orangy red shade, which is quite lovely. The lipsticks claims to nourish, hydrate and repair cracked or dry lips, and it does indeed feel very lovely on the lips. I look forward to using this one!


NAK Thermal Shield – Full Size (RRP: $25.95/150g)

This spray is designed to help weatherproof the hair and protect it from harsh styling and thermal heat, making it less prone to frizz and damage. This sounds great, only I rarely heat style my hair, let along hair dry it, sadly with a newborn and a toddler that becomes a thing of luxury, only possible for special occasions – but I’ll certainly look forward to trying it out! Chapstick Hydration Lock – Full Size (RRP: $4.95/4.4g)

This is a dual-ended lipbalm that has a hydration part in the one end and in the other a part that locks in the moisture for up to 8 hours. My husband is addicted to Chapsticks, and never leaves the house without his trusted lipbalm in his pocket –he can even be 30mins away from home and he will either turn around to go home and get it if he has forgotten it, or stop at the nearest chemist to get a new one, so I think this one will be passed on to him, with the argument that if you apply before you leave home, you should more or less be able to make it home from work again before you’d need to apply again. Brilliant ideal Chapstick!



The Cosmetic Kitchen Peppermint Foot Mask – Full Size (RRP: $24.95/50g)

I’ve tried a few other products from the Cosmetic Kitchen thanks to being included in beauty boxes, but luckily I haven’t yet tried this foot mask. It contains peppermint and tea tree and promises to ‘say goodbye to sad winter toes’. Sounds pretty good to me, after being pregnant and not able to reach my feet, my feet are a tad neglected, only issue is finding the time – but when the day comes, I’ll look forward to trying it.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Wake Up Body Scrub – Full Size (RRP: $29.95/60g)

Another product from the brand that I’m yet to try. This body scrub contains raw sugar, coffee and alkalising salts, pink organic clay and essential oils, to help slug away dead skin cells. As a coffee lover, this sounds pretty good to me, so another product I’ll look forward to testing out!

So there you are, the contents in the June Lust Have It box. It contains a total of 5 products, of which are full-sized, which is pretty impressive, - and hence so is the total value of the products which comes to $117 – not bad for a $20 box!!

Overall I am quite happy and impressed with both the value and the selection of products this month, even if I feel I haven't really got the time to lock myself in the bathroom and pamper myself with the body scrub and foot mask, or have time to style my hair, and passing on the Chapstick to my husband, all there is left is the Teeez Lipstick – but that is not Lust Have It’s fault – and hopefully that will change as my boys grow older! And even so, the Teeez lipstick still has a higher value than the cost of the box!

If I have to be negative, it is that there are two products from The Cosmetic Kitchen,and for the sake of variety and surprise factor too, I would have loved if one of the products had been replaced by a product from another brand.But overall, well done Lust Have It, I cannot wait to see what you’ve got in store for next month!

PRODUCT REVIEW: VIOLET BOX JANUARY 2015

My Violet Box for January 2015 arrived yesterday the 4^th February, but sadly I didn’t have the time to go collect it from my PO Box, so I had to wait until today.



 I have been sent this box for PR consideration, so I really shouldn’t complain, but if I had been a paid subscriber I wouldn’t be too impressed that the January box arrives a week into the New Year.  I know that January can be a ‘short working month’ when you take the Xmas break, Australia Day etc into consideration, but really that is no excuse!! Anyway, that was just my thoughts, and I just hope that paying subscribers have also received their boxes by now, and that Violet Box manages to catch up so that the February boxes actually will be dispatched and received within the month of February too! Anyway, here are my thoughts on this month’s box;

What I Say:

This month the Violet Box comes in a newly designed box, in the slide-out the sign, with black base, and a white lid with a pretty floral water-colour print. So this also means a new design compared to the previous matte black box with the magnetic closure. Personally I prefer the magnetic closing boxes as it makes it easier for use for other things such as small little knickknacks, but on the other hand, I have so many of those boxes by now that I honestly don’t need any more!!!

But this is what was in the January Violet Box…

 

Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel – Sample Size, 5ml (RRP: $67/50ml)

 

This is apparently not a mask, you are supposed to cleanse the skin and leave it slightly damp and them spread the gel thinly over the face. Hereafter massage the gel into the skin with circular motions with damp hands until solids are forming under the finger tips and the mask is activating. Massage for a further 2-3 minutes before rinsing off. This sounds very interesting, so I cannot wait to put this to the test. I only with the sample had been a little bigger so there would have been a few more goes in it!

