PRODUCT REVIEW: MY LITTLE CHLOES

Just before Mother’s Day, Chloé launched *My Little Chloés, a limited edition collection of mini fragrances. I was lucky to be sent one of these collections to celebrate my very first Mother’s Day, and here are my thoughts;

What They Say:
The newest edition of the Chloé signature line, Roses de Chloé, joins the collection of miniatures that also consists of Chloé and L’eau de Chloé. Each fragrance captures a different facet of the rose, now the iconic floral embodiment of the Chloé house. All three perfumes com in delightful 20ml miniature versions.

RRP: $45 each (20ml) – or $120 trio set 3x20ml – Available from David Jones

What I Say:
I am a huge perfume collector, as I simply believe that there are too many lovely scents out there to restrict yourself to just one signature scent, and consequently I like to swap and change my perfumes depending on my mood, the occasion and not least the season.

So these Little Chloés are absolutely perfect way of getting three new perfumes, and each bottle is small enough to also be put in your handbag so you can freshen up during the day.

The square bottles are very cute with the clear pleated glass walls and they have an oval clear cap and a silver collar. Each perfume is then distinguished by the different shade of the actual perfume inside the bottle and the matching petal coloured ribbon that has been hand tied around the neck of the bottle.

Chloé Eau de Parfum

This is the most sensual and the strongest and boldest of the three perfumes. It contains peony, freesia and fruity notes of litchi in opening notes; rose, magnolia and lily of the valley in the heart, as well as a blend of cedar and amber in the base, which makes it floral, yet with a slight woody undertone.

Roses de Chloé Eau de Toilette

This fragrance was launched in November 2013 and as the name suggest, it is rose based using damascene rose essence in a bouquet of freshly cut roses, as well as it also contains bergamot, magnolia and musk, which gives this one a stronger rose sent yet slightly powdery .

Eau de Chloé Eau de Toilette

This is the lightest and airiest of the three fragrances, and it is light green in colour and has a pastel green ribbon. It contains rose water as well as citrus notes and citrus zest, as well as patchouli.

So which of the three Chloé fragrances do I prefer? Very good question as they are all so different and unique. I do have a weakness light and citrusy scents so I do like the Eau de Chloé, it is perfect for a warm summer’s day. On the other hand the Chloé Eau de Parfum is perfect for when you want a slightly stronger scent, also because it is an Eau de Parfum, while the other o are Eau de Toilettes. But, that is not to say that I don’t love the Roses de Chloé, as the rose scent is such a lovely and unique rose scent.

But that is the beauty of this trio – instead of one large perfume, you get three, so you can swap and change and never get tired of any one of them. What a brilliant idea.

    1. Thanks Helena! I love the little bottles too, but generally do put perfumes back in the boxes and keep them in a dark cool place to try to make them last longer, which is a bit of a shame when they are this cute!
