PRODUCT REVIEW: SUGARBABY AMPLIF-EYE PALETTE, GLOW GETTER AND CLOTH MASKS

Today it’s going to be all about Sugarbaby - a brand that I've only recently come across, but would you believe it, was founded back in 1998 here in Australia! Now why haven't I come across the brand earlier!

Let's start with the Sugarbaby Amplif-eye Natural Eyeshadow Palette, which contains 14 beautiful neural shades ranging from soft nudes to intense chocolate and charcoals, and even a black. The top row of the palette contains 7 shimmering shades, while the bottom row contain 7 matte shades. The shades are soft and easy to apply and blend, and they are also, especially considering the very low price of this palette, very pigmented and wear very well during the day. This means that you can easily build up the intensity of the shades (and even more so if you apply them with a damp brush!), or of course just apply them as a wash of colour.

I am a tad conservative when the comes to the eyeshadow shades that I wear, and these nude shades are right up my alley, and I'd more or less use every single shade, as they are simply all lovely and very wearable for both a day-time 'no- makeup look, or a more intense nighttime look. If you cannot afford or justify the hefty price tag of some of the branded nude eye palettes, then this one from Sugarbaby is a great alternative. I also love the packaging, the white leather look, with the large internal mirror and the double ended brush applicator, makes it look very sleek and stylish, and also more expensive than it really is.

Then there's the Sugarbaby Glow Getter Contour & Glow Kit, which contains four powders for contouring and two cream shades for highlighting. The four contour shades are designed to help create shadows to recede facial features, while the two creamy highlighters help add a luminous glow to the skin, and highlight features. There is a good variety of shades in the compact so most light to medium skin tones should be able to find suitable matches, and personally for my medium skin, there are certainly several good matches. I love that four the shimmery contour shades are still very subtle and not too glittery, although I could have wished for at least one matte shade. But apart from that all have a good pigmentation, and are easy to apply and blend as well as they have a good wear throughout the day, especially if you use a primer first and follow with a setting spray. This Kit also comes in the sleep white leather-look compact that includes a nifty brush and a large mirror inside.

Finally there's the Sugarbaby cloth masks. The Never Confuse the Moment Cloth Mask is a mask specifically to help enhance pigment and pigmentation, thanks to being infused with Witch Hazel Extract to assist with toning the appearance of surface imperfections, for a more even toned skin. It also contains Licorice & Pomegranate extracts help to reduce redness, whilst botanical extracts boost the skins tone and clarity, and Coconut Fruit Extract help assist in revitalizing and energizing the skin. After use of this mask, my skin feels soft and clean deep down every pore, to the point my skin feels more refined and less greasy.

Then there's the Are You A Firm Believer Cloth Mask which is an Anti-Ageing Defense mask designed to help firm and strengthen the skin. It is among others infused with Collagen and Sodium Hyaluronate which penetrate into the deep layers of the skin to help create a more elastic and resilient complexion, that is not only restored and nourished, but also soothed, calmed, energised and refreshed, thanks to the inflammatory extracts reviving antioxidants as well as Coconut Fruit Extract. And after use, my skin is seriously glowing with energy, and it is also soft and smooth, and feels and looks plumper so fine lines appear to be smaller.

Both masks are to be used on clean, dry skin and left on for about 15 minutes before removed.

Overall I am really impressed with these products from Sugarbaby, with my personal favourite being the Amplif-eye Natural Eyeshadow Palette, as it is simply shades that are so wearable and I'll be reaching for them daily, although the Glow Getter Contour and Glow Kit is a close runner up. But in all seriousness, these products are of surprisingly high quality considering their budget prices, and thanks to their packaging, they look very luxe too.