Lonvitalite 24K Active Gold Yulan Eye Mask – Sample, one mask (RRP: $25.95/5 masks)

Like most others I have tried and really love the Lonvitalite cloth face masks but never tried the eye maskes. Being pregnant, and having a toddler that wakes a few times during the night, does mean that I’ve got times I’m feeling a little drained, which shows on the growing bags under my eyes, so I cannot wait to put this to the test, as it promises to help increase the blood circulation, remove dark circles and bags under the eyes.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Raw Chocolate Clay Mask- Full Size (RRP: $24.95/50g)

This is a very interesting mask. It only contains Pink Australian Clay and Raw Cocoa Powder, and you need to mix it with mashed avocado and olive or jojoba oil, or alternatively you can just use water, mixing it into a paste and leaving on the skin for 2-5 minutes for a radiant glow. Unfortunately I already received one of those in another box in December so the novelty is not really there, and I have already tried it out. In saying that, I do like that it is so natural, so it certainly won’t go astray. And I can also tell you that it is a little messy, and as you only need to use about a teaspoon-full of the powder for one application, there is sufficient powder in the bag for heaps of applications, so I would have liked to see it in a re-sealable bag, or even better in a small jar.

Emite Make Up Precision Eye Pencil –Full Size (RRP: $24.95)

 

I have never heard of this brand before, so that excites me as it is always great to try out new brands. This eye pencil in the shade Spir is a cream shade, and it is quite pigmented and also very soft so it will be perfect to use on the waterline to make your eyes appear to be whiter and brighter. I am almost running out of my current one, so happy to see a new replacement so cannot wait to put it to the test.

Mellow Cosmetics Blush – Full Size (RRP: $14/5g)

 

Another brand I’ve never heard of before, YAY! This blush has a lovely pink colour and goes on quite sheer, although is still buildable.  It is silky soft and goes on matte. I love the colour, so I cannot wait to try this one out, so overall a great addition to the box.

So there you go, this month’s contents. Overall It comes with a nice variety of products from a face mask, eye mask, peel, blush and eyeliner. It contains three full sized products, as well as the peel sample and the eye mask sample (as it is otherwise sold in packs of 5). The full sized products alone have a value of $64, so in that respect it is certainly value for money, again just a shame that I’ve already receive the Chocolate Clay mask in another box previously so it doesn’t excite me. In saying that, I will make use of all the products, the blush is a shade I’d normally buy and use, I was in need of a nude eye liner, and the peel, eye mask and also the clay mask will also all be used over time.

My Lust Have It for December arrived on the 24rd of December, so just in perfect timing for Christmas. Fingers crossed that everyone else got theirs in time too! And again, I am very pleased to see that Lust Have it Have managed to stay on top of previous delays, and getting boxes out in time, even in spite of Christmas. Here’s my thoughts on this month’s box;

Inika Pure Primer - 30ml Deluxe Sample (RRP: $60/50ml)

I have only tried a few products from Inika, but those I have, have been amazing, so I can’t wait to try this primer. I love that it is made from 81% certified organic ingredients. It helps provide the perfect canvas for foundation and helps improve the staying power of makeup. So with the warmer weather and the festivities of the silly season too, it is perfect timing. I love that it is such a generous sample too!



The Cosmetic Kitchen Raw Chocolate Bath Salts – Full Size (RRP: $18.50)

I don’t have a bath, so unfortunately I cannot make use of these bath salts, no matter how delicious they sound. They contain raw cocoa that is said to block free radicals and help detoxify and heal the skin.



Lonvitalite C1 Facial Mask – Full Size (RRP: $9.95)

As most others, I really like the Lonvitalite masks, and how they make my skin feel after use. The C1 mask claims to help with whitening, pigment toning and moisturising the skin, all while helping to keep the skin hydrated and soft. I hope I can find some ‘me-time’ during the holidays to close the door and relax with a mask!



