NEUTROGENA LAUNCHES THE DEEP CLEAN PURIFYING RANGE // PRODUCT REVIEW

I have all days struggled with my skin, even to this day where anti-ageing products should be my main go-to, my skin is still breaking to worse than a teenager’s. I’ve always enjoyed the products from Neutrogena, including their products from breakout prone skin, so I was excited to hear about their newest range, the Deep Clean Purifying Range.

This Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Range is designed to go beyond clean, by targeting daily impurities. Many cleansers can strip the skin disrupt the skin and strip it from essential oils. This new range has been designed to give the skin a purification-feel clean, but without stripping the skin, make it uncomfortably dry, or harm the skin’s surface.

In consequence, the Deep Clean Purifying products have been developed with a Barriercare technology or Triple Micellar Technology that are very efficient at cleansing the skin but remains mild and gentle not the skin.

There are four different products in the range;

First up, there are the Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Micellar Wipes and Deep Clean Purifying Micellar Water. And let me start by saying that I am not a huge user of facial wipes, for the main reason that I simply prefer to use a cleanser where I spash water in my face afterwards. As a consequence I tend to use facial wipes mainly when I travel on long-distance flights, where I find them super convenient.

So I’m thus not the right person to talk about wipes, so I’ll jump straight to the Micellar Water, which (like the wipes), are made combining three different types of cleansers to help remove even stubborn makeup, waterproof mascara, and also give the skin a deep cleanser while purifying it, targeting skin impurities like excess oil, dirt and pore-clogging makeup, for a softer and smoother skin.

I do quite like micellar waters, and I therefore of course really like that this one specifically help with my trouble some skin. When I do use micellar waters, I do use them to remove my make with, before moving on to a second and more deep cleanse, which I feel my skin needs.

For the deep cleanse, I like the new Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Clay Cleanser & Mask. It is a purifying cleaner containing kaolin that is designed to target skin impurities, drawing out trapped dirt, oil and makeup that can cause breakouts while the BARRIERCARE™ technology helps preserve skin’s essential moisture. I really like that it is a two-in-one formula as it can be used as a daily cleanser to help clear breakouts while keeping skin soft and healthy. Alternatively, you can also use it as a face mask a few times a week, leaving it on the skin for up to five minutes to dry (I like to use it while I brush my teeth at night, go to the toilet etc), before rinsing it off, for a more deep clean of the skin. I also love that it contains salicylic acid to give the skin a gentle chemical exfoliation and to further help unclog congested pores. It has a gorgeous fresh cucumber-like scent.

Finally, there’s the Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Cooling Gel Scrub, which is a cooling gel scrub that has been specifically designed to target skin impurities. The formula which has also been made with the BARRIERCARE™ technology helps preserve skin’s essential moisture, has some gentle physical exfoliating beads but also contains both salicylic acid and glycolic acid for a further gentle chemical exfoliation and also to help unclog and decongest the pores from trapped dirt, makeup and oil that can cause breakouts. I also like the cooling effect it has on the skin, which is no doubt due to the added menthol. This scrub has the same fresh cucumber scent and leaves the skin feeling so soft, smooth and glowing.

I have especially been loving the Deep Clean Purifying Clay Cleanser & Mask and the Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Cooling Gel Scrub and been using each a few times a week, and I definitely feel that they are making a difference to my skin, making it look clearer and brighter. I know that I will definitely be purchasing both pf these again, and also very likely the Micellar Water, as again, I do like that it is gentle on my skin, while giving it a deep clean than most other micellar waters I’ve tried. Plus, these products are also very reasonably priced too, so definitely worth trying to if you feel our skin is in need of a deeper clean.
