PRODUCT REVIEW: THE VOICE FRAGRANCE FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Have you been watching the Voice? I have to be quite honest and admit that I am over reality TV, it is just getting too much these days, I feel . But The Voice is different, so I also have to admit that I have been following it. Timing unfortunately seems to always clash with getting my little boy bathed and put to bed, but still I’ve watched quite a few episodes. I like that the Voice easy watching and I don’t have to commit too much, so I can watch the show while doing a few other chores at the same time. How many seriously talented singers are there out there! And then there’s me making sure that I am home alone when singing nursery rimes for my little boy, ha!

And I know I’m not the only fan, the concept has taken the world by storm, and following the success of the show, two new fragrances that reflects inspiration and success in a scent, which is the nature of the television show, have just been released. Here are my thoughts on the *Voice Fragrance for Men and Women;

What They Say:

Following the success off the Reality show, Brand Point have released a fragrance that reflects inspiration and success in a scent, which is the nature of the television show.

RRP: Each $29.95 (100ml) – Available from Terry White Chemists, Amcal Chemists, Chemmart Chemists, and other select pharmacies and perfumeries.

What I Say:

These unique unique scents for him and her have been carefully crafted to indulge your senses and capture the fun and exciting magic of The Voice.

The Voice Eau de Toilette for me has top notes of lemon, bergamot, pineapple and mandarin, while the heart of the fragrance reveals notes of jasmine, lily of the valley and rose, which are combined with nutmeg and cardamom. The final notes contain amber, mush and sandalwood, making it a masculine fragrance.

 As soon as I opened the box, I was instantly thinking of the Calvin Klein ONE fragrance, a unisex fragrance that I have used quite a few bottles of, and still have one, that I share with my husband. It is so similar. So, in other words, both hubby and I really like it. It is green, citrusy and fresh yet slightly musky at the same time, so it is not too sweet for your husband or boyfriend to use. And although it is technically a men’s fragrance, and my hubby was quite excited when I gave it to him, I can easily see myself wearing it from time to time too.

The Voice Eau de Toilette for women contains top notes of lemon, blood orange, bergamot and green mandarin, while the heart is floral and feminine due to fragrance notes of jasmine sambac, orange blossom, lily of the valley, neroli and gardenia and ozone, while the final notes include musk, vanilla, amber, cedar wood and patchouli. It lovely is a fresh citrusy yet floral scent, with a warm and sensual feel.

 Like the Voice Eau de Toilette for Men, the Women’s version also reminds me of another fragrance that I have in my large collection, and my hubby said the same thing as soon as he smelt it on me – but sadly neither of us can think of which one it is. And while I find that the Men’s version is a unisex fragrance, the Women’s version is definitely completely a feminine fragrance – score for me, LOL!

Both fragrances come in funky microphone-shaped bottles, that look so real. Such a novel ideal, and how well does that tie in with the TV Show. And how perfect is if you’ve got a secret dream of becoming the next voice, as now you can really perform in front of the mirror!

Both fragrance have a fairly good wear of a couple of hours, before the scents fade and need to be reapplied, but considering these are Eau de Toilettes and come at the bargain price of just $29.95 each for a large 100ml bottle, you really can’t complain.

Are you a fan of the Voice? Who is your favourite judge? What do you think of these new The Voice Fragrances?

  1. I like the male version, it is a great every day one that is there without being over powering. I also know someone is going to love the empty bottle as a toy microphone.