Designer Brands Extend A Brow – Full Size (RRP: $12.99)

This is one of those products that contain little fibres that you brush onto your brows to create a fuller and thicker brow and hence a more defined look. I have tried this type of products on my lashes, and didn’t particularly like it as I felt I got flakes in my eyes, which irritated them, but in saying that, it may be completely different when used on the brows. I hope so, as my brows are the victims of serious over-plucking decades ago, and have never really fully grown out, and I would them slightly thicker.

I also like that it contains skincare products to help get your skin ready for the festive season – or maybe help it recover afterwards, LOL. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make use of the bath salts, but I do look forward to trying the other products, especially the Inkia Primer, which is what I am most excited about, although I also like the inclusion of the Lonvitalite Mask and the Cosmetic Kitchen Clay Mask, and I am also very curious to see how the Designer Brands Extend a Brow performs. In terms of value, the products have a combined value of over $100, which is pretty impressive considering the box only costs $19.95 (or just $14.95 if you subscribe using my unique code LIFESTYLE at the checkout on the Lush Have It website). PRODUCT REVIEW: LUST HAVE IT NOVEMBER 2014

As all subscribers would know, the October edition of Lust Have It arrive rather late, in my case on Friday the 7th November - just over two weeks ago. At the time of writing about that box, I also mentioned that the November really should arrive at my doorstep within the next 10 days to be back on track. Well, it didn’t quite make that, but I am pleased to say that it has actually arrived in the the relevant month this month, and thus Lust Have It seems to have caught up with delays again. What I Say:

As per previous months, this month the goodies again arrived in a pink see-through mesh bag. I am starting to have quite a few of these floating around, and while they are handy to store things in, I am starting to feel they are a little wasted. I guess essentially I’d rather the items simply come in a padded envelope and instead of the mesh cosmetic bag there would be an additional sample.. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Anyway, these are the products in bag this month;

 Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel – Full Sized (RRP: $6.15/30g)

Paw Paw has many benefits including being useful for sunburn, relieve dry skin, rashes and minor burns. And of course, it Is perfect to keep your lips soft too. I currently use paw paw on my little boys chin as a barrier cream to protect against dribble rash, so this backup tube will come in handy. It doesn’t help 100%, but nothing sadly seems to, not even prescription creams, - and at least I know this is natural and free from nasty ingredients.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Pressed Mineral Blush in Sherbert – Full Size (RRPP: $34.95/8g)

This is a mineral blush that has added jojoba oil to moisturise, and herbal extracts to care for the skin. The colour Sherbert is a lovely peachy-pink shade that is very wearable, so I look forward to testing this one out. A great, and welcome addition to this month’s box!


Essenzza Fuss Free Natural Japanese Facial Treatment Masks x 2 (RRP: $4.95 each)

These are cloth masks, and I got two anti-ageing and antioxidant masks with Moroccan argan oil and vitamin C, intended to help slow the ageing process and leave the skin looking brighter. I love cloth masks as they are fuss free to use, and these sound pretty good too, especially as they contain natural ingredients and are free from parabens and sulphates. Now only problem when you have a small toddler is to find time to relax for the recommended 20-30 minutes. 

Aveda Color Conserve Daily Colour Protect – Sample Size, 10ml (RRP: $49.95/100g)


 

This leave-in treatment made from 93% natural ingredient promises to help maintain hair colour for up to six weeks. This sounds pretty good to me, although it has been a while since I had my hair coloured, I do look forward to trying it out. And as I generally use leave-in treatments after each hair wash, I don’t mind this sample either. My only objection is the size of the sample, which again typical for Aveda is sadly very small, and it hardly contains sufficient product for one use for my very long and thick hair!



So Susan Intense Water Based Pure Luminiser - Full sized (RRP: $35)

This luminiser is infused with micronized pearlescent pigments and can be used as a highlighter on cheekbones and brow bones. I can also imagine that adding a tiny drop to your matte foundation would give a nice slow to the whole face. I do look forward to trying this out as it does give a nice sheen that is subtle and not too over the top.


So that’s it, the November Lust Have It Box. As you may recall, I have not been too impressed with the last few month’s boxes but at least t I feel that this one is an improvement as I do like the inclusion of particularly the Cosmetic Kitchen Blush and the Fuss Free Facials Masks, and well as the Natralus Paw Paw and the So Susan Luminiser won’t go to waste either.

