PRODUCT REVIEW: LUST HAVE IT APRIL 2014

Another month of the year gone, and it is yet again time again for another beauty box, this time the Lust Have It. My box arrived on the 9th May, which really is late for an April box, and I am not really sure why this delay, as I believe the boxes used to be sent out around the 20th of the month. Also, I have seen other blogger reviews of the April box posted over a week ago, so it seems maybe it was just my box that was delayed, but as this is a PR sample, I really cannot complain, and I would hope that Lust Have It would make sure to send out PR samples last after all other orders have been shipped. Anyway, here’s my thoughts on the *April Lust Have It;

What They Say:

Lust Have It boxes regularly contains products worth $60+ for only $19.95/month! Monthly box filled with 5 to 6 premium beauty samples. Delivered to your home or work each month for you to try.

What I Say:

The Lust Have It Boxes normally come in a white box with water-paint style pattern in bright pink, purple and blue splashes of colour, and this month’s goodies comes in a newly designed box…. Well, actually it is a clear plastic makeup bag with bright pink edging and the words Lustre Beauty printed on it in pink as well. But I really don’t mind it being in a bag, as I have plenty of the empty beauty boxes floating around that I keep for tit bits, and this bag is handy too for storing makeup items.

So anyway, this is exactly what my April box contained;

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion – Sample Size 29ml (RRP: $9.99/225ml)

I really like this moisturiser and have repurchased it numerous times, so while I like this body lotion, sadly this sample doesn’t excite me all that much!

Bioderma Atoderm Cream – Sample Size 15ml sample (RRP: $29.95/200ml)

I have not really tried that many Biodarma product, so I am excited to be trialling this one out, although it is for dry to very dry skin, and I only have normal skin, but I am sure my legs won’t complain!! But considering this is the second body moisturiser in this box, I would have much preferred to try out another product from the Bioderma range.

WotNot Natural Organic Facial Wipes – Sample Sized Pack of 5 wipes (RRP: $7.95/25 wipes) I’ve said this before and will say it again, wipes do not excite me. And especially small sample packs of a product that is relatively cheap, at least them I would have expected a full sized pack. Guess it doesn’t help that I am not a regular user of wipes as I only use these when I fly long haul flights to Europe once a year, and when I am swatching products for the blog!! In saying that, I do like the WotNot wipes, so they will come in handy. One day!

Claytime Australia 100% Pure Mineral Bronzer – 3g Sample Size (RRP: $29.95 /10g)

The card with the product details claims that this is a full sized product with 10g of product, yet I only received a 3g pot, so not really sure what is going on there… I have never heard of Claytime Australia before, so I like the inclusion of this bronzer, and I generally like loose powders, so I look forward to testing this one out.

 Glamourflage Sultry Sophie Lip cheek Stain – Full Size (RRP$21.95/8.5ml)

I love cheek stains, and love my Benetint, so I love the inclusion of this one from Glamourflage.

It has a gorgeous pink colour once blended into the skin, or lips. This is also the first ever product that I’ve tried from Glamourflage, so I do look forward to trying this one out. And how cute is the retro packaging!!

So there you go, the contents of the April Lust Have It box.

Now what are my thoughts on this month’s contents….Sadly three of the products, the WotNot Wipes, the Bioderma Cream and the Aveeno Cream don’t really excite me all that much, and I would have loved to see some more unique items included instead.

It is lucky I really like the inclusion of the Claytime Brozer and the Glamourflage Stain, as otherwise the box – sorry bag – really wouldn’t be worth its cost – and even if the Claytime bronzer is still just a sample, the Glamourflage stain is still worth $21.95 so just making up for the cost of the box. And as I also like the new cosmetic bag that the products come in, and find it has some ‘value’.

So all in all, I cannot complain too much, although in terms of value, there is no denying that this is not one of the better editions. Fingers crossed that the May box will make up for it.

  1. I thought the exact same... hoping for more variety in May's box, I think I can probably make my own LHI box with the amount of bioderma and wotnot wipes received. Very excited about the Mary Kay Lip lacquer in may's pack :)

  3. Fo you have any tips on applying the lip/cheek stain? I have been using the brush then blotting with my finger to even it out.
    Thanks

    1. I generally apply a few dots to the apples of my cheeks and then blend with my fingers, but for a more intense look you can also apply a thin line from the apple towards the hairline, and again blend. Alternatively you can also use a sponge to blend with, but personally I prefer my fingers.
