PRODUCT REVIEW: SUPER EFFICIENT AND LUXE ANTIAGEING PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORK FROM REVISION SKINCARE

Today I am excited to talk about a skincare brand that is totally new to me, Revision Skincare..

Revision Skincare has however been around for over 30 years. The clinically-proven cosmeceutical range is designed by scientists, using pure and efficient and powerful ingredients, formulated to provide optimum results with targeted solutions for enhancing skin’s appearance and reducing signs of ageing. I’ve put a few of their products to the test;

  • Revision Skincare C+ Correcting Complex 30%*
  • Revision Skincare DEJ Night Face Cream*
  • Revision Skincare Nectifirm® Advanced*

The Revision Skincare C+ Correcting Complex 30% is serum that can be used twice daily on clean skin, prior to your usual moisturiser. It has a light lotion consistency and absorbs easily into the skin.

It has a very high concentration, 30% of THD Ascorbic, which is the most stable form of Vitamin C available, anti is designed to help brighten the skin, and prevail any UV damage including dark sun spots, pigmentation and redness, for a skin that is more refined with reduced fine lines and wrinkles and even in tone and thus looking more youthful.

In addition, it also has a patent-pending MelaPATH™ technology that illuminates, refines, and rejuvenates, and fight free radical damage caused by blue light from electronic devices, while also supporting the skin’s natural production of Vitamins C and E.

I love how this complex is oil free and absorbs so quickly into my skin without any stickiness, as well as it is not causing any irritation, or congestion to my breakout prone skin. And within just a few days of using this, I started noticing my skin clearly looking more clarified and brighter, and little by little areas of pigmentation and redness, along with dark mark from previous breakouts, reduced in appearance too, and my skin overall looking more radiant and simply glowing and healthy. This serum is not cheap, but the smallest pump is more than sufficient to cover the full face, and as you really do start to notice results quickly, it is well worth it.

The Revision Skincare DEJ Night Face Cream is an intensive night cream made with time-released 0.25% Retinol combined with Bakuchiol and utilising pioneering Pathway Technology inspired by the Dermal-Epidermal Junction (DEJ) as well as the skin’s own Microbiome to address visible signs of ageing. Overall, it helps skin appear firmer and more lifted with the look of fine lines and wrinkles reduced, with texture and pores improved too. The cream also contains vitamin C (THD Ascorbate) to brighten dull skin, Coenzyme Q10, Rosemary Extract and Goji Fruit Extract to add antioxidants, Oligosaccharide to enhance the skin’s natural ability to balance and diversify the skin’s own Microbiome, Astragalus Extract to add hydration. The Retinol comes in a time-released, microencapsulated for maximum effect with reduced chance of irritation, while the added Bakuchiol helps boost the effect of the retinol.

With my breakout prone skin, rich anti-ageing creams are not usually ideal for my skin, often causing congestion and breakouts, so I love that this one is quite light. The cream is to be used night only, as retinol makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight, and used after cleaning and serums. It is quite concentrated, and only a little is needed. It takes a few moments to absorb, but personally I don’t mind as I am going straight to bed anyway. In the morning, I like that I do not wake with a skin that is feeling or looking greasy, so for my skin, it is perfect, but it would also mean that if you have drier skin types, it may not offer sufficient hydration.

Although this doesn’t have quite as high strength as previous products I’ve used, I am still loving this one as it is clearly still. Very effective, leaving my skin more looking more even with reduced pigmentation and with my skin appearing more plumb and therefore fine lines and wrinkles looking less visible. I’ve also found that it has helped reduce the greasiness in my skin, as well as my breakouts, yet without drying out or irritating my skin, but leaving it feeling softer and smoother.

Finally, there’s the Revision Skincare Nectifirm® Advanced, which is an anti-ageing cream designed for the neck and décolleté. I was very excited about this one, as no denying that I’ve definitely been neglecting looking after the neck and décolleté in my younger years, so now keen to make up for it.

The cream helps fight the visible signs of moderate to advanced ageing, thanks to eight powerful peptides, Microbiome and Smart Antioxidant Technology, along with among others algae extract, ceramides, and Vitamins C and E. It promises to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, slackened skin and creepiness, enhance water retention, retain moisture and tone and reduce skin dryness, for a skin that is firmer and more lifted, brighter and more even toned.

The cream is to be used twice daily, and is rich, but without being too thick, and it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it incredibly soft and smooth, and without any greasiness.

I love how this cream makes the skin on my neck and décolleté feels softer and smoother as well as looks more plump, and consequently, the appearance of lines and wrinkles really have reduced in appearance. I also feel that the pigmentation and sun spots on the area, has reduced, and the skin overall appearing brighter and more even toned. I’m impressed.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with these products. They are not the cheapest, but they are every bit as luxe as their stunning black jars and bottles, and they really do live up to their promises and deliver results in a short period of time, yet still gentle and suitable for even sensitive skin types. I also love the fact that they are made without oils, alcohol, parabens, artificial dyes or fragrances, and of course cruelty free too.

I’ll be sad the day I run out of these, and now also very keen on exploring more of their range, especially their full strength Retinol Complete™ 1.0%, Enzyme Cleanser, Microdermabrasion Scrub, Black Mask and Intellishade® Matte Tinted Moisturiser, all of which sounds absolutely incredible too!