Value wise the box has a combined value of over $90, so again, it is value for money, especially if you are actually going to use all the products! So well done to Lust Have It, - the contents doesn’t leave me squealing with excitement, but I am certainly happier with this month’s contents, a huge improvement over the last few months, so one can only hope that Lust Have It can continue on this path in the coming months.

As per pervious months, this month the goodies again arrived in a pink see-through mesh bag. Unfortunately it didn’t contain the information card, which I always find extremely useful, so I do miss having it. Anyway, these are the products in bag; 


Glam Manicare Express 3 in 1 – Full Size


 

This is a nail art pen that as well as containing a glittery gold nail polish, also contains some large silver and gold glittery flecks as well as 10 different stencils. I am not personally fond of the gold shade or the glittery, but I do love the stencils, so I will definitely have to try them out. But in general this is such a great idea for clumsy girls like me that has absolutely no idea when it comes to nail art!




ModelCo Lip lacquer Liquid Lipstick in Fire Red – Full Size
 

 

 

 

This is a combination of a lipstick and a lipgloss. It has some serious pigmentation packing a big punch with its bright red shade, yet it is lovely and glossy. And it has a gorgeous fruity scent too. I am not normally wearing such bright shades, but I have already tried it out, and love it. And I love that it really does have a long wear, and when it starts to fade, it still leaves a nice red stain behind on the lips. And if you don’t want the intense colour, you can also just dab it on for a nice stained look.

Urban Skincare Co – Repair + Body Balm – Sample Size, 35ml

 

A new brand I have never heard of before, and it is Australian made and owned, which I always love. YAY! This body balm contains minerals of calsium and magnesium and enriching coriander oil and smells absolutely divine. It has a lovely light consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it feeling velvety smooth and soft.

There was also a card included giving you free shipping and 20% of your next order, and I am so in love with that cream that I can definitely see myself checking that out…

 

The Cosmetic Kitchen Macadamia Wax Crème Highlighter – Full Size

This highlighter comes in the shape of a lipgloss, even with the angled opening to make applying easier. It is slightly thick, yet it does blend out nice and evenly, leaving a nice and subtle sheen on the skin. My only issue is that the slightly gold shade could have been a little lighter to match my skin tone, but give it a month or so, and I will probably start having a bit of a summer than, so it should be fine. I look forward to testing this one out!

 

Uriage Soap-Free wash for Sensitive Skin for Face and Body – Sample Size, 8ml

I have not tried many products from Uriage so I do look forward to trying out this cleanser, even in spite of not having sensitive skin, so it doesn’t really match my skin type. My only issue is that the sample is so small, if you are supposed to also be able to use it on your body, you can hardly wash yourself with it, that’s how small it is.

The samples include Exfoliating Cream Facial Scrub, Instant Miracle Booster Skin Brightening & Firming Serum, Double Sided Facial Wipes, and Soothing Moisturiser Day & Night. I am generally a little over sachet samples, and would naturally have preferred to see a larger sample or two, so you can try the products for a few go’s, but on the other hand, guess the sachet samples allow you try a few more of the new products. Regardless, I do look forward to trying out these out.

So there you go, the contents in the September issue. Overall, I am sadly not extremely impressed. I do like the inclusion of in particular the ModelCo Lip Lacquer and understand that regular subscrbers have been able to pick their preferred shade, which certainly is a great bonus. Also I like the Body Balm from Urban Skincare Co., but sadly other than that, I am a little underwhelmed with the other products, although in terms of value it still makes up for the $20 spend. Fingers crossed next month’s box will make up for it.

What I Say: 
Last month’s box arrived in a clear makeup bag, and I was under the impression that would be the new style for a while, but obviously not, as this month’s box arrived in a plain black postage box! I am really not complaining or too fussed about this as I have so many of those boxes floating around now – but Lust Have It must have felt bad about it, as they had enclosed a card saying that the cosmetic bags are still on the way to them, and they didn’t want to delay the boxes so ‘in place of the new packaging , they’ve included a $20 gift voucher for you to redeem against any of their subscription boxes other than the women’s box, or on the Chloe Morello and Bridal Boxes, where you may actually use it once time on each of those products if you like….’ Big tick of approval Lust Have It, that is a lovely gesture, turning a delay into something nice!

Back again....So this is what was in the May Lust Have It Box..

