OLE HENRIKSEN BERRY NURTURING GEL MASK, NURTURE ME CREME AND PURE NURTURE FACIAL WATER // PRODUCT REVIEW

Today I am going to talk about a Danish brand, which of course, being Danish myself, excites me. I am of course talking about none other than Ole Henriksen. I have been a long time fan, and loved the previous products that I’ve tried from his range, and I’ve even got one of his beauty books (in Danish of course)!

The Ole Henriksen products have been around since the late 1980 and built on the product philosophy of exfoliate, treat and soothe. The products are made using powerful actives, natural botanicals and essential fatty acids to address various skin concerns.

But let’s talk about some of the Ole Henriksen Nurture products, which are designed for dry and sensitive skin types in mind..

The Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Moisturising Creme is a rich super hydrating day cream designed to add lasting moisture and nourishing ingredients to the skin. It is made using among others a multi-vitamin blend of vitamins A, B5, C and E, as well as sunflower and rosehip fruit oils. The creams helps reduce visible redness and dullness while evening out the skin tone and conditioning skin and soothing it with lasting moisture.

While the Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Moisturising Creme is so rich, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, which I really like, and my combination skin has really enjoyed the extra boost of moisture too, which I feel also has helped plump my skin, making fine lines look a little less noticeable. The cream has clearly left my skin feeling not only super soft and supple, but also with a healthy looking glow. It is quite concentrated, so you’ll only need a little, and it absorbs quickly and easy into the skin without any greasiness, so it is also perfect as a base for makeup.

The cream comes in the most gorgeous pink jar, and even the cream itself has a pretty light pink tinge, as well as the most beautiful delicate fresh fruity citrusy scent.

Then there’s the Ole Henriksen Pure Nurture Facial Water, which is a hydrating face mist made with a blend of ProVitamin B5, antioxidants, and a nutrient-rich botanical blend of cucumber and chamomile extracts.

The light face mist is designed to help soothe, hydrate and cool the skin, and it is essentially designed to prep skin before applying serum or moisturiser, but it can be used anytime of the day, and it truly feels absolutely amazing on the skin. It is great to cool the skin on a hot day, soothe the skin when irritated, or add extra moisture when needed, and it immediately leaves the skin dewy and glowing. I’ve also loved using it on top of my makeup throughout the day to freshen it up. It would also be an amazing travel companion on long distance flights where the skin always tends to get a little dry.
It comes in a convenient pump bottle in the same gorgeous pink shade, and it has the most refreshing light cucumber and floral scent.

Finally, there’s the Ole Henriksen Berry Nurturing Gel Mask, which is a hydrating gel mask designed to soothe, soften and nourish dry and sensitive skin.

It is made using a blend of fruit extracts from blackberry and blueberry, along with provitamin B5, and aloe vera juice.

The gel mask is used by applying a thick layer to clean, dry skin on face and neck, and then leaving it on for 20 minutes, before rinsing off or removing with a damp face washer. It can be used 2-3 times per week. Wearing the mask feels lovely and immediately soothing and cooling and as soon as you’ve rinsed it off, the skin both looks and feels so incredible soft and intensely nourished, and it has the most incredible radiant glow. I am not normally keen on moisture masks as I find them too rich, quickly making my skin feel congested and greasy, but this one is completely different, and I am absolutely hooked on how it refreshes the skin and makes it feel so soft and look glowing.

It comes in a large jar in the same beautiful pink shade, and it has a subtle yet gorgeous calming lavender scent.

I love that these products are made without parabens, sulphates and phthalates, but rather that they are made with nutrient-rich botanical ingredients that also give the products such beautiful natural scents, that are calming for the senses too.

So needless to say that I am impressed with these products from Ole Henriksen. I am particular in love with the Berry Nurturing Gel Mask and the Facial Water, and know that my skin will love the Nurture Me Moisturising Creme even more as we head towards the cooler months and my skin tends to get a little drier and also a little more irritated and sensitive from being exposed to cold winds and heating indoors. highly recommended.