 

Mary Kay Lip Lacquer in Pink Pagoda – Full Size (RRP $22/4g)

This lip lacquer promises intense high shine lips with a smooth jelly finish and a stay-true colour. It also promises to moisture the lips, and stay put. I really like Mary Kay products (and recently went to one of their product launches which you can read all about here), so I am quite excited about this lip lacquer, and I love the little retractable lip brush that comes with it. The Pink Pagoda is a bright Fuchsia shade, and it is a little on the bright and bold side for me, but it is good to be pushed out of your comfort zone from time to time!

 

Coral Colour Eyebrow Definer Pencil in Dark Brown – Full Size (RRP: $7.95)

I know what a difference it does when I do my eye brows, but when I am in a hurry, it is the last thing on my mind – but I do like the sound of this, as it promises to blend easily and be long lasting too, so I look forward to testing it out.



Appelles Rosemary Body Bar – Full Size (RRP: $4.95/100g)

I have to be honest and admit that I am not the biggest fan of soap bars – I simply find them messy after a while and hence much prefer liquid soap. But this soap does smell quite nice, supposedly of rosemary, although I detect a bit of a citrusy scent too. And I love that it is made with certified organic ingredients that promises to cleanse the skin without drying or stripping the skin, while helping to reduce epidermal stress – so I may just have to put this one to the test.



The Cosmetic Kitchen Pure Mineral Blush in Strawberry – Full Size (RRP: $34.95/6g)

I have really taken a liking to mineral makeup lately, so I applaud the inclusion of this full sized one from the Cosmetic Kitchen. I love that it is highly pigmented, and talc and bismuth free. I got the colour strawberry which is a lovely dusty rose shade, which is really wearable, so I cannot wait to try this one out. My only criticism is that the jar is difficult to open, and as loose minerals can be rather messy, it can easily turn into a right mess trying to get the lid off!

 

Sasy n Savy Vitamin Enriched Facial Recovery Masque – Sample, 20ml (RRP: $50/100ml)

This mask is intended for normal to oily skin types and claims to deep cleanse and draw out impurities, and as I’ve had a few breakouts lately, this is perfect timing, and perfectly suited to my skin. And such a nice change to get a treatment product than a moisturiser suited for dry skin that I am unable to use, so I cannot wait to give myself a mini facial testing out this mask!


So there you have it, these are the goodies in the May Lust Have It Box, and I am quite happy with the contents, as I will actually be using every single product, although the soap bar doesn’t excite me that much, but as that is also the cheapest item, it doesn’t bother me too much! I in particularly really like the inclusion of the full sized Mary Kay Lip Lacquer and the Cosmetic Kitchen blush, as well as the Sasy n Savy mask – so all in all, I find that this is a great box, which is well worth its value.

Product Review: Lust Have It – February 2014 Box

As I write this, It hasn't even been two weeks since I received the January Lust Have It Box, which was rather delayed, so it is lovely to see that Lust Have It is back on track as I received the February Box yesterday (the 25^th Feb)…well as I write this… currently living in a holiday house with very limited internet access, and very limited options of taking product photos, so hence there reason for the delayed posting about this. Anyway, here are my thoughts on the Lust Have It – February  2014 Box;

What I Say:

The Lust Have It Boxes normally come in a white box with water-paint style pattern in bright pink, purple and blue splashes of colour. This month, Lust Have It included a note saying that they are redesigning the boxes, and the new ones will be available for the April box, and consequently the February and March boxes will be in a simple postal box. And while I do – or have so far, kept the majority of the boxes for storage of other things, I really don’t mind, as in the end of the day, it is the contents that matters!

The note also said that Lust Have It is starting a new ‘Beauty Dip’ , where 1000 lucky subscribers will this month will receive a So…? Perfume gift….. and YAY, I was one of the lucky ones – thanks so much Lust Have It!!

So anyway, this is exactly what my February box contained;

So…? Kiss Me Eau De Toilette – 10ml sample

I have never tried any of the So…? Perfumes before, but this is perfume which is fruity yet spicy at the same time, smells lovely, so I will enjoy using this.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive – Sample 7ml (RRP: $65/60ml)

Lust Have It already told in last month’s box that this would be included in this month’s box, so it is obviously not a surprise, and I have been looking so forward as it has been on my wish list for a while. The peel claims to exfoliate and refine skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and lighten hyperpigmentation. Sounds amazing to me, so I cannot wait to put it to the test.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Eyeshadow – Full Size (RRP: $22.50/2g)

This Eyeshadow is made from 100% talc free minerals and is certified cruelty free and certified vegan. I got the colour Raspberry Cooley, which in the pot is a bright fuchsia pink shade, but luckily it can blend out really well to a lovely subtle shade, so while I am not usually one to wear pink Eyeshadow, I may actually get some wear out of this one.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Blush Selection – Full Size (RRP:$22.50)

I love good brushes, and in my opinion you can never have too many, so love the inclusion of this full sized brush.  By the sound of it, the boxes will contain varying brushes from either their Eco Bamboo or Original ranges – and by the looks of it, I got one from the Eco Bamboo range as it has a timber (bamboo?) shaft. It is a powder brush, and it is so incredibly soft. And I love that it has a little sleeve to protect the hairs on the brush, wish all brushes came with that. A great addition to the box.

Vaseline Ultimate 10 Anti Ageing Body Lotion – Sample Size 25ml (RRP: $16.29/750ml)

I had heard about this body lotion, and have had it on my wish list to try, but have a handful of other body lotions that I really needed to use up first before buying a new one… but  I am loving the inclusion of this, as this way I can actually try it before buying it. But I love that it contains AHA, pro-retinol and vitamin E to help restore the skin and leave it smoother and younger looking. Just what my skin needs, so fingers crossed it works. And the small sample sized bottle is so cute too!

Clairol Professional Color Radiance Shampoo – Sample Size 50ml (RRP: $13.95/250ml)

I had my hair coloured just before Xmas, so this is just perfect for my hair, protecting the hair from fading. The sample is a generous 50ml, so there is sufficient for quite a few goes, which is great, and it is lovely to see such a generous size included, as a sachet sample with only enough product for one wash, is really not enough for you to get an idea of how the product works for you. In saying that, I do prefer to use shampoo and conditioner from the same range, so I would have loved to see the inclusion of the conditioner as well, but I am sure I can find use for this, when I for instance use a deep treatment.

Clairol Professional Expand Volume Mousse – Sample Size 50ml (RRP: $19.95/250ml)

This mousse promises to double fullness and volume in the hair at the roots lasting for 24 hours. Having long and thick hair, it is consequently also very heavy, so any volume products usually never work in my hair, and I therefore stopped using them, but I do look forward to testing it out to see if it lives up to its claims.

Hand Spa Bijoux Hand Wipe – Full Size (RRP: $1.50/1 wipe)

This is hand wipe contains among others hyaluronic acid, royal jelly and soy bean extract to provide hands with a deep nourishing and moisturising effect. This is an interesting concept, as it really acts as a hand cream, only that first have to unwrap the wipe, and then throw it away afterwards. In my opinion a little cumbersome, so before even before trying it out, my first impressions is that I’d much prefer even the smallest tube of hand cream.

Finally, the box also came with a discount card to buy one Harvest Box and get another one for free. I have heard about these custom made healthy snack boxes, and think it is a great idea that you can get them posted to you every couple of days, for instance at work, so you resist the temptation of using the vending machine for chocolate fix. In saying that, I do find the normal price of $7.99 a little expensive, and I generally buy my nuts and dried fruit from the ‘nut place’ at the shopping centre, or alternatively in the supermarket when I do my weekly grocery shopping, and thinks it works out so much more economical – but hey, the convenience of this is great, I just don’t think I’ll make use of the offer.

So there you have it, the contents in the February Lust Have It Box. And yet again, I am quite impressed with the contents, mainly due to the Juice Beauty Peel, the Cosmetic Kitchen Brush and Eye Shadow, the So…Perfume and the Vaseline Moisturiser, all of which are products that I am very keen to test out. Again, I was lucky to also get the perfume sample, and it does obviously add some value to the box, but even without it, I still feel it is well worth its money – but of course I do feel lucky to, well be one of the lucky ones to get one. And I really do like the concept of the Beauty Dip, although it you continuously miss out month after month, you may start to feel differently, but only time will tell.

I also like that Lust Have It is so good with their communication and constantly inform subscribers of what’s happening, such as with the new box designs coming up, and I do like it when they include a sneak peak into what will be in store for next month’s box, but unfortunately that wasn’t included in this month’s box, but maybe if you stalk their facebook page, they have been known to post teasers there as well.
